Our tour was amazing. Houssin our guide was inspiring, passionate about his country and friendly, sensitive to the different personalities in the group. He was approachable and helped with all inquiries, no matter how small. Houssin also facilitated our dinners and different requirements. He developed a real rapport with our group. Local guides were articulate and informative.
We had a great tour with 'Seen' our Tour Leader who made everyone feel so welcome. 'Seen' continued this throughout our Trip giving us so much information on all destinations and looking after our welfare. Additionally all the Support Team worked hard to keep us safe, well feed and hydrated always with a smile.
So many wonderful memories, good laughs with other Team bike members and new friendships forged.

Having never been to Turkey previously and as a first time user of Intrepid, we had an amazing tour. We did the Turkey Encompassed tour which was led by Mali who was so knowledgable, a great tour leader and gave us a fantastic insight into the country. Being in a small group was great and so many highlights, would recommend this tour and Intrepid.
Forever lost a customer before even going on the trip!
I had booked my first trip ever with Intrepid Travel to Morocco leaving in September. Needless to say, I will not be travelling with them in the future after the way their customer service has "handled" cancelled bookings. The original booking conditions (that also remained in place at the time I had paid in full) state that if a trip is cancelled by Intrepid Travel, the customer has an option to receive a FULL refund. I have been sending emails, chatting on their website, and filling out their feedback forms for THREE weeks now and have gotten NOWHERE. All I receive is cut/paste replies, instructions to email such and such email, instructions to fill out such and such form and "to be patient as they handle high volumes of calls and emails". In one email, they even told me that most customers are happy with the 110% voucher that has been auto applied to everyone's bookings, and that I have two years to use it! Well guess what? COVID-19 is resulting in me losing my job. Does a trip to Morocco or anywhere else sound like something a jobless person is going to do? I would MUCH rather have MY money back! I cannot believe Intrepid Travel is handling things like this, and I will never be booking with them again.
Disgusting treatment to your customers during a pandemic
For a company that prides itself on morals and ethics, I cannot believe the way you are treating your customers. Flight Centre have had correspondence with you in regards to my group booking (REF 6121897), and you have said a refund will be given minus 15% off each of us which equates to $701.70…. what an absolute disgrace. You are stealing from your customers. We will not accept this offer as when we paid and booked for this tour in your Terms and Conditions it stated, if you cancel on us we are entitled to a FULL refund, not a PARTIAL refund. The ACCC has also stated on their website "if you were previously told by a business that you would receive a refund for your cancelled travel, the business is not permitted to later deny you the promised refund”.
It would have been our first Intrepid Tour, and we are so disappointed by the way this company has conducted itself during this pandemic by taking advantage of their customers and holding our money illegally.
DO NOT Trust Them - Not Providing a Refund as Originally Promised
I booked a tour of Morocco that was canceled due to COVID-19. What bothers me isn't that the tour was canceled, but that Intrepid Travel refuses to honor their booking policy and provide me with a full refund. It's now been a full month of back and forth and no progress has been made.
They insist on providing a credit instead and that their customers are happy with it. Yet when you contact their support team, they say that they're overwhelmed with requests. Clearly, their customers are angry and want their money back.
In addition, I've already filled out the form that they recommend for escalations. But no one has gotten ever gotten back to me. This a totally unethical and unprofessional company. AVOID AT ALL COST!
And the fact that they're giving credit for two years when it'll be impossible to travel safely internationally for the next two years is just ridiculous. This is an absolutely delusional proposition since every public health expert is predicting that there will be multiple waves of COVID-19 for the next two years. There's no way international travel will be safe. This is a totally messed up company that is putting profits ahead of the well being of their customers.
Like many others I have been dudded by this firm. One Indonesian tour was cancelled during the tour and another I had booked was cancelled before its start date. I also had to cancel two Garuda flight bookings at the Denpasar airport on 17 March during my booking of an earlier flight to get me home to Australia on the following day. Garuda advised me they would refund for the unused flights but to Intrepid, not directly to me, because they were booked through Intrepid. Even though I have supplied Intrepid with copies of all the necessary documentation there has been no attempt at reimbursing me for the flights or for the unprovided travel.
