The estate agents at keenans were incompetent luddites who slowed down our process of buying a house immensely and almsot caused the entire sale to fall through. They took forever to respond to e-mails (if they ever even did), ignored questions and left out key information, delayed passing time sensitive information from the sellers to us, and overally made the experience a nightmare
There is now a ninth access request so far this year this time for a house inspection. I can't work at my career/ job. Then as i'm tidying up for a house inspection they send me a a rent invoice even though i paid my rent three weeks early. They have toxicated my e mail inbox. And i can't work due to never ending access requests. There e mails to me are horrible.
The viewing team is really good and at the start they make you feel like buying from them is a good idea
But once you have the bid accepted it comes a different ball game. Rat like pushy and people who don't work in the local branches take over.
I wouldn't deal with them buying or selling
When I sold my home they priced it higher than expected but couldn't sell it for months on end. Lowering the price and taking a large cut. They did not keep me up to date with the guy buying it even tho they had contacted to try and let me know about works and negotiations
Keenan’s have been brilliant.
Harry, Jack, Sam and all the team have been amazing from day one. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they just get the job done. Thank you all for being so lovely and professional.

We choose Keenan’s Swinton to sell our property.
Please don’t make the same mistake!
Firstly they overvalued the property massively.
The customer service from this company is non existent.
After 3 months with a lack of interest and viewings due to their poor sales pitch we decided to change estate agents.
After giving notice to them to pull the property from their company by surprise in the last week of the notice they had a potential buyer who wanted to view! We was then told they had received an offer on the property to which we accepted. Unfortunately we had to constantly keep chasing Keenan’s for any information as we was not updated. This proved stressful for us as the lack of communication was horrendous, couldn’t get hold of the branch manager after numerous calls and excuses from the sales team like she wasn’t in the office or she was on a course etc. promises of phone calls back but they never materialised. We was stressed and stuck in limbo for weeks to find out they couldn’t make contact with the potential buyer. This left us thinking that there was never any offer just stalling tactics to sell with them and not our new agent. Selling a home can be stressful enough you don’t need the added pressure from an incompetent company like this they don’t warrant the one star but unfortunately there’s no option for zero.
My most recent contact with Keenans Rawtenstall has been great, in particular Sam who escorted me on two visits. He was helpful, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He also showed that he cared and made every effort to resolve issues for me.
I bought a property via Keenans in Nov 2023 and was assisted by Faye & Emily. I kept in close contact with them throughout the whole process, they kept me updated regularly because it certainly wasn’t a straight forward purchase by any means and was very challenging. They were a pleasure to deal with, very helpful, and are a credit to Keenans.
We all worked well together and the purchase completed successfully.

I used Keenans as managing agents for my home when I was working abroad and needed to let it out.
The service was very poor from the word go and cost me directly financially and indirectly through stress.
When I gave notice to end my relationship with Keenans they ignored me until I made a formal complaint. Keenans ignored my formal complaint, I went to the ombudsman and Keenans misled the ombudsman, that is the last straw for me, simply breathtaking.
I would recommend anyone to avoid Keenans like the plague
Having moved home eight times and also managed a couple of major company relocations earlier in my career, I have a fair idea of the level of assistance estate agents can offer and tend to use them because of their ability to identify a 'good' buyer and to manage the post-offer process. Our initial impressions of Keenan's was positive; the local office was very friendly and achieved our asking price reasonably quickly -although our's was a very sellable house, to be fair. From there everything went downhill. The representative we had been dealing with left and from that point the local office took no further interest. We were 'managed' by someone from a distant office who appeared not to have been briefed about our situation and who by his own admission did not pick up a variety of significant issues affecting our buyer which ultimately caused the sale to come close to falling through. I found myself frequently having to tell him what was going on elsewhere in the chain. He was pleasant enough, but I wanted more than this for the fee I was paying. At the same time I received regular feedback from our buyer and also from another interested party that it was all but impossible to contact Keenan's; phones at the local office went unanswered and people had to come directly to us for information. We received no messages from the local office even when we completed; this confirmed the impression that their initial welcome and friendliness was rather phoney. I wouldn't recommend them to others in the Clitheroe area - there are several better local options.
Complete lack of honesty and integrity do some research on this company it's not good Reading. before they attempt to say I am not telling the truth just remember you upset my wife so much you sent her a bouquet of flowers. Nothing got better in fact a lot worse so you eventually apologize and reduced your selling fees to encourage me not to escalate the complaints.
I have run a successful property service for 30 years and sold many properties this is an example of bad practice
The only person they work for is themselves the only thing they can see is the commission minimum service maximum cost. If you choose to use them be prepared to do a lot of things for yourself that you are paying them to do.
