Bought some festoon lights for outside, they were installed correctly, however they only lasted 3 weeks.

Clean and tidy store

I visited the ashington branch. The store was airy and clean . After I selected my goods off I went to the checkout. There were a couple of ladies in front of me and they were greeted with a hello by the checkout lady called jenna. .she was friendly and polite to them and even said thank you. Then it came to my turn what a jekyll and Hyde. I got no greeting I was giving no eye contact I got no please or thank you she was only interested in getting another member of staff on the tills so was talking to her colleague while zapping my products? 2 star service and that's being generous

Home Bargains in Albany Road, Cardiff

I visit Home Bargains earlier this afternoon in Albany Road Cardiff, 1 of your staff name Luke ( he maybe a supervisor ) wearing red shirt walked in front of me when me and my son was looking at the shelf to see what drinks to buy, what he could have done is walked behind us and he did not even say 'sorry' or 'excuse me' for doing that, I found that is kind of 'rude' attitude towards customers. You know I work in retail myself so that kind of behaviour is not acceptable.

Frozen Basa birds eye fish fingers have…

Frozen Basa birds eye fish fingers have a funky taste. £2.49 a box. Purchased i Banbury store. Had to throw most of them away they tasted like mould you get on bread kind of soapy taste. Googled basa it’s a type of farmed catfish! Shame the coating was really nice crispy

Is this retail company legit

Well what can I say about this retail company first of all I had been doing online orders with this company for a few years now and had no problems with them. But my experience now is I won't be buying of this company again as it has made me think weather this retail company is legit. When I got in contact with this retail company by Email to their customer service. I got a reply to say they would look into the two parcels that had not be delivered. How ever customer service got back to me saying my parcel had be lost in transit and they would refund this. But no mention of my other second parcel. So I had to get in contact with them again to Lo behold this one was apparently delivered and they gave me some written time and date with some Google maps picture to say this is where it had been delivered. I was shocked as this was no real receipt from the delivery company Evri where my delivery was coming from. It was a random picture of four houses in it, god knows where this place was taken, but it was not my house. In the end I told customer service to get this sorted out as they left me with choice but to go and get legal advice about this and I even had to send them pictures of my house and plaque which had my door number and road on it where I live as proof and said I will be contacting Evri the delivery company myself to see what is going on with my parcels. When I did contact the Evri the delivery company it turns out my two parcels were still stuck in transit and they were being escalated for these parcels to move. The very next day I received both of these parcels. And as for the refund I never received it. But for the the trouble they caused it should have been done out of courtesy.

Online order

I seem to have made a mistake when entering my email address and consequently failed to get a confirmation of the order. However, once I communicated this to the company, they rang me saying they had traced the order and all was well. Good customer service.

New Home Bargains in Norwich Cathedral…

New Home Bargains in Norwich Cathedral City Retail Park. Great new store. Very good cafe. I was impressed. Definitely cheap and good for a refuel in Norwich on a shopping trip.

No gluten free options in cafes Loads of vegan and vegetarian options but nothing for coeliacs. Most cafes have at least pre packed snacks ,so no excuse really .

Poor staff training & more stress than its worth.

Amy the supervisor at longton home bargains is unprofessional, unwelcoming, discriminative and all round disrespectful. If you don’t agree with her maths she swears, talks down to you and belittles you. I am still shocked with the language she used over explaining the wrong amount was issued. Always check your receipts before leaving, its becoming a recurring theme of overcharging and refunding you incorrectly and not how you paid. The money laundering policies mustn’t apply here.

Well I can honestly say I have never…

Well I can honestly say I have never been so disappointed with a Home Bargains store. I visited the new Faversham store and was firstly shocked to see two members of staff in coats! The store was absolutely freezing and I felt extremely uncomfortable as I walked around. The shelf’s were still full of Christmas stock, not even reduced in a sale. I really was too cold to be bothered to shop in all honesty. There was only two tills operating and instead of the usual £30+ I’d normally spend ( I usually either shop in Dover or Folkestone which are both very well stocked and manned stores) I went to the till with 5 items and proceeded to place the items from my basket on the belt. The very sullen till operator says in a non friendly manner “ push it down” indicating with his hand the I should push my shopping further down the belt! I honestly felt like leaving it there and walking out but I’d been sent to the store to buy something that was needed! If people don’t want to work in retail maybe they should find other employment, there are a lot of people being turned down for jobs, why deprive others by taking jobs you clearly don’t want??

Don't expect good service

I usually like home bargains for their low prices but my last visit was a letdown. The shelves were half-empty and it felt like no one was around to restock or help. The queue at the till was ridiculous with only one person serving during a busy time.
