Travis Perkins Plymouth (Sutton Road) Go Above and Beyojnd
Travis Perkins Plymouth (Sutton Road) have been absolutely amazing, going above and beyond to help our youth theatre bring a performance to life at Totnes Castle. Matt and Mack have borne been so helpful and giving of their time and energy, Mack single handedly delivered Heras fencing up to the castle in the heat, thank you!
I realised I had made a mistake with an online order for 4 fence panel's when I received a text notification of the date of delivery. They were due for delivery from a supplier in 2 days time. Slightly stressed, about the possible cost implications if I was too late to cancel the order, I had a problem as the website contact number was incorrect. I had a call with Mark (workington Store) who put me in touch with Stuart ( Online team) who sorted it out for me. He cancelled my order with the supplier. Both were friendly, understanding, professional and quick to act. Thanks for great customer service. Lynn
Travis Perkins Rhondda are superb. I have been buying stuff here regularly for when I visit to help get my daughter’s place sorted. They have simply been great from the start. Advice on setting up an account, making it easy to order with them, helpful when I go into the branch. Friendly and accurate info always supplied. Bought from them over six times , had deliveries four times and all gone perfect. Danny, Ryan and the rest of the team, I thoroughly recommend you.
I had an urgent need for bricks and building sand, as I had my bricklayer for a few more days.
I called the Canterbury branch, and Mike was invaluable; he visited the site on the same day to ensure I could obtain the correct bricks for next-day delivery, as the bricks I had ordered would have taken another week to arrive. The delivery driver was also very helpful. Best team ever.
I’ve never had reason to use Travis Perkins before now, but I have been blown away by the excellent service of the supremely polite and helpful staff at the Market Harborough branch. James was a study in patience and good humour, and offered sound advice as I stumbled through my order - just before closing time - on Wednesday And Joe the driver? Well, the man’s a magicician in a lorry, and reversed it round a 90 degree bend in a tight country lane that most of us wouldn’t attempt in an estate car. He could easily have not bothered, and dropped the goods elsewhere, but he was incredibly obliging and went way beyond my expectations. I’d give them both 10 stars (and a big pay rise) if I could. Bloody brilliant 👏
Made an order for sand and cement, and set my delivery date. After midday on the scheduled day of delivery, I called the branch to see where my delivery was and I was informed that the delivery driver was 'sick', without any warning, email, SMS or call. If I had not called them, the branch would have be okay just no informing me that it wasn't coming. Worse still, when I called it was very clear that the branch made zero effort to find another solution to remedy the issue. The staff I interacted with at the Putney branch was extremely rude, including a condescending tone as if I was wrong to even ask the question where my order was. I had arrange contractors to come to my house on the weekend (which was a fixed cost to me). Instead of proposing a minimum effort solution, the staff at the branch said "if the driver is still sick, my order wont be delivered again" and "it's not my [TP's staff] fault that the [apparently single driver they employee/use] is sick". Terrible and never again to use TP.
We have an unmanned site and our local depot, headed by Stuart at Dunbeath Road, Swindon is always really helpful. Tricky job yesterday and the drivers went above and beyond - superb customer service. Thank you.
Bedford Branch is exemplary. Every time we place an order on the telephone (on this occasion with Pete) the customer service is spot on in every way. As for the delivery team (today Lee attended site) he was very professional, personable and very skilled carrying out an awkward delivery of 8 bulk bags of 20mm shingle in an area with big shrubs dotted around. Even when a provocative neighbour decided at that very time to rod the communal drive drains whilst Lee was trying to manoeuvre the vehicle out of the cul de sac it didn't phase Lee in the least. He was calm and professional and caused no tension. It would have irritated a lot of drivers - a credit to Travis Perkins.
Want to say thank you to Hugh for his great customer service. Really went the extra mile and took all 20 cement bags to the bottom of my garden, to which I am most grateful. So nice to see people still willing to help.
