Marsh and Parsons, Tooting - a really good experience!
I recently used the Tooting Bec branch of Marsh and Parson to sell my property and cannot speak highly enough of their Director, Angelo Mulholland. Angelo and Thomas Syms were reliable and honest in their dealings with me, they are both highly experienced agents who know the wider housing market and the local market well and understand the impact of the change in one on the other.
Connor Marney, managed the on-the-ground marketing and sale of my property, an absolute star! Calm and reliable, unfailingly polite and hard working I felt really fortunate having Connor as part of my sales team. A big thank you to M&P, I have no hesitation in recommending you!
I worked with Marsh and Parsons to do a short-term lease. My agent rushed me to send over full funds (deposit and entirety of rent) immediately to secure the flat, warning me that I might not get the place otherwise, so I did. He wrote to confirm that I got the place. A month later, he said that I actually did not get the place as apparently the landlord was no longer renting it out, despite the contract and confirmation. He “generously” — that’s sarcasm — offered to refund the money. When he sent it back, it was short $1k. He refused to do anything else about it. Not only did he fail to fulfill contract obligations and screw me over that way, he also caused me financial loss for the privilege.
Incompetent and liars.
I approached Marsh and Parson in 2015 enquiring about properties to be let as company let for serviced accommodation use.
The corporate manager in charge in 2015 told me that it's necessary that our company has 3 years company account in order to be able to rent properties from them.
I patiently wait for 3 years and every year updated the corporate manager with our annual company account.
In December 2018 I approached again the corporate manager which has now changed.
I show that we finally produced the 3 year company account but she fail to see that we made the 3 years company account and for some inexplicable reasons she keep saying " you don't have 3 years company account".
I had to break it down in a very elementary way and show that it's clear that we have and also a kid could understand it.
Eventually the " corporate manager" ( it's shocking that a corporate manager it's not able to handle a company account) understands that we have 3 years company account and we start a lengthy references process, which ends whit the " corporate manager" saying that she will contact us as soon she find something suitable for us.
I try to get in touch with her about some properties listed but she always says they are not suitable for serviced accommodation and some times she also not reply to my emails.
Surprisingly when I enquire via the normal negotiators of different branch they sound very open and interested in discussing with the Landlord a company let agreement, however any sort of negotiation dies in the moment that the " corporate manager"get involved - she claims that the property it's not suitable for the type of use we intend to do.
Passed 6 months we have never been contact by the " corporate manager" and no properties have been proposed by her.
Given the size of Marsh & Parson and the amount of stock they take on board across the 31 branches in 6 months, it would be an offence to the intelligence believing that none of the properties they had on book was unsuitable for company let, therefore I decide to contact agin one branch and the " corporate manager" separately.
I asked the " corporate manager if anything was wrong given that she never proposed a flat in 6 months to us, but she says, as usual, that it's all good and she will let me know if anything available.
The agent of a branch replies to me that the property I'm enquiring for it's not suitable for company let and propose something else instead, however he call me back after a while saying that the viewing has to be cancelled because the corporate manager told him that our company has never been approved by her(!!!!)
I call back the " corporate manager " asking clarification on this given than 10 minutes before she told me that it's all ok, and she replies saying that: " that agent it's very new, he didn't know that the property it's not suitable for a company".
I call back the agent which reinforce his theory that he has been stopped by the corporate manager " because we are not approved by her"
Here clearly someone between them it's lying given that the agent says something and the " corporate manager" it's saying something different, therefore I ask clarification about it but both of them refuse to answer and actually the "corporate manager" warns me that "if i don't trust her" it's not possible to continue work together, which makes me laugh given that the "corporate manager" hasn't been able to source a single property for us in 6 months and across 31 offices, therefore I don't see what she means by " working together".
Given the facts happened and the behaviour of Marsh & Parsons employees, I have to say that despite all the nice, sparkly and glamour appearance this company has incompetent and liar employees.