I just sent another complaint to Intrepid Travel and got their standardised automatic response telling me how busy they are. Busy doing what, given that they are not offering any tours with a start date of before the end of September 2020?
If any of you, like me, are members of CHOICE, can I suggest that we nominate Intrepid Travel for this year's Shonky Award?
After I posted this Trustpilot review I received a comment from Intrepid Travel: "Hi Rob, we want to thank you for the patience you’ve shown us while we have worked through some of the challenges this pandemic has presented for us. The vast majority of our customers have been happy to receive a 110% travel credit, however, we understand that a credit for future travel may not be suitable for some of our customers. If a credit doesn’t suit your personal situation please complete our feedback form... [link omitted by myself]. We will endeavour to respond to all requests as soon as possible, however, due to the current impact of global restrictions our customer service and sales teams are working from home and this has therefore impacted our response times. Please note that we are working through requests in order of the date they were received and you can expect to receive a response within 2 weeks." The URL of the form is incorrect (wwww!), and in any case I have already e-mailed all my concerns with Intrepid Travel to Intrepid Travel. Why are they asking me to fill out a form which would only duplicate information Intrepid Travel already has? I'd point out that I was initially advised by Intrepid on 13 March there would be a 150% credit, but then the amount suddenly dropped to 110%. I never asked for credit of any kind. I just want my refund. May I advise all those who are as unhappy as I am with Intrepid Travel's violations of consumer law that Slater & Gordon is now taking enquiries regarding a class action? I have put a case to Intrepid for a refund based on Financial problems and stress and a request for compassion.
It appears they will consider a refund — BUT WANT TO TAKE 30% off FOR UNDEDUCTED EXPENSES! What baloney! So I have advised them I am not accepting this so called refund until I get a detailed list of the ‘undeducted expenses’. I am awaiting a reply. This is a scam!
This should go to a CLASS ACTION. If anyone interested, please advise and we can set up a FB page as has been stated against the practices of Flight Center.
As others have said on here Intrepid has changed the Terms and Conditions on the fly and will refuse to give you a refund. Customer service will give you cut and paste replies with mixed messages, showing you don't even matter. I have gone to my credit card company to try and get my money back. I suggest others do the same because it looks like this is the only way forward. I will never book with Intrepid again even if it does survive the economic meltdown. Intrepid's reputation now lies in tatters.
Beware Intrepid alter their T&C's at will to refuse you your rights.
No one should be trusting Intrepid.
When you book don't bother reading the terms and conditions because they will change them anyway when they wish.
They are illegally applying new terms and conditions to old bookings and refusing refunds to people who are eligible for them. Considering their illegal practices you would have to be naive to believe that Intrepid won't change their terms and conditions again in the future to deny consumers what is their contractual right.
If others are happy with a voucher that is completely acceptable but I will not give up in getting my refund and urge others to continue fighting against what has become an unconscionable organisation.
Total scam! I would not be surprised if they are eventually sued for this situation. Intrepid changed their terms and conditions regarding cancellation policy just so they can keep their profits. Even though at the time of booking and up until 13 Mar they have initially agreed that a refund is possible, now they have changed conditions to only offering credits. When a service isn’t provided consumers are entitled to a refund as per their original terms but because of covid 19 they decided for their own benefit to keep everyone’s money and offer credits instead. This is what a dishonest corporate company looks like so I advise everyone to avoid and go with other more sophisticated establishments.

Horrible company! I was promised a refund of USD168 before the coronavirus caused the locked down in many countries. And I’ve waited for eight weeks since 2/25 and sent many emails but heard nothing from them. Can I can this a scam? Yes, because they didn’t do whatever they promised me.

Intrepid is using the Covit 19 pandemic as an excuse to keep my money having changed " the terms and conditions" of my contract. I want to cancel my trip and get the refund due. I do not want a credit.
This trip is still being sold as a guaranteed departure.
