I initially had a frustrating experience with PCS Legal. Communication was very slow, and I had to chase them weekly for updates. Despite promises of call-backs, none ever came, and their online portal was never updated, which added to the stress. I eventually raised a complaint with their client services team, but the response was disappointing—they claimed I had been contact within 72 hours, which was only true because I kept calling them myself. However, things took a turn for the better thanks to Maria Enright and Mia Raj. They were absolutely brilliant and helped push my sale through, even while dealing with a difficult solicitor on the buyer’s side. They were responsive, proactive, and kept me informed every week via email. Their professionalism and dedication made a huge difference. Because of their efforts, I’ve increased my rating from a 1 to a solid 4 stars. If PCS Legal can improve their overall communication and consistency, they have the potential to be truly excellent. I would highly recommend Maria and Mia for anyone going through a property transaction.
First of all I would like to thank Donna for always being so helpful and thorough. She fought our corner and fast tracked everything so we can finish the process in time. It has been a lengthy conveyancing process but in the end it was all worth it. Solicitors have been professional and always easy to reach by phone. My only recommendation would be to have less people dealing with one case so e-mails don’t get missed ( 2 max 3 people). Would highly recommend.
Eleanor and Alana were both great! Amazing communication and very greatful for all the hard work over the last 9 months(length of time was sellers solicitors not PCS) thank you both so much!!!

There was a few bumps along the way, but every time was super quick in their response and we got everything sorted in the end. Used again & will continue to use. Big thanks to Liam who was the one dealing with everything.

Do not go anywhere near this law firm. I made the mistake of asking them to support on my sale and purchase of a house move. Despite multiple chasers and queries, they did not respond to a single query dating back 6 weeks. They created nothing but stress and anxiety in a very stressful situation. AVOID! Thank you to Dan at Conveyancing Index who helped me get a refund and find a new conveyancing solicitor!

I was assigned the EMERALD Team from their Pitsea office and specially dealt with Eleanor McHugh as my designated handler. I found Eleanor to be brilliant throughout the process, with very quick responses and assisted me in chasing for updates when we weren’t hearing much from the solicitors throughout the chain. My experience was absolutely stress free and I can’t say how thankful I am and also how lucky I feel for that. Would highly recommend Eleanor to anyone.

We finally made it, but I believe we missed some deadlines due to our solicitor (and others) poor follow-up. One PCS employee was exceptional, and it was noticeable that there was little progress when they were out of the office. The portal is a good idea, but only if it is kept up to date, which gives the client an insight into what is happening. Recognising that housing chains break apart, there was added stress to leave some activities to the very end, for example, ridiculous indemnities.

UPDATE Two months later, I’m now being pursued by the service management company because PCS has failed to complete their paperwork—six months after completion was finished. The service management company is now demanding approximately £660, which PCS has not forwarded to them, and they are threatening to escalate the matter to debt collectors. I’ve been calling and emailing PCS for about a month, multiple times, but rarely receive a response. On the few occasions I do get through, I’m told they will speak to Molly and get back to me—yet no one ever follows up. At this point, I’m seriously considering reporting PCS to their governing body due to the lack of communication and failure to resolve this issue. ###### I would not recommend PCL Legal based on my recent experience selling and buying a property. The fees ended up being higher than what was initially quoted, and communication throughout the process was extremely poor. I rarely received proactive updates and had to constantly chase for information, often spending hours on hold listening to hold music that ironically boasts about efficiency and customer service—neither of which I experienced. A particularly frustrating part of the process was the delay in exchanging on my purchase. I had to complete the sale of my home before the purchase was ready due to their delays, which left my family and me relying on relatives for temporary accommodation. We were insinuated this would be a short-term situation (around two weeks), especially since the sale proceeds were held by PCL. However, this ended up stretching to two months, with no transparency or accountability, and no mention of any interest accrued on the funds they were holding. It was only in the final week of the transaction that communication slightly improved. Looking back, I noticed many of their positive reviews are tied to prize competitions, which is concerning and something I unfortunately only noticed after instructing them. Overall, I found the experience stressful, poorly managed, and not reflective of the service they claim to provide
