Review summary
JS Law is exceptionally well-rated by customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about communication and expensive.
JS Law handled my sale and purchase.
I would like to give a 5 star review for Khusbu Vhikabai.
Throughout my experience with JS Law, Khusbu has been professional, supportive and understanding, answering my questions and keeping us informed all up date.
Thank you so much JS Law.
Good service, excellent communication and an efficient stress free experience
Use at your own risk. Offered little help in terms of protecting my interests with my property purchase, and never responded to me when questions arose after the completion. I would report them to the law ombudsman if I thought I would get any resolution.
I would like to give a 5 star review for Loni Timson.
Throughout my experience with JS Law, Loni has been professional, supportive and understanding answering all questions and queries and keeping us informed and up to date.
I canβt thank you enough Loni! πππππ
Terrible firm. Incompetent, rude and arrogant. Please avoid this law firm at all costs. No axe to grind here at all and I will be making a complaint to the law society.
I cannot stress enough how awful the βserviceβ this firm provides truly is. The conyenancer (I have been asked to remove his name by the firm) is incapable of answering the phone or responding to clients emails, never mind actually doing his job as a conveyancer. He sat on documents for over 4 weeks that shouldβve been sent to the buyers solicitors, zero updates and zero professionalism. He argued with my partner (a registered electrician) that we needed to have another electrical certificate issued, even though our property is only 3 years old and the certificate last 10 years. I get the impression no one in this company actually knows what theyβre doing, and they certainly do not care for their clients. I have ended up having to deal directly with my buyersβ solicitors as I cannot trust my own solicitor to liaise with them himself. This is only a very brief description of the horrendous experience JS Law has provided.
His lack of communication and quite frankly sheer laziness has now caused us financial distress. No help from JSLAW themselves as they cannot intervene. All I can say is if you value your mental health DO NOT use this firm. I will now be taking the matter to the legal ombudsman.
Although the conveyancing process was lengthy (due to third parties), my agent Lauryn was absolutely brilliant from start to finish (18mths). She was informative, efficient and supportive.
Everything that she could do at the time was never too much trouble. As a company I cannot fault them. In fact I sent my personal gratitude now I have finally moved into my new property.
Communication from my conveyancer has been and still is appalling.
Emails ignored, phone calls unanswered, sending documents to the wrong person, although advised to removed this person from the email list, causing further delay, saying they have sent out documents, and my purchasers solicitor saying they haven't received anything. And generally sounding completely uninterested. I have raised a formal complaint, and asked for managers details, within line of the complaints procedure, as it's an ongoing case. I was given his email address, only to receive an out of office reponse saying thea manager is off on long term leave. Surely my conveyancer knew his manager was off? And when I asked for his managers phone number, they don't have one, in 2025, a manager doesn't have a contact number? We are paying thousands of pounds for service, that quite frankly isn't being delivered. It's really a shame, reading other reviews that weren't given a different conveyancer, as it seems we could of had a better experience if we were given someone else.
Process was going well and good lines of communication until last week. Advised the delays were due to my buyer and their team however it turns out today it is down to my conveyancer for my sale. We have now missed the stamp duty deadline and had both said how we didnβt want any failing to be due to myself / my conveyancer but now it is.
Timeline below:
Monday 24th - advised a response would be sent for outstanding enquiries to satisfy my buyers team
Tuesday 25th - no updates despite being tagged in emails
Wednesday 26th - no updates despite being tagged in emails
Thursday 27th - update received from buyers solicitor advising still awaiting response to satisfy enquiries - relating to management pack and ground rent. Called 7 times, left 2 VMs and 1 email advising my conveyancer to please resolve asap - approach the freeholder and get my buyers team the info they need - no replies
We had created what I thought was a positive working relationship but it seems the wool has been pulled over my eyes and I have been fobbed off and told misinformation by my conveyancer who I trusted.
Still not updated forthcoming and now I feel like Iβm letting the whole chain down who are ready to move. The lack of communication is farcical - even a one sentence email would be appreciated but complete radio silence!
The communication from Irfaan has been prompt, clear, and helpful. Our sale has not been without challenges but Irfaan has been an excellent support throughout the process. I would highly recommend Irfaan and his team,
I had an outstanding experience with JS Law while selling my house, thanks to Laurynβs exceptional service. From start to finish, she was professional, efficient, and incredibly supportive. She kept me informed at every stage, handled all the paperwork seamlessly, and ensured a smooth and speedy process. Selling a house can be stressful, but Lauryn made it feel effortless with her expertise and attention to detail. I highly recommend her and the team at JS Law to anyone in need of a reliable and proactive conveyancing solicitor. Thank you, Lauryn, for making this such a hassle-free experience!
We have recently bought our first home and used JS Law as they were recommended through our mortgage advisor. Our solicitor Zoe was fantastic! Throughout out the whole process she was so helpful, easy to contact, always on time with documents and supported us throughout the whole process with our many questions. Would recommend her to anyone buying a home.
Thank you so much!! :)