Interviewed with a sales position with Rosie in Hammersmith head office area.She was very fake nice and asked me thousands of questions and wasted my time, money and effort. In the interview I explained my relevant experience all over the world where I have worked. Something she or others would rarely see. I was honest and polite in the interview and she called me stating i was not competitive enough for the job!!! HAHAHA. I worked and lived internationally and that is not competitive?!!! I explained to her I was competitive as you can see or if she can read English properly to see my experience!The agency is a joke in addition to many others why real estate agents in the UK have such a bad reputation because, you people are nasty and rude and do not like to hire international people and come across as racist! Most of these people working in these agencies are too high or drunk to make valid decisions.
Absolutely appalled with the way my disabled mother has been treated by your lettings agents - after hearing convincing lies about the property she was due to move into, and having to go through an absolute ton of hoops and processes to finally finish tenant checks (amazing how you do all of these tenant checks, but YOU are the ones that should have to do these to prove YOU aren't lying!) she gets told a DAY before moving into an unfurnished property that the old tenant's furniture still hasn't gone yet. She had arranged removal vans to move her furniture in. She is never able to properly get hold of an agent, and when she does, now she's signed the contract, their attitude unsurprisingly changes from nice to smug and unhelpful. The fire alarms are broken as well in the property and this will be reported to the local council. You have the cheek to take £20k of my mum's money two months in advance and treat her like this. I had to console her as she was crying for most of a day due to the stress this caused. You disgraceful people, you should be ashamed of yourselves.
Lie 1: Told at signing of tenancy, and reaffirmed a day before moving in: "The broken curtain pole will definitely be fixed"
Actual: It hasn't been fixed at all. Still broken and health & safety risk.
Lie 2: "The house has been professionally cleaned" (as is required under the terms of the contract)
Actual: Oven is filthy - I wouldn't cook food for my worst enemy using it. Stains over carpets. Inventory clerk told us that there was actually no professional clean and it was just somebody hoovering for a bit. There were half-empty wine bottles left by the previous tenant and other empty bottles of things left all over the place.
Marsh & parsons response smug and dismissive and maintained that a "professional clean" had been done. Luckily we took photos.
You need to sort out these failures or face an official investigation from ALTA.
Marsh & Parsons let a flat for me in 2016 and 'their' tenants terminated in December 2016 and left the UK; I re-let my flat through another agent and the tenancy started in February 2017. One of the Marsh & Parsons tenants contacted me from Sweden in February 2019 to ask as a favour for a copy of the signed electronic version of their former lease held as an office copy by Marsh & Parsons. I obtained it and forwarded it to the former tenant.
Within two weeks I received a demand from the Marsh & Parsons credit controller Joshua Albright for fees of almost £8000 for the period from December 2016 to date based on 'evidence' he had that the tenants were still in my flat and were still paying the utility bills! This was complete rubbish and a try-on and I openly copied the correspondence with Marsh & Parsons to the subsequent letting agent as confirmation. My last email from Albright was to demand a copy of the subsequent 2017 lease as 'proof' which he also copied to the subsequent agent - an accusation of dishonesty copied to his competitor which amounts to defamation.
I referred the matter to Marsh & Parsons CEO Patrick Littlemore and of course have not heard a peep from either of them since - perhaps they are in financial difficulties and are trying anything to shake out cash....
Definitely to be avoided and I trust they won't be around much longer.
It is hard to believe this agency can legally operate in this country. They are run like organized crime: the xenophobia, sexism and homophobia are also palpable in every interaction, yet just insidious enough for TPO to say there is no "evidence." Everything switched from regular to HELL the day the tenancy started. A series of lies, deflections and obstructions following the fact that the shower did not work for a whole month whereas fixing it had been a pre-condition for the contract to start! These people are so HORRIFIC (no exceptions either, it's as if they've all been trained by the same evil mastermind) they simply "terminate the call" when they cannot answer in a way that doesn't indict them. They fix nothing. EVER. It's been 18 months, I am on my SECOND TPO complaint. Also TPO seems to always side with big business no matter how strong your case is. So when agencies like Marsh & Parsons act evil they know there is no real system of checks and balances so they are free to always just offer excuses, lie and SCAM tenants. I've had BED BUGS and MICE and the common areas are NEVER cleaned, ever. It's a pigsty and they always claim it's beyond their responsibility. You can talk to the secretary, the manager or the CEO (I have). They're ALL jus lacking in human decency and empathy. They seem to get high off of tenant misery, it's very bizarre. STAY AWAY.

