I recently used the Tooting Bec branch of Marsh and Parson to sell my property and cannot speak highly enough of their Director, Angelo Mulholland. Angelo and Thomas Syms were reliable and honest in their dealings with me, they are both highly experienced agents who know the wider housing market and the local market well and understand the impact of the change in one on the other. Connor Marney, managed the on-the-ground marketing and sale of my property, an absolute star! Calm and reliable, unfailingly polite and hard working I felt really fortunate having Connor as part of my sales team. A big thank you to M&P, I have no hesitation in recommending you!

I worked with Marsh and Parsons to do a short-term lease. My agent rushed me to send over full funds (deposit and entirety of rent) immediately to secure the flat, warning me that I might not get the place otherwise, so I did. He wrote to confirm that I got the place. A month later, he said that I actually did not get the place as apparently the landlord was no longer renting it out, despite the contract and confirmation. He “generously” — that’s sarcasm — offered to refund the money. When he sent it back, it was short $1k. He refused to do anything else about it. Not only did he fail to fulfill contract obligations and screw me over that way, he also caused me financial loss for the privilege.

Excellent

Excellent - James Cutting at South Ken office knows how to do things. We moved from another well known agent having had very few viewings and no offers over 4 months. James recommended making basic improvements to a dated flat and staging it. We had two offers within two weeks and completed at the asking price. It was worth paying a little more in commission.

Poor communication and unprofessional

Poor communication from the property manager, Elisabeth​​​​ Ppasa. Both the landlord as well as the tenants had to chase her via emails. They do not return the rental deposits on time, giving lame excuses.

Avoid Avoid Avoid

Avoid using this company if you have any choice whatsoever. As a buyer of a potential property, they play off offers when the client has already ‘accepted’ and are 100% untrustworthy. In a market that is already stressed by interest rates and uncertainty, they add to the BS by being both unprofessional and 'green' at the same time. As a vendor i will never use them. Total time-wasters. Queens Park office need to have a look at their behaviour.

M&P rental service a disaster

Do not use M&P to let out your properties. I’ve used them for years and the service was ok until they developed a new co-coverage model where they have a team of people cover you instead of one person for each property. Absolutely awful experiences on properties I let through them under new model. Key information not communicated (delaying moving in date for tenant despite dated contract signed) and then being inundated with non-sensical emails from people relating to property issues they have no clue about. It’s so bad I am going to sever my relationship of 15 years with them. Whoever designed the pooled coverage model is a COMPLETE IDIOT as it does NOT work for landlords. I hope someone senior sees this review as the pooled model is a DISASTER for landlords

They hire good people

Jasmin​​​​ Popalzai is our replacement tenancy manager and she quickly got up to speed with our paperwork as our previous manager left suddenly. Jasmin is friendly and communicated well which is really important when dealing with clients.

Very present and proactive until you sign your contract. Then the nightmare starts....

I am surprised that they are in the business for such a long time when they act like amateurs - at least the Brixton branch. I rented a flat through them 2 months in advance. They were very present and persistent until I signed the contract. After that they disappeared and did not have any information about my moving in process until 2 days before. On the day of the move in, they realised that they needed me to sign some papers and do some stuff that should have and could have been asked before. So I had not only to deal with moving but also sorting out admin stuff before they could hand me the keys. For my surprise, on the first few hours in the flat I had handles coming off, lights falling off, doors coming out of place. I say for my surprise as they supposedly had a check in before I moved in. A few days later they sent me the inventory for the flat, but for the wrong flat. Raised these issues with them and the mess just escalated. 3 weeks in and I still have blue tack all over my walls, doors not in place, lights hanging on top of the sink and people giving me different information - when they decide to answer my emails. The handyman is booked for a month from the date I moved in and I am wondering which compensation I will get for living in a place that is falling apart for 1 month.

Warning! Not recommended for landlords or tenants!

Terrible response time for handling issues after moving in. The check-in process was a mess (they wanted to delay it, despite our movers stamping at the door!), the check-in cleaning was awfully poorly done and the windows and gutters were NOT cleaned as agreed upon. It’s been almost a MONTH and this is not resolved. The check-in clerk discovered mould all over the property, which is problematic for my husband with asthma and our young children. The realtors have not responded at all to our complaints about this. The only reason I do not give a 1 star is because they were very eager and proactive to have us sign and easy to deal with during the search process. After signing and paying the deposit, everything stopped. As a landlord, I would not want this company dealing with my house. They did not check the basics in the contract were lived up to, the property has dilapidated in their ”care”. Reports to the landlord were met with surprise ”I had no idea!” which is a very bad sign. Would NOT recommend to tenants OR landlords.
