Our tour was amazing. Houssin our guide was inspiring, passionate about his country and friendly, sensitive to the different personalities in the group. He was approachable and helped with all inquiries, no matter how small. Houssin also facilitated our dinners and different requirements. He developed a real rapport with our group. Local guides were articulate and informative.
We had a great tour with 'Seen' our Tour Leader who made everyone feel so welcome. 'Seen' continued this throughout our Trip giving us so much information on all destinations and looking after our welfare. Additionally all the Support Team worked hard to keep us safe, well feed and hydrated always with a smile.
So many wonderful memories, good laughs with other Team bike members and new friendships forged.

Having never been to Turkey previously and as a first time user of Intrepid, we had an amazing tour. We did the Turkey Encompassed tour which was led by Mali who was so knowledgable, a great tour leader and gave us a fantastic insight into the country. Being in a small group was great and so many highlights, would recommend this tour and Intrepid.
Like other Customer's here. Intrepid cancelled my trip and gave me a 50% credit. I requested a refund and they did not acknowledge my request for weeks. They have let all their tour guides go and not helping them in anyway yet they have kept Customer money. Run, don't walk away from ever booking with this company.
If we were to cancel the trip on our own accord, they keep 100% of our money, when they cancel, they think they get to keep 100% of the money.
Intrepid is trying to improve their brand responding to comments so I am updating. They have changed their billing terms multiple times and were slapped on the wrist by consumer watchdog groups after they retroactively backdated Booking terms. They were informed their practice is a breach of contract. I still say run, don’t walk away from this company. They cannot be trusted. They also edit social media by removing negative comments and blocking people.
Update on 5th May Intrepid sent me a response asking that I contact them via their ‘your experience’ feedback form. This must be a joke because I have already tried that! Since 15th March we have made several calls trying to get a refund. Then we were advised to email them on the feedback form. We did on 28th March then received a response on 17th April. When our request for a refund was ignored again and we were encouraged to accept the credit. On 18th April I responded asking them to confirm if they were refusing the refund request. I haven’t heard back yet. All I see is more delay tactics from Intrepid. My opinion hasn’t changed.
On 18th April I said - I’m yet another disgusted customer who has experienced a dreadful service from Intrepid travel. As all the previous reviewers have outlined Intrepid changed their T&Cs when they cancelled my trip. They are pushing a credit note I don’t want and avoid and ignore my refund requests.
I will never use this company again
DO NOT BOOK WITH INTREPID TRAVEL.
A company that is acting illegally and will not offer their customers refunds for trips that Intrepid itself has cancelled. They are doing this so that if they become bankrupt, they never have to pay us. Their customer service is terrible and just spitting out prewritten responses. I encourage you to complain to your local government body about their illegal activity in not following their own t&cs. I think this will affect Intrepid for a long time.
I have had terrible service, even before my trip started I was given incorrect departure date on my itinerary, they agreed to pay additional train fare then refused to pay on my return.
During trip coronavirus hit the fan and instead of any duty of care, communication dropped off and they refused to either cancel and refund or rebook any flights to get me home. Also told me they had contacted British consulate on my behalf, when I asked for details turned out they had done no such thing or even attempted to.
They have so far refused to refund any funds for cancelled flights and add on exclusions, hotels, transfers, hotels etc and also not been forthcoming with additional details and costs required on itinerary so I cannot even make a claim on my insurance. They have already put me through significant stress and hardship, not to mention financial hardship and will put me in further debt due to not providing information in order for me to make insurance claim to recoup some of my expenses.
I would never use this company again, and highly recommend you use another company or arrange it yourself, avoid at all costs.
