Just a one night stay.

Stayed there for one night on the 16thJuly 2025. Our air conditioning wasn’t working we call for help with it no one bothered to come. The shower just leaks into the room very bad design and a hazard if you have a disability also the shower sink and toilet are enclosed with glass so a great surface to land on if you slip over due to the water from having a shower. We had mobility issues there is a disabled platform at the entrance. No one bothered to even show us how that works. As we struggled with our walkers up and down the stairs at the entrance. The banging breakfast well I’ll let you decide that for yourself but their banging isn’t exactly my idea of a banging breakfast.

ABSOLUTELY APPALLING - AVOID AT ALL COST

I stayed at the Soho Z Hotel for three nights, shelled out £780 for the privilege, and left feeling completely ripped off and exhausted. Where do I begin? The shower ran cold, constantly — no hot water at any time of day. But even that was a treat compared to the unrelenting sound of flushing water and sewage pipes echoing through the walls at all hours of the night. Sleep? Forget it. As if that wasn’t enough, I was “greeted” each morning before 8am by ear-splitting drilling right outside. Thanks for the unsolicited wake-up call. I raised these issues with reception multiple times, and was met with indifference and zero effort to resolve anything. No apology, no action — just blank stares and a clear message that they didn’t care. And as a final insult, there was no room refresh during the entire stay — not once. For £780, I expect at least clean towels and a bed that gets made. This place is a total scam dressed up as boutique. The only thing stylish about the Soho Z Hotel is their talent for overcharging and underdelivering. You couldn’t pay me to come back here

DO NOT GO HERE

DO NOT GO HERE! CRIMINALS! My bed stunk of urine. The shower was freezing cold - no warm water. When I complained the staff not only denied it and did nothing but were rude, unprofessional, lied to me multiple times - literal cowboys. This place should be shut down and its staff change career

Do not stay in the basement

If you want to hear cascades of water from other bathrooms or the rumble of the tube trains stay in room 717 although I imagine all the basement rooms sound like they are flooding. TV did not work either. There was a overhang over the bed so very clostrophobic.

Trafalgar z hotel

Trafalgar z hotel. Small room but £50 for a night in central London I couldn’t fault it. From the cleaners to the receptionists, they was all so friendly. Clean room and lovely white towels. Plus the added bonus of feather pillows. 10/10

We were finally heard!

We bought 2 double rooms at The Z Hotel Trafalgar through Booking.com for the night of 20/11/21 to celebrate our daughter's 20th birthday. The plan was that after dinner and drinks, she would go clubbing with friends and we would see a show and reconvene at the hotel. She was due to travel down to us in London from Bournemouth first thing on Saturday when we received a call from a friend to say that she'd become unwell; he'd called an ambulance. I called the hotel straight after he'd rang (approximately 9am) to speak with them directly but reception explained I'd need to email their duty manager. In emailing I noted that the hotel was fully booked and felt that they may hopefully have enough time to resell the bookings - check-in wasn't until 3pm. They replied to say that they have a strict policy regarding refunds but that I would be allowed to rebook as long as I made contact within a week. By this time we were at the hospital and learned that our daughter was seriously ill. We stayed by her bedside for almost 24hrs before checking in to a local hotel exhausted to get some sleep. I managed to reply to Z Trafalgar updating them on how grave the situation was, how much stress we were under and that I would submit hospital records to substantiate what I had informed them of already; requesting that I be refunded under theses extenuating circumstances. The hotel replied that I had until March '22 to make a booking or could gift the rooms to friends or family. Our daughter is currently a long-term patient in a hospital over 100 miles from where we live; we will be travelling this distance regularly to see her. We really don't need the extra stress of re-organising our booking, never mind gifting the rooms. We feel that Z Hotel Trafalgar are displaying an utter lack of compassion in not refunding us. We've enjoyed a previous stay at Z Shoreditch and this will be the last time we'll ever stay or recommend this hotel chain again. I feel shattered by their lack of humanity. UPDATE - I received a full refund and a really kind email. Thank you so much.

Rude Awakening

We stayed at Z Hotel City in London. We were woken at 3am by a very noisy alarm in our room. I ran down to reception to work out what was going on. My wife started to dress our young children. We assumed it was a fire alarm but I quickly realised there were no alarms elsewhere. The man on reception said he would come to our room. He arrived and proceeded to use various tools to try and silence the alarm. I recorded this bizarre scene on video as proof of our experience, a strange man on the floor next to our bed in a very small room struggling to silence the alarm. The man finally succeeded and said it was something to do with a faulty gas alarm. He was apologetic and said to talk to the manager in the morning. My son had been seriously ill in hospital in the lead up to this get away so we weren't sure about travelling with him. However we decided we all needed a break from reality. This rude awakening was absolutely awful and quite traumatic for both our son and daughter but the manager assured us that something would be done in terms of compensation. I have written to Z Hotels directly twice and had no response whatsoever. The staff at the hotel were very sympathetic and we really felt like they cared about us. However the management at the company have certainly displayed no empathy for our experience whatsoever. We really would have appreciated at the very least an apology in writing.

Dealing with the people at z hotel has…

Dealing with the people at z hotel has been the worst experience I've ever had in all my years of booking hotels. Be careful when booking this hotel the service I received was shocking and I lost out of my booking fee and apparently even if it's their error they refused to refund you as it's company policy it's very risky booking with these people. Take this as a friendly warning especially with z hotel strand. You will get ripped off!!! Stay Away!!!

Sad to say the worst hotel I have ever…

Sad to say the worst hotel I have ever experienced and such a shame! I spent one night at the Z Hotel Covent Garden last night and the experience was nothing short of awful. I was given a room in the basement of the hotel, which I was fine with, the room itself was fine (basic but clean and efficient). However upon climbing into bed I was met with continuous bang and stomping sounds coming from above me - as though people were moving furniture around. It was so loud that even putting in headphones and playing music did not drown out the racket coming from above. And this continued all night - from 1am all the way through to 6am. Upon asking the next morning if there were any rooms on the ground floor of the hotel, the reception told me “no there are no guest rooms on the ground floor” - so the sound being made all night was coming from the Night porters/staff. Now being able to sleep when in a hotel room is probably the most important aspect of the function of the room. And being kept awake all night due to actions of the staff is just totally unacceptable. Sad to say I won’t ever be staying with Z Hotels again. The experience left me understandably exhausted and drastically effected my ability to work the next day.

Tiny little overpriced rooms. Rude staff

Really disappointed with this hotel- location is amazing but NOT worth £350. Would have preferred a Travelodge which just up the road. The room is tiny, pokey bathroom with no privacy, no wardrobe or fridge. Staff are lazy and don’t want to know. Couldn’t even give us a few cubes of ice. Book a Travelodge and save some money!

This brand of hotels provides excellent service and the staff are very accommodating. They really cater for the need of their guests. I.e I had been travelling for a business trip a week ago, they had food available for guests at 12 am, and the staff also helped with local amenities.
