Don't risk your car here

Service here has gone down so badly over the past couple of months, to a point I'm now boycotting the whole firm. My brand new car, one month old, now has two paint chips in my gloss black bumper and the boss firstly wouldn't accept liability then held my keys hostage until I'd paid the full cleaning cost, despite causing obvious damage to my vehicle! I check my rear bumper every day to ensure my kids havent scratched it with their bags, because this car is my pride and joy!

Useless don’t bother

Had a gold star service done. Was anything but a gold service first and last time using this wash. The under seal was clearly not wash properly they try to mask it up with some spray but since it was not clean it will not get shine, when asked was the car wash properly I got told they tried it 3 times but the haze comes back that’s coz the car body was not properly washed to start with. They good if you need a quick clean don’t bother spending too much with them it’s pointless. Will wash it myself over the weekend.

GO TO A DIFFERENT CAR WASH

GO TO A DIFFERENT CAR WASH! Absolutely awful. I paid £120 for an in depth valet and it came out horrendously, broken glass still in the car dust everywhere and even worse they took everything out of my car and kept onto it for a while which I hadn’t realised until I had gone. When I came to get my stuff back one worker had my charger and was using it in his own car! Showed them the dirt and dust and glass and only hoovered my car again no refund or partial refund at all. I will not be going back here.

Poor value and quality

I have my car hand washed inside & out once a month (so it’s never filthy inside) and have used Waves at other locations, always with satisfactory results. Last month, I visited the Eastbourne location, and they did a good job. However, this month, I was very disappointed. The interior hadn't been vacuumed properly, the windscreen was smeared, and the shampooing left the carpet excessively wet, causing my feet to slip on the pedals while driving home. Furthermore, they didn't hose or rinse the tyres, which I found surprising as every other car wash I've been to, including drive-through ones, does this. When I asked them to rectify the issues, there was a communication error as none of the staff on site could understand or explain the situation adequately. Eventually, I was informed that they don't rinse tyres, despite having done so on previous visits. The overall feeling I had was they didn’t really care about whether a good enough job had been done. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, I couldn't wait for them to fix all of the problems. I had already to wait an additional 15 minutes beyond the promised completion time. Overall, it was a waste of time and poor value for money, I could do better myself. I’ll go elsewhere in future.

Avoid this cash cow

Staff all but a few are friendly, prices are made up depending on who you are and who serves you, no matter the size of vehicle. I paid 25 one day then 35 another, same vehicle. Card machine often not working, cash is king. You can't avoid the tax and vat man with a debit or credit card! As for the cleaning itself, a ten year old with a dirty rag could do better!

Not worth the money.

Waves car wash at Tesco Broadbridge Heath. Absolute rip off for £33. Went for the ‘Gold’ package - inside and outside of my discovery. Very shoddy rushed job - the outside ok but the inside was very poor - mats not that clean and still soaking wet, dirt still on the doors and the floors had not been hoovered very well at all. Many places missed and barely clean. I came back to my car to 4 people hurriedly hoovering and wiping down - it was incredible rushed. A staff member rudely asked me to move my car as they needed the space for the next car - but he was unaware that someone was still wiping down the dashboard on the other side! I feel they just try to clean as many cars as possible in a short space of time and charge a fortune. Not worth the money at all - do not bother!

Waves- Colchester Highwoods.

Waves- Colchester Highwoods. Took my truck to have a £50 full wash, even gave him a tip. As I was in a rush I left without fully checking, the work was terrible, I was so fuming that I did not go back, as I did not want a confrontation. The hoover could not be working that well as dirt, seeds and visual loose materials at the back of the seats and gear stick. Could see where they attempted to clean the carpet, which looked like with a wet vac as carpets still wet. No re-hoovering to pick up the risen dirt grains. Front speaker covers were wet! Unsure what chemicals were us ed on the leather but ares still wet and smeary. Mud guards, wheel arches and foot plate brackets hadn’t been cleaned, dirt still on window seals. I will not be going back there.

Waves @Sainsbury's Winchester

Waves @Sainsbury's Winchester I asked for the interior and exterior to be cleaned. They said it would take 45 minutes and cost £25. I returned an hour later to find they still needed to start the interior. I waited over 15 minutes for them to finish. I paid £25.00, yet mud was still on the seats and some areas of the dashboard when I got in the car. They said they charge £10.00 per seat to get it cleaned, but I refused to pay for this after paying £25 already. It took them over an hour to complete, yet they hadn't touched the seats, and the interior still had mud around the doors and dashboard. I had to go clean it myself as I wasn't satisfied with their cleaning. I will not be going here again.
