I have travelled with RSD a few times and have never had a bad experience. An excellent way of seeing a country at an affordable price.
Went to Sri Lanka with RSD - fantastic countryside, amazing friendly people, good hotels and an amazing journey around the country in all its guises - one of the best trips of my life (I travel 10 mths a year) - why so good - people, no hassles of any kind going out, low cost economy, wonderful weather - an absolute gem of a holiday full of variety with something for everyone.
We had a wonderful holiday seeing so many UNESCO sites in Kosova, North Macedonia, Montenegro & Albania. Except for the last one, which was a little bit "Soviet era", the hotels were lovely with excellent food, very comfortable indeed. Our Turkish guide Gdoikca went above & beyond to help all passengers on her coach, even rescuing a hearing aid, which had fallen out in Cafe Mozart in Budva, Montenegro & organising for someone to drive it to our hotel at least 2 hours away so we had it before the coach left next morning.

I too am very unhappy with the way we have been treated. We were due to travel on March 28th and despite many phone calls and e mails have had no refund as yet. The advertising leaflet was sent with the RCN magazine (nursing standard) i am now a front line worker..stressful enough and little time to keep contacting rsd. Annette Bradley.

I read with interest RSD's reply (19hours ago-Thursday 30.4.20 16.00 hours) to the recent complaint of No contact-no service. We too were due to go on holiday to Croatia on Sunday 26 April last but had it cancelled by RSD. We have travelled with RSD on a number of occasions now and have quite enjoyed them. Although I'm sure many people, like myself are sympathetic to RSD's problems due to the virus. What has let the company down quite badly is the complete lack of communication with its customers. I have received one letter confirming the cancellation, that's all. When I have managed to speak to staff on the telephone they have been most unhelpful and bordering on being rude. The message on the RSD website is old news now and very much needs updating. It is good that in the reply that I mention above RSD state their intention is to reimburse customers within 28 days. I will hold them to that!

We were booked to travel to Morocco on 19th March 2020. We were advised that our trip would be cancelled and they would contact us later. Unfortunately, it has been up to us to chase and contact this company. After many emails and phone calls, we are no nearer in getting a result ie a refund of monies paid. Their customer service is appalling , we have had no formal contact apart from an email sent later. We do not think this is good enough when we are entitled to a full refund. They take your money readily but if problems arise, it would appear to be a fight to get resolution. Susan Parker Since posting this review, yesterday, we had a notification to confirm that a full refund of our holiday will be given. I would like to say a big thank you to the RSD team for this positive response. Susan Parker

Travelled to Croatia , RSD refused to cancel on march 10 despite worries over Covid19 Had 2 days trips then flown home. RSD refusing any compensation at all. They knew they shouldn't have flown us out but would have had to compensate if they cancelled. Took flying supplements and money for meals etc. Dreadful way to be treated.....they absolutely refuse to make any good will gesture. BEWARE.

Good trip, with the usual stops for carpets, jewellery etc - you know the score. One very nice and fancy hotel but in the main, most hotels are pretty basic, slightly better than Travelodge but this could be because these were the best that they had. Top Tip: Especially for Brits - kettles and tea & coffee are NOT provided in 99% of the hotel rooms; appears that this is just not the done thing so bring your travel kettle and teas & coffees if you want an early morning cuppa or a drink before bed. Also, in almost all the stops, food was reasonably readily available so no real need to go for their evening meals, which I think are a bit on the pricey side.

I must complement red travel for the way in which they repatriated customers from Morocco the staff were professional and and helpfull. With regards to the Holliday's they sell expect to be taken to various outlets where overpriced carpets, costs and jewellery are on offer. And expect to be offered various upgrades. But the basic holiday is as described many people you meet on these toures Hove been on several rsd trip's

We went to Croatia, Bosnia Herzogovina and Montenegro in early March. Everything about the holiday went well and smoothly. The 4* hotels were clean and up to standard. We had wonderful sea views for three nights. The guide and driver were good and helpful. We bought the upgrade to half board and the food was good and plentiful. The tour took us to some amazing places. Great value and a good time of year to go, but there were two rainy days which did not dampen our spirits. You don't have to buy the carpets, jewellery or leather goods if you don't want to.
