Waves Car Wash has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.
Service here has gone down so badly over the past couple of months, to a point I'm now boycotting the whole firm.
My brand new car, one month old, now has two paint chips in my gloss black bumper and the boss firstly wouldn't accept liability then held my keys hostage until I'd paid the full cleaning cost, despite causing obvious damage to my vehicle!
I check my rear bumper every day to ensure my kids havent scratched it with their bags, because this car is my pride and joy!
Had a gold star service done. Was anything but a gold service first and last time using this wash.
The under seal was clearly not wash properly they try to mask it up with some spray but since it was not clean it will not get shine, when asked was the car wash properly I got told they tried it 3 times but the haze comes back that’s coz the car body was not properly washed to start with.
They good if you need a quick clean don’t bother spending too much with them it’s pointless.
Will wash it myself over the weekend.
GO TO A DIFFERENT CAR WASH! Absolutely awful. I paid £120 for an in depth valet and it came out horrendously, broken glass still in the car dust everywhere and even worse they took everything out of my car and kept onto it for a while which I hadn’t realised until I had gone. When I came to get my stuff back one worker had my charger and was using it in his own car! Showed them the dirt and dust and glass and only hoovered my car again no refund or partial refund at all. I will not be going back here.
What an absolute rip off and poor customer service.
What an absolute rip off and I don’t know how Tesco allow it as it’s giving them a bad name……..dropped my car off before shopping in Tesco and asked for basic exterior wash and for the next ten minutes they tried to get me to up it to a full valet for £50 and every time I said no they changed the price eventually down to £35 but I only wanted outside done at £15.When I returned 90 mins later they hadn’t touched my car and said they had been extremely busy…………I did notice however a 72 plate Landrover and a nice new BMW sitting in the bays that were definitely not their when I arrived……….he told me to come back tomorrow which is when I told him clearly what he could do with his car wash. These Tesco endorsed car wash companies have set prices but it’s like going to a Turkish bazaar and having to haggle when clearly you just want the price on the board.
Tesco Salford Shopping city carpark. Took my car in today for £30 inside and outside. I specifically told the guy to take care as on the roof there was a small bit of the paintwork damage and not to blast it. Ive come back and the car has been wrecked. They have blasted about a meter square in different places on the car. I wish i could post some photos before and after as you literally would not believe it. These guys think they are cleaning block pavements. I have contacted Waves complaint line and asked that the video recording is saved and that they call me back urgently. I have had no reply as yet. Stay away from these con men. I also contacted Tesco and they were little to no help at all.
Car not clean and unsatisfactory response to complaint
Car not clean and stick on overtaking mirror broken. Their response was that you can’t make an everyone happy. They allowed a former regular customer to leave unhappy.
Went for the first time to Waves at Tesco, Burnley and was charged £50 for an internal valet only. I came back to a car that looked like it had been vacuumed and wiped down but it still smelled exactly the same with no 'new car' aroma or air freshener used and lots of marks that i could wipe away myself with a damp cloth still there...
I feel like I've just been fleeced and when i returned to show the guys who had done it, i showed them where it wasn't cleaned and how it smelled stale...
The clue of a car sat there with the heater on full when you collect with the doors closed and no condensation on the windows, does say to me that no wet carpet or seat cleaning has been carried out...
Just for context i was in a small car.
Will not use this company again in which ever location it is...
Today I went to the waves car wash in Cambridge to clean my small polo inside and out. It’s always cost 25 pounds. I noticed new people working there and they kind of ignored me and were incredibly dismissive. He then quoted me 70 pound for cleaning my small car!!! I laughed as I could not believe it but he said it was incredibly dirty ?! It was not that dirty. I drove up the road to another car wash where he quoted me a reasonable 25 pounds and he did a fab job in under 30 mins. Never have I have ever been so insulted about the cost of a car clean! Will never go there again and so happy I found an honest company up the road from there
Terrible service at Tesco DISS Norfolk
Am basically ripped me off £20 just for a wash
Was still dirty after the wash
The guy was very rude
Wanted to pay by card but of course the machine is broken
Never going back
I have used this car wash at Beckenham Elmers End Tesco on several occasions and years ago it was a lot better. I went yesterday to have an interior and exterior clean. We agreed on a price however when I went back to collect my car the franchise owner said it was £5 more as it was dirtier than we thought. Now this is an interesting point. I have no children, and I only use it for taking the dog out and shopping. I had it cleaned a week ago at another car wash service. I just felt that he had my car keys, and I did not want to get into a confrontation with him. Beware as the price they agree is not what you pay when you collect. Also, above all, it was a poor service. I had to hover it when I got home. A lesson is not going back. Also, when I arrived, I was the only customer and when I got my car there was no one there so obviously people are becoming aware. Beware.
Waves at Tesco Didcot. Under new management. The last lot were terrible. This new guy is fantastic. My car was filthy and now looks like new. Thank you
