Very present and proactive until you sign your contract. Then the nightmare starts....
I am surprised that they are in the business for such a long time when they act like amateurs - at least the Brixton branch. I rented a flat through them 2 months in advance. They were very present and persistent until I signed the contract. After that they disappeared and did not have any information about my moving in process until 2 days before. On the day of the move in, they realised that they needed me to sign some papers and do some stuff that should have and could have been asked before. So I had not only to deal with moving but also sorting out admin stuff before they could hand me the keys. For my surprise, on the first few hours in the flat I had handles coming off, lights falling off, doors coming out of place. I say for my surprise as they supposedly had a check in before I moved in. A few days later they sent me the inventory for the flat, but for the wrong flat. Raised these issues with them and the mess just escalated. 3 weeks in and I still have blue tack all over my walls, doors not in place, lights hanging on top of the sink and people giving me different information - when they decide to answer my emails. The handyman is booked for a month from the date I moved in and I am wondering which compensation I will get for living in a place that is falling apart for 1 month.
