Refused to by a previously registered diplomatic vehicle
Refused to by my car because it was previously registered a diplomatic vehicle. Gave no reason or explanation. Useless company, vasting my time.
They mention resale restrictions and company policy making it inpossible to buy formerly registered diplomatic vehicles. This BS, there are no restrictions on selling that kind of vehicles. If it is their policy, they should inform about it in advance, not waste the customers time.
This was an experlent way to sell my car quickly and easily. Connor Mountain was particularly helpful in this process after I had filled in the online questionnaire.
Everything went smoothly and the payment was promptly maid before the vehicle was driven away.
Many thanks to the whole team
Excellent service from Craig and the team the collection driver was well mannered and courteous all in all a first class experience and can recommend to anyone selling their car
It was really easy to do, smooth transaction. very nice people. Answered any questions and paid instantly. Would highly recommend these. My car didn’t get picked up so I took it in and they arranged transport for me home, really thoughtful.
Polite & easy to deal with on the phone. Answered all my questions fairly. The collection of the car went perfectly. The 2 young men turned up when they said they would & both were polite & respectful. The sale then went off without a hitch.
From making the initial enquiry to the car being picked up, everything was made simple and straight forward. Also everyone I spoke to was helpful and polite. I would not hesitate to recommend.
2 parts.. all nice and lovely and efficient over the phone.
Then when they come to collect the car they decide they want to change their quote. I was very clear that the car doesn't jump start and despite that they offered 1k for it. So then driver comes and manages to jump start the car and then they decided to offer £200 becoz the battery needs changing.
Beware. Unless you are desperate don't sell to them. I am becoz am moving otherwise I would prefer to have sold it to someone else.
Recieved a quote; uploaded photos including all damage; received a revised /tailor made quote. Accepted it and booked in the car to be sold four days later. I explained to the salesman Robin that I would not be negotiated down on site and for his email confirmation that this price was guaranteed as he said it was over the phone. He didn’t provide so I responded to his email to confirm ‘as discussed’ this is what had been agreed.
Two minutes later I got a call from someone in ‘valuations’ who told me that they had made a mistake and hadn’t factored in the damage and the (massively reduced from the original) quote I had been given was wrong.
Very underhand indeed! So have taken my car elsewhere.
When it came to selling our car we had owned for almost 20 years it seemed a daunting emotional task. However we contacted The Car Buying Group for their advice and immediately the process became so much easier. A young man called Paul explained every step they would take to ensure a trouble free sale. He arranged for the car and documents to be collected and payment automatically transferred into my husband’s bank. We are grateful for the kind but professional way Paul and his colleagues assisted us
Not a perfect service but effective.
I needed to sell a vehicle and contacted the company. They very quickly replied, asking for photographs and provided a reasonable quotation. For various reasons, I did not pursue their offer (I'd had a slightly higher one which fell through) and when I phoned them back they explicitly told me that they would honour the previous valuation.
I was not impressed that a few minutes later I was contacted again to be told that they had made an error and could not honour the earlier valuation. They knocked £500 of their offer because the market had changed. Their sales patter was amusingly transparent - claiming they would make a loss on resale, they they were only making the offer they did because I had been given misinformation... - but I had no real choice but to agree. Further misinformation was given about the process and the payments.
Eventually, a manager contacted me and explained the situation. He arranged collection around my work commitments and the process was fine thereafter. I had anticipated an attempt at re-negotiation on collection but the driver arrived, took his own photos and they accepted the car at the price agreed.
This process requires a huge amount of trust in the companies involved: I had to send them the negative equity on the car and allow them to take the car and it took 5 days for the finance to show that it had been paid off. But everything did go through without issue.
Total waste of time!
I was late back to work to talk to these jokers, said just 5 min... 15 min later NO Price! Instead I get a "we'll email you"
I thought I'd give a realistic target only for them to take the Mick. You get better offers from FB marketplace.
DON'T EVEN BOTHER.
And I'm not wasting MORE time to send more emails to you. Do one.
