Bought the chair from Motus nearly 3 years ago and still as helpful. Booking the service was easy and price given before booking. Engineer turned up on time and stripped the chair checking everything.... See more

Friendly, informative engineer.
Friendly staff, a few mix ups on the delivery - wrong colour wheelchair chassis (being solved soon) and miscommunication about the manual recline. The hand controls weren’t changed to suit my needs upon delivery but will be when replacing the chassis colour panels.
Great service and extremely customer friendly, one of the best suppliers. Not the cheapest but they are superior and well worth that bix extra. Very professional, approachable and friendly. A pleasure to have as as supplier and service team.
Excellent service when booking ,part required was ordered. Part fitted and chair serviced all as agreed. Just excellent all round from the office to the engineer that serviced
I’m writing to complain about my power wheelchair, I have not had the chair for more than 3 months and I have had nothing but problems with it. When Callum came out to assess me in October, he measured me up, we also asked for a larger footplate for my feet and a longer arm for a body button for my leg to operate the Omni screen. He let me try the demo chair with the head array and it was brilliant. When Callum came out to deliver the chair after months of delays, he adjusted the head array for my head position. I had to call the office 2 weeks later to complain that the chair was too wide and I was sliding all over the place, when Callum came back out he adjusted the chair so it was narrower, we also asked about a wider footplate, longer arm and a wire extension but nothing has come off it. The head array has been faulty, I rang the company up again about 2 weeks later as i was having problems with the head array as it kept going around in circles on its own and also the chair kept on stopping because the head array is classed as the joystick and wasn’t centering properly and kept on coming up with an error code and it wouldn’t move. I was stuck in Newcastle with my Personal Assistant which is 45 miles plus return and my partner Sophie had to come and pick me up and also the next day I couldn’t get to my dentist appointment. We rang again a week later and then Greg for the same problems as before, to be fair with Greg he didn’t know what was wrong with it and at the same time we mentioned about the wider footplate and leg arm which had still not been supplied or fitted and had to ring the office up but managed to get it working for about a week until the same problem happened and I was stuck in a coffee shop, this has happened 2 times and then Tom came out as the chair wasn’t responding to the controls, we turned around and said that this chair is not fit for purpose and he sternly said we are not going down that route and just shut us down. He had to turn off the proximity sensors on the head array so now I have to use force control to turn left and right. It seems to have been working for 2 weeks so then had to ring back up again as I was stranded in town in the pouring rain as the chair decided to go forwards on its own and would not stop. I had to ring the company up twice as the first woman called Karen said she would speak to Tom and hung up on me so I had to ring up again and spoke to Kat who managed to get an engineer out that same day. I have Cerebral Palsy in 4 limbs and I need to operate the chair with my head only, I enjoy going to football matches, car boots sales and going to town as this gives me my independence, since I have had all these problems I have lost confidence in going out as I’m fed up of being rescued every time I go out in it. I have been given 2 free football match tickets for next week and I’m worried that the chair won’t get me there and back as the chair hasn’t been fixed. This chair cost me £16k, when Callum came out to assess we told him what we needed and that was an outdoor chair which would carry out my needs and he suggested the head array which comes from America as it’s state of the art and for my needs. On the assessment, Callum never told me that the head array was for ideally indoor use only and not to get wet in the rain as I found out that it is not waterproof so yes the chair is not fit for purpose. In my opinion this head array is not fit for purpose for my needs which is an expensive bit of kit and I wish I kept my NHS wheelchair and my money as once again I have no confidence in the chair or the company.
Everyone at Motus are extremely friendly and helpful, Mark who came to see me was very helpful and I felt I was under no pressure to purchase at anytime. All in all I’m glad I chose Motus over others I would highly recommend.
Despite a waiting period of 18 weeks for the delivery of my Meyra Optimus 2, when it was delivered by Callum Thompson to me on 24th February,2023,l can honestly say that it is amazing, everything that I had wanted. In addition,Callum was patient and accommodating enough to supervise me practising outside on it for a while. Furthermore, after Callum left,l realised that l would have preferred a Luggage Rack on the back, instead of the Luggage Box that l had purchased. I contacted Karen Dawkes, who made immediate arrangements for the exchange and refitting to be done by an engineer, this Friday,3rd March, only a week after original delivery. Karen has always been professional and helpful since day one, regularly keeping me updated. Many thanks to her.
