Underhand tactics- avoid
Recieved a quote; uploaded photos including all damage; received a revised /tailor made quote. Accepted it and booked in the car to be sold four days later. I explained to the salesman Robin that I would not be negotiated down on site and for his email confirmation that this price was guaranteed as he said it was over the phone. He didn’t provide so I responded to his email to confirm ‘as discussed’ this is what had been agreed. Two minutes later I got a call from someone in ‘valuations’ who told me that they had made a mistake and hadn’t factored in the damage and the (massively reduced from the original) quote I had been given was wrong. Very underhand indeed! So have taken my car elsewhere.
