I bought a sim but i am unable to receive calls and texts on that sim,

Firstly, I had great difficulty obtaining a PAC code from Lyca Mobile as the text to the switching service would not send. After finally getting a PAC code, it then would not work so I had to wait an eternity to finally speak with a human at Lyca. Secondly, after switching off auto-renewal, Lyca are now taking another payment. I have tried to sign in to Lyca website to make sure it is turned off but it now doesn’t recognise my number as it has been ported. BEWARE!!!!! After reading my review they initiated a refund for £5, only problem being they took £25 from my account. Lyca Mobile, I hope you read this and initiate a further £20 refund. Update 19/05/25 - Lyca are attempting to take a further £25 from my account although I had asked them to cancel future payments.

I recently sent a formal complaint to Lyca Mobile. While their website clearly states a 5 day resolution time and claims Lyca will provide transparency on progress for each complaint, I have not heard back from them at all after 10 working days! Will provide a review for every step of this process too because this experience is quite shocking for UK consumers

*****the transaction date, as requested is 25 Feb, although this is available for you to see on my Lycamobile account***** I still have a £10 credit on my account (as I pay by direct debit each month) and they are telling me there is no way of using it or refunding it. Just easier to follow the complaints process, give them 56 days to resolve and then move the complaint to OFCOM, their call!

Well, using the messaging system as well as calling the call centre, and the last resort of emailing customer services, I had no response or extremely long waiting times and constant disconnection when you do get through. So after three days of no service, I bolstered myself and I went back to the LIA system near the end of the day! After the first few connection problems with the Agent(s), Michelle was excellent in guiding me through the system to SIM swap, as my current Lycamobile SIM stopped registering to the network. So just hope the SIM swap went correctly, a 24 hour wait. 5 stars for Michelle, the agent who helped me. but the Customer Relations Management system itself needs improvement.