I can only write my review based on my experience with Motus Medical thus far. All was great in the beginning, an engineer came to my home to demonstrate the electric wheelchair I was interested in for my child. I was originally informed it would be a 6-8 week wait for delivery. I had raised several thousands of pounds towards the chair but needed to apply for funding from a charity to cover the balance of the cost as the wheelchair is approximately £16,000.00 in total, Motus Medical advised me what charity I should apply to. The charity agreed within approximately 12 hours so I placed the order in mid October 2022 with Motus Medical. The estimated delivery date has been pushed back many, many times with Motus Medical citing delays, firstly with fabric shortages, then component shortages & finally with Scoot Control stock which has been ordered for assistant control of the power chair. As of yesterday, the estimated delivery has now been pushed back yet again to the end of March which is well over 5 months after I placed my order. I will update my review as & when I feel it is necessary.
I ordered my Meyra Optimus 2 RS off road powered wheelchair on Friday 21st October,2022,when the representative came to my home. I ordered several optional extras which took the total price to around £9,000,of which l immediately paid half of by card. I was told by the representative that I should receive the power chair after about 8 weeks,so around 16th December 2022. Upon hearing nothing l contacted Motus Medical and was told that the new date would now be 13th,January,2023,an additional months delay. I was really disappointed. I called the company yesterday,4th January,2023,to see how things were going, and was now told that there may be a further delay due to a part having to be ordered from China and sent to the company in Germany that makes them. I feel really upset by this constant delay. I didn’t expect it and wonder how much longer it will go on for.
Motus helped choose the right type of motorised wheelchair to suit my needs and had it made to measure. Despite Covid Supply chain manufacturing delays, Motus kept me informed at every stage and managed to get the machine delivered within a reasonable time frame. Well done for a helpful and professional service. The demonstrator person was particularly patient and helpful
Everything went very well from the initial visit to the delivery of my scooter and I am very pleased with it
Easy to do could have done with a copy through the post as I had to ask someone to print it off
The rep that came out was brilliant. The order was placed with 4 to 6 week delivery. After 6 wks we were told it would be mid January before it would be shipped to them. We obviously complained as this is a child's wheelchair and 5 months for it to arrive is unacceptable. They agreed to lend us a chair but this took 2 months to get to us. Still have not received our ordered wheelchair.
The home visit was very helpful in making sure I got the right fit and extras required for my needs. Everyone I dealt with from start to finish were so helpful and supported me throughout to delivery. No question was silly and they all went the extra mile to get delivery expedited.
Good salesmanship and knowledge. More attention to the customer's views needed.
Horrible experience from first day to now I still waiting to return an faulty wheelchair cost £15.000 reported and requested return from first of September 2022 Court claim in course
They go above and beyond with customer service and after care once you have bought a wheelchair. They are very caring and actually want the best for the client, it's not all about money money money like other wheelchair business's are. Recommend them 100%. Duncan is one of the nicest people you will ever meet.
Very reliable company. All my questions got answered, home presentation was very useful, just care and repair service out of the warranty time.
Very professional but I’m not sure when I’ll get my chair !! Mark delivered it but the was a problem with one of the axles

Motus Medical receives high praise for its exceptional customer service and knowledgeable staff, with many reviewers highlighting the helpfulness of team members like Sarah, Duncan, and Tom. Customers appreciate the thorough communication throughout the purchasing process and the professional handling of product delivery and servicing. However, some reviews mention significant delays in delivery times, with one customer experiencing a wait of three months despite a quoted timeframe of four to six weeks. While the quality of the products, particularly wheelchairs and powerchairs, is generally well-regarded, the delivery issues have led to a few lower ratings. Overall, Motus Medical is celebrated for its commitment to customer satisfaction, though improvements in delivery efficiency could enhance the experience further. The sentiment is predominantly positive.
