Useless

Bought some festoon lights for outside, they were installed correctly, however they only lasted 3 weeks.

Clean and tidy store

I visited the ashington branch. The store was airy and clean . After I selected my goods off I went to the checkout. There were a couple of ladies in front of me and they were greeted with a hello by the checkout lady called jenna. .she was friendly and polite to them and even said thank you. Then it came to my turn what a jekyll and Hyde. I got no greeting I was giving no eye contact I got no please or thank you she was only interested in getting another member of staff on the tills so was talking to her colleague while zapping my products? 2 star service and that's being generous

Home Bargains in Albany Road, Cardiff

I visit Home Bargains earlier this afternoon in Albany Road Cardiff, 1 of your staff name Luke ( he maybe a supervisor ) wearing red shirt walked in front of me when me and my son was looking at the shelf to see what drinks to buy, what he could have done is walked behind us and he did not even say 'sorry' or 'excuse me' for doing that, I found that is kind of 'rude' attitude towards customers. You know I work in retail myself so that kind of behaviour is not acceptable.

Aggressive rude staff at the Bingley…

Aggressive rude staff at the Bingley branch in Bradford. Sent a complaint in however they cannot be bothered to respond to any complaints and simply ignore. A BTEC course is required in staff training at this branch.

Allegations of Labor Law Violations at Home Bargains, Oldham

I am writing to raise awareness about troubling practices at the Home Bargains store in Oldham under the management of a new manager named Anita. Multiple employees have reported instances that suggest significant breaches of UK labour laws and a hostile work environment. Reported Incidents: Denial of Bereavement Leave: An employee who had pre-arranged time off for his father's funeral was scheduled to work on that day. Upon reminding the manager, he was told to prioritize work over attending the funeral, under threat of job loss. Unreasonable Commuting Demands: A university student, due to unforeseen motorway closures, informed the manager of her inability to reach the store on time. She was instructed to find alternative transportation and arrive within an hour and a half, regardless of the circumstances, again under threat of termination. Contractual Hour Violations: Several university students had previously adjusted their working hours from 20 to 8 per week due to academic commitments, with verbal agreements from the former manager. The new manager disregarded these agreements, enforcing the original 20-hour contracts without consideration of the employees' situations. Forced Overtime and Unavailability: Employees have been compelled to work beyond their contracted hours and on days they had specified as unavailable due to personal or academic reasons. Disregard for Physical Limitations: Employees with physical limitations have been forced to perform tasks involving heavy lifting, despite their inability to do so safely. Threats Against Reporting: The manager has allegedly warned employees that approaching HR would result in immediate dismissal and has implied preferential treatment for those who remain silent. Potential Legal Breaches: Employment Rights Act 1996: Failure to honor agreed-upon contractual terms and unreasonable denial of time off for dependents. Equality Act 2010: Potential disability discrimination by forcing employees with physical limitations to perform unsuitable tasks. Health and Safety at Work Act 1974: Neglecting the duty of care by compelling employees to undertake tasks that may pose health risks. Protection from Harassment Act 1997: Creating a hostile work environment through threats and intimidation. These actions not only violate UK labour laws but also reflect a profound lack of empathy and respect for employees. I urge potential employees and customers to consider this information when engaging with this store.

Home Bargains High Wycombe

On my recent visit I was hoping to get the tulip door wreath but couldn't find it in store. One of the Members of staff took my details and said if they come in they'll phone me to let me know to save me keep driving down . It's only a 10 minute drive but I appreciated that. Well today was the day when I got a phonecall from the store saying they had the wreath I wanted and they've put 1 aside for me, I'm so pleased, not only that they asked if there was anything else I was looking for that they could get for me. Now thats customer service , well done high wycombe home bargains, it's always a pleasure

Says it all by no responses from this company on Trustpilot. Appalling delivery by Evri followed by digusting customer service

I had a text on 30/10/24 from Evri stating my parcel was outside. I live in a gated area, when you go through the gate there is a car park between the main communal door to my flat, up 2 flights of stairs through my private porch entrance, then my flat door is in front of you. I duly text the delivery company back stating I wasn't there and to leave it outside my front door, giving them the codes to enter through all levels. When I returned no parcel anywhere. Looked at the photo from Evri and the company had left my parcel outside the main gate on a public pavement, with my personal identifiable information showing i.e. name and address for all the public to see. Contacted Home Bargains, sent them my "conversation" via text between the delivery driver and me and number of delivery driver, photos of where my property was located in relation to where the parcel was left to customer services, and they sent me a form to fill in and sign which included I should contact my neighbours, I am a single woman that lives in Greater London, so they expected me to go around strangers homes to see if anyone had it? That if parcel arrived I should contact them etc. I did sign the form at my time which I should have charged them the living hourly rate in London, as had to print scan and email back. Eventually they gave me a refund of £29.70 stating they were not to send a replacement, no apology. I felt I had absolutely no customer satisfaction from this experience. I didn't ask anyone to put my parcel within 25 meters of my post code, that's why I put my address, because I expected the parcel to be delivered to my front door. If I was ill or disabled and unable at that point of time to walk down 2 flights of stairs I couldn't. If I had experienced any kind of instance where it would breach my security e.g. domestic violence my name and address were on public display. 12th January 2025, I got home and there was a package outside my front door, brought it in and label had Evri on the front of it and date of 30/10/2024, opened it and all the items that I ordered from Home Bargains were inside. I duly got in touch with Home Bargains and they asked me to give a convenient time so it can be picked up. I suggested I leave it where Evri dropped it, outside the front gate on the public pavement where it was originally dropped and they can see where that was by the photo from the delivery company, Evri, I really do not have the time and certainly not the inclination following the appalling service I have had from this company to put myself out, so they can pick up a parcel that should have been put outside my front door in the first place. Numerous emails I have had to sent, not sure if some of the contacts are A.I. or people that don't understand English? Does Mr Paul Rowland and Mr Tom Morris, directors of T.J. Morris LTD. registered on the government company information website know what's going on? If your delivery company cannot deliver to people's actual address, let them know, or find a delivery company that can. Other delivery companies do not have a problem delivering, including grocery deliveries that walk up 2 flights of stairs with heavy items to my actual address with no complaints, what is the problem with Evri where they think it's perfectly acceptable to leave personal identifiable information of people on public display in public areas, with a risk of theft and additionally no thought for the purchaser who may not be able to save Evri's time to go to a communal area to pick up your purchase, where you have paid for delivery cost, you may not be physically able to do so due to illness, disability etc.

My daughter just had two living room…

My daughter just had two living room lamps delivered to our house, they have come in boxes with TJ Morriss on the sides, this is the guy that owns Home Bargains Both are broken cheap crap, she has been on the website, she cannot take the lamps back to the local store and she will be charged for sending them back via deducting the postage from the cost of the lamps when they arrive back at the warehouse. She also had to pay seperate postage for each lamp as well for them to send them. I have told her to tell them to arrange collection themselves, get a refund for her original postage and if they will not do that in 30 days open a charge back with the bank, these companies think customers do not have rights and will walk all over you.