They were exposed on Channel 4 a couple of years ago, setting up a dirty cash deal deal with a very dodgy Russian oligarch who wanted to money launder his illegal dirty money with 'no questions asked'.Google 'From Russia With Cash' Channel 4 and the Guardian. The part of the Russian was played by an actor. Channel 4 set up Marsh and Parkson's agent. He fell for the trap and said 'no questions asked', about the origin of the dodgy money.
Leslie Marsh is a total disgrace and a thoroughly dishonest man.
This company is regularly monitored by the City of London Fraud Police.
His chief accountant - Christopher Brand, is and equally dishonest individual. He has made a fortune and purchased flats. One of them is 225 Hollylodge Mansions Oakeshott Avenue N6 6DX
He has rented long term to a dysfunctional aggressive woman called Lisa Marie who does not work and spends her day harassing her neighbours. Doing exercises jumping up and down dropping heavy objects and playing African drums.
Drumming, dropping heavy objects, riding a large mettalic adult scooter at all hours of the day and night. Even at 4am.
Exercising her 6ft 18 stone body dropping heavy objects day and night. Absolutely vile disruptive anti social woman on benefits.
She has a child of 7, - Faith who is totally OCD/ADT out of control does triple cartwheels when allowed out due to excess nervous energy, who at the age of seven she does not attend school . Never attended school. Never socialises with other children, does not attend school. Just races back and forth all day and all night and jumping off a ledge on to the floor to make maximum impact and disturb neighbour beside them and below.
Never attended one day of school in her life.
This hyperactive child isat home no exercise so she spends day and night harassing the neighbours at Hollylodge Mansions.
Walls are paper thin in this 100 year old block, without sound proofing disturbing the neighbours. Drops heavy objects. She jumps from a chest of drawers onto the floor to create maximum disturbance for neighbours.
We are an elderly couple who have the misfortune to live next door to this dysfunctional family at 225 Hollylodge Mansions.
This severly anti social tenant does not work on benefits, is home all day disturbing and harassing her neighbours. When we went to her flat to complained we were screamed at by an aggressive man who appeared to have mental issues or a drug problem. We never went to that door again.
This overweight 6ft woman from South Africa exercises daily jumping up and down disturbing her neighbours. She has been cautioned by the local police.
She has been investigated and visited by CamdenvChild Welfare of Camden 'Mash' and Merlin, /Social Services more than once, who enquired as to why she is refusing to send her hyper active child to school.
This child is completely dysfunctional as is the mother out of control She spends all day when not at school doing all she can to disrupt the peace of this block, throwing heavy objects on the floor, racing back and forth.
She is cared for by an elderly man during the summer months. This old man returns the child at 6pm and the mother is never in.
This dysfunctional single parent family have been harassing and disturbing their neighbours at Hollylodge Mansions for at least ten years.
It's a disgrace this hyper active ADT child does not attend school.
The flat is owned by Christopher Brand chief accountant of Marsh and Parsons who was expose for illegal corrupt practises on Channel 4 and in the Guardian. He does nothing to stop this ongoing problem despite police intervention.
Brand could not care less and suggests complaints are made to the council despite him being the owner//landlord.
Google Channel 4 'From Russian with Cash' you will see the Marsh and Parsons corrupt sales agent telling the corrupt Russian agent that he can sort him out dirty money is ok no questions asked by Marsh and Parsons.

This is the worst estate agent in the UK. Dishonest, untrustworthy and unreliable.
We dealt with the Camden office who lied throughout. They offered to show us a flat and agreed a rent. The flat was not available despite them taking out deposit.
Do not deal with these thieves, they are not to be trusted. Leslie Marsh was involved in dealing with criminal Russians in a no questions asked money laundering scam four years ago. Highlighted in the programme 'From Russia with Cash'. He was set up by Channel 4 who exposed him as a fraudster helping corrupt Russians to launder stolen money.
Avoid this company like the plague!. They are corrupt and rotten to the core.
