We booked the Princess Premier Package…

We booked the Princess Premier Package and for 2 days now they've blocked my stepsons medallion insisting he can only buy non alcoholic drinks. He's 28 years old!! The ship is tired and a lot smaller cabins than other cruiselines we've used. Spent more time at guest services than enjoying the actual cruise

policy problem

The cruise experience itself was actually pretty good. The problem I have with them is a policy issue. My fiancee works for an airline and is able to get travel discounts, which she used to book the cruise. After booking I was looking at the Princess website and realized they offer a military/veterans onboard credit. As a vet I thought this was great. I went through the verification process and waited for my credit to be applied. And waited, and waited. I decided to call customer service to see why the credit hadn't been applied. I was told because my fiancee booked with her discount that I wasn't entitled to the veteran's credit. I'm not sure what one has to do with the other, but I hope Princess addresses this in the future.

Poor security majestic

I'm so surprised to a company like princess has so many issues with customer safety, with insecure rooms, witnessed customers being attacked infront of staff, two other incidents that almost led to attacks in front of staff who in the staff words "didn't want to involve security as the head gets angry" which i can 100% relate to with his dismissive and confrontational attitude when we tried to reported our concerns with not locking rooms, the green unlocked light stays on even when you are out of sight of your cabin, allowing anyone behind you to enter your room without your knowledge, apparently not a problem from the head of ship security (you won't be covered on insurance) repeated entertainment and menu if on for over a week, dirty plates and napkins left on buffet tables, not to mention the movement sensor light in the cabin that comes on if you go to the bathroom at night and lights the whole room without being able to turn it off.

Phone Customer Service

I have 8 guests going on Enchanted Princess cruise this summer. It’s difficult to book the excursions online due to having 3 rooms including a PH suite. I decided to call to book. Waited forever only to hang up after 20min. The lady on the phone can barely speak English. I asked to speak with someone else many times and she ignored me. She also had no idea what she was doing. Unacceptable Princess considering what this cruise is costing me.

I will never use or recommend this…

I will never use or recommend this cruise line again I reported the cabin steward for making advances towards a young female passenger. At a later date he took her into the cabin opposite us, where he was supposed to be cleaning! In addition the Master cancelled 4 of 6 ports of call - this is apparently usual on this itinerary so please don’t waste your money.

Secretly cancelling cruises

Princess cancelled our cruise to Dubai. I called to ask and they said it was due to geopolitical tensions (which is understandable). I give Princess credit for processing the refund quickly - within 2 days. But the process was weird. I got an email from HSBC asking me to sign up to their portal to receive a refund. Initially I thought it was spam, but after looking closer, I saw the amount matched my cruise ticket price. I looked for a similar notice from Princess about my cruise being cancelled, but there was nothing. So, I called twice and emailed 3 times asking for the reason in writing (an email or pdf). This is needed so I can get airline refunds to and from the cruise. I spoke to a second customer service representative this morning and they promised me a response by the end of today. But that has passed with not a word. It is bizarre that they can send multiple upselling emails, but when the cruise is cancelled - no email. There must be thousands of us in a similar situation.

The food was terrible.

The food was terrible. Compared to Royal Carribean, Carnival, Norwegian, and Celebrity, the food on Princess cruise ranks last. In addition, the non-production shows were hit and miss, and the farewell show was the worst I have seen in any previous cruises.

Food is really bad

Food is really bad, same food everyday. Very little vegetarian options. Worst bit is they closed dinning one day. So that they have more business on speciality restaurant. The food thirr restaurant suks. Carnival,Royal Caribbean have alot better food, entertainment and rooms. Rooms have lots of safety hazards.

Brilliant

I am stunned by the negative reports on here. We have been on 3 cruises and have 2 booked for this year with Princess. We have found them nothing but brilliant. The food, the berverage package, entertainment, the decor and the staff we would rate highly. Perhaps our expectations are not as high as others.

I have had an unacceptable experience…

I have had an unacceptable experience with Princess Cruises in particular Laura McRae Guest Relations Manager who may be subject to disciplinary action and there is a petition to have her suspended from work. I demand a Director contacts me by return. Failure to do so may result in further action.

Carnival took over

Sappire princess antarctica cruise. The crew was great, but the food was awful. Managers were bad too. Any problem you had was turned back on you. You should have known. You should have investigated. All I had was the app and the patter that left important details out. The crew chat was a joke and must be the phillipines office. This was the first cruise I was ready to leave before the final date. Regular princess cruisers said this was the worst one they had been on, mostly because of the food. The Nickel and dimeing was so bad you thought you were at a time share. Regulars said other princess ships are better, but they have not been on them for months. On every other cruise I felt like I was special at one time or another. Not this one. I just feel like a target for possible income.
