Don't risk your car here

Service here has gone down so badly over the past couple of months, to a point I'm now boycotting the whole firm. My brand new car, one month old, now has two paint chips in my gloss black bumper and the boss firstly wouldn't accept liability then held my keys hostage until I'd paid the full cleaning cost, despite causing obvious damage to my vehicle! I check my rear bumper every day to ensure my kids havent scratched it with their bags, because this car is my pride and joy!

Useless don’t bother

Had a gold star service done. Was anything but a gold service first and last time using this wash. The under seal was clearly not wash properly they try to mask it up with some spray but since it was not clean it will not get shine, when asked was the car wash properly I got told they tried it 3 times but the haze comes back that’s coz the car body was not properly washed to start with. They good if you need a quick clean don’t bother spending too much with them it’s pointless. Will wash it myself over the weekend.

GO TO A DIFFERENT CAR WASH! Absolutely awful. I paid £120 for an in depth valet and it came out horrendously, broken glass still in the car dust everywhere and even worse they took everything out of my car and kept onto it for a while which I hadn’t realised until I had gone. When I came to get my stuff back one worker had my charger and was using it in his own car! Showed them the dirt and dust and glass and only hoovered my car again no refund or partial refund at all. I will not be going back here.

I've been using this carwash for a long time and have never had any problems, all the staff are very friendly and work hard to get my car gleaming I think they offer great value for the work they put in I shall be there this morning for a pre Christmas valet

Never again !!

Do not use this service if you want a clean car !! Booked my Shogun in for the full works £95. So expected it to be clean when finished, said it would be about 1½ hours, which was happy with, left them to it !! Got back a bit early so sat and waited for them to finish. Watching how they worked, not to my liking, told them they had missed some on a window to be told they got to go over it again yet ! They took about another 20 minutes and then came and said its finished!! So I went and inspected the bit I told them about still needed to be done, missed bits on the bodywork, so discussed this with them and they said it's not a new car from the showroom, it should be as good as for the price ! Barttered the price down. Got home and examined it better, and roof hadn't been finished, more bits missed on sides. Rubbish still in the car not been removed. Will not use again and wouldn't recommend.

Utter rip off - Portsmouth

I was surprised to find the cheapest optionfor an inside and outside clean is £33 but agreed to go ahead as it’s in a convenient place and although it’s been a while, I have been there numerous times in the past and it’s been a good job done. I returned to my car and opened the door to see the passenger front hasn’t been touched, so I asked them to come and sort it while I waited. They apologised and got back to it, and also looked into the back, presumably to check that nothing else was missed. I drove off and whilst sat in traffic I have just looked into the back seat and it hasn’t been done! I’m not even home yet and I’m writing this review because I’m annoyed and feel completely ripped off. I’ll have to do it myself now when I get home as I’m not going back there again - not today and not ever! Two stars given because they did do a good job of the bits they bothered to clean.

Mold Waves - Damaged car - disgusting customer service-

I used to go to these guys a lot, thought they done a reasonable job of my car. However a last minute decision to go there was costly! Returned to my car, to find a patch of my clear coat sprayed off, the guys denied it, and went further to say my whole car would peel! I took it to 4 places all said, someone has got too close with the jet wash. No paintwork issue. They won’t even give me insurance details advising they don’t have it for every car?! Accidents happen, but the owner Waly and his team have lost any respect I had for them, given I was a returning customer, very disappointed in their lies, dishonesty and how unfair they have been. Avoid unless you want a costly bill.

I usually only write positive reviews but I’m so cross about my experience. Firstly, to book in you have to give Waves with almost as much personal info as you would to open a bank account. If you think you’re going to a car wash to have a dirty car cleaned, think again. If you think the prices advertised are to wash a dirty car, think again. The guy looked at my car and said because it was dirty it would cost almost double. I remarked - isn’t that why people come to a car wash - to have a dirty car washed? He said the price was only for people who had their cars washed regularly not for dirty cars. I won’t bore you with pictures but my car wasn’t that dirty but probably would have taken a bit more effort than washing an already clean car. The car wash business must be very lucrative as he wasn’t at all interested in my business (nor Waves looking at all of the bad reviews). Now a car washing company had a load of my personal info, which is worrying, for nothing. I don’t know if this approach is Waves policy or if the individual decides what they want to do. Looking at the reviews it seems the service is variable depending on the location. This was Shoreham Tesco.

Brilliant car wash.

Have been coming here since I moved into the area 2 years ago. Always an exceptional clean both inside and out whatever the weather, no exception today with it being very cold and damp, both mine and my daughters car were immaculate. Staff are very friendly and polite.

Waves@Tesco Orpington: Was told by operative to come back in hour and half and it would be ready, so gave it a bit longer just in case. Got back there and they hadn't even started on my car. Weren't even that busy, and looked like they were messing around. Give wide berth, expensive also for what others in area will charge. Wasted couple hours!

Very Disappointing Service

Very Disappointing Service – Damaged My Car & Poor Customer Support I recently had my car washed at Waves Carwash in Hemel Hempstead, and I am extremely disappointed with the service. Not only was the quality of the wash poor, but the staff caused damage to my vehicle. After the wash, I noticed that several interior components, including electrical systems and sensors, were malfunctioning—likely due to water damage. The seats and floor were left soaking wet, which only worsened the situation. When I reached out to the company to address the issue, I was met with complete refusal to acknowledge any responsibility. Instead of offering to resolve the matter, I was accused of lying about the damage. This response is not only unprofessional but deeply frustrating, as I now have a car that is not functioning properly and no one willing to take accountability. I would strongly advise against using this car wash. The service was subpar, and the lack of care for my vehicle and refusal to correct the issue is simply unacceptable. I will not be returning, and I suggest others think twice before trusting Waves Carwash with their cars.
