Clean and tidy store

I visited the ashington branch. The store was airy and clean . After I selected my goods off I went to the checkout. There were a couple of ladies in front of me and they were greeted with a hello by the checkout lady called jenna. .she was friendly and polite to them and even said thank you. Then it came to my turn what a jekyll and Hyde. I got no greeting I was giving no eye contact I got no please or thank you she was only interested in getting another member of staff on the tills so was talking to her colleague while zapping my products? 2 star service and that's being generous

Home Bargains in Albany Road, Cardiff

I visit Home Bargains earlier this afternoon in Albany Road Cardiff, 1 of your staff name Luke ( he maybe a supervisor ) wearing red shirt walked in front of me when me and my son was looking at the shelf to see what drinks to buy, what he could have done is walked behind us and he did not even say 'sorry' or 'excuse me' for doing that, I found that is kind of 'rude' attitude towards customers. You know I work in retail myself so that kind of behaviour is not acceptable.

Issue with my recent order

Issue with my recent order, response from Home Bargains does not address the issue, and only just acknowledges it, see details below. This shows me they have a lack of customer service skills. My email to Home Bargains following issues with my order. I have two issues with regards to my latest order. First issue, I ordered 6 x Glade Sense & Spray Air Freshener Twin Refill 2x18ml - Frosted Floral Cherries, what I received was Glade Sense & Spray Air Freshener Twin Refill 2x18ml - Floral Cherries, yes, they are both floral cherries, however, they are a different fragrance. Frosted Floral Cherries fragrance is frosted cherries & blossom, with the woody notes of a winter wonderland forest. Floral Cherries fragrance has notes of cherry blossoms and sweet cherries. It’s not a massive difference, but noticeable. Second issue, my sweet products were placed directly on top of my fragrance product, which has never happened before, as the food products are usually placed in a sealed bag to prevent cross-contamination. This is basic food hygiene, not to place fragranced products directly with food stuff. The packers wouldn’t do that if they were shopping in a store for themselves, so this shouldn’t be done with products being sold to a customer. The packaging of the sweet products all smells strongly of the fragrance from the Bloo rim blocks. The sweet products are the Uncle Joe's Mint Balls 75g x2, Swizzels Drumstick Squashies 140g - Cherry Cola, Munchies Caramel & Biscuit Chocolate 87g. This has been my first bad experience with orders from Home Bargains, and hopefully will be my last. This is their reply. Thank you for your email. I am sorry to read of the problem you have experienced with your order. There are 2 different types of Evri return label we offer. Please see below. • To your local parcel store, a QR code and a return label will be sent to you via email. This can be scanned by the shop. • Collection from your delivery address, a return label will be sent to you and will need to be printed off and placed on the parcel ready for collection. If you would like the collection, please let us know what day is best to arrange this for? Please list all items from your order you are returning * Without this information we would be unable to arrange a collection.

Take customers money and fine them at the same time

Since semi retiring we have used Homebargains in South Shields a lot more to try and save a little money on shopping. Two weeks ago we spent almost £100 on food, garden items, and other bits and pieces. A week after our trip to Homebargains we received a £100 parking eye fine because we spent 10 minutes over the specified 90 minute parking limit. Although technically I should have seen the 90 minute signs displayed but the fact that Homebargains can stand by and watch there customers be fine £100 after spending a fortune in there shop is disgusting.

Fantastic customer service

I’ve just been in the Maltby store in Rotherham and witnessed fantastic customer service from a young lady named Claire who was on the checkout. She was serving an elderly woman in front of me who seemed to be quite confused and was slowly lifting items out of her trolley. Claire asked if she would like help. The woman declined but said she had lost her friend. Claire called for the friend over the tannoy. The woman apologised for taking so long but Claire reassured her that it didn’t matter. After the woman had gone, I praised Claire on her attitude and helpfulness. She said she just treated people how she would like to be treated. Well said and well done! I hope the store appreciate what a good employee they have there.

Home bargains Durham

I need to write this review to say what an absolute pleasure your gardener guy is. This guy knows everything about plants and gardening. So pleasant I asked for a garden trolley today without hesitation he went straight away for one. He is an absolute asset to your store.

Refused to refund under my statutory rights

Bought weed killer - it didn’t work - asked for a refund and they said no - I contacted customer service at HQ and they said they would “investigate but not tell me the outcome” this was my response to “ why didn’t you honour my statutory rights - they didn’t bother - worst con artists - and most plants never grow - a scam is when you buy something that is poor quality - they had an opportunity both at the store and HQ to put it right - waste of time shopping there - hence their 2.8 rating - find somewhere else to shop

Crosshands Store Staff Manager Layla

Saturday, 10th May. Time, around Five - Half Five. I went to The Crosshands Store, got a small trolley and had A Home Bargains Carrier Bag. I asked a member of Staff for a Purchase I usually make, which was Chesters, Quantity: 24 Dog Food Tins. Which I couldn't find, it looked like it was sold out. I asked a member of Staff for help in finding the Product. The member of staff in particular asked myself: Have You Got Anything To Go Through The Till. As good as accusing me of Shop Lifting. I emptied my Carrier Bag on the Check Out Belt. As Proof. I Demanded A Manager, She Replied: I Am A Manager. I said I would be Reporting Her To Head Office. Another member of female staff was there as witness, ie heard most of the conversation. I then left the store, but later went back in and asked for her name, another member of staff said her name was Layla and wrote it down for me, he asked, can he do anything for me, and he said he would have a word with her. I am appalled and disgusted to be treated in this manner. You only have to look at the CCTV, and this will prove I never picked anything up. Also it was myself who asked her for help in the purchase I wished to make. I await your comments on this matter as a matter of urgency, before I take the matter to the consumers for further advice. As I have been a customer at that particular store, since it opened in Crosshands and spends A significant amount of Money There.

So ordered 4 solar lights from home…

So ordered 4 solar lights from home bargains for home delivery, placed to charge in sun, sadly 2 out of the 4 don't work, home bargains informed me I should take to a store for a exchange, I pointed out I am housebound and rely on online shopping so am unable to do this, I could also pay 3pounds for a return label, take the parcel to where it will be picked up, firstly housebound (hello) secondly goods not fit for purpose, thirdly why do you have to pay to return faulty goods, last shop with this company, by the way never responded to my email when told of my situation, class!

Discusted

Hi while shopping today in your store a lady asked over the tannoy if we would have two minutes silence. Lovely idea and all the customers stood for the two minutes willingly BUT the loud music still played over the speakers and an advertisement. To our discust the shop worker continued to fill the shelves and move her trolley around. This just showed us disrespect and quite honestly spoilt the whole 2 minutes. E Craig
