Says it all by no responses from this company on Trustpilot. Appalling delivery by Evri followed by digusting customer service
I had a text on 30/10/24 from Evri stating my parcel was outside. I live in a gated area, when you go through the gate there is a car park between the main communal door to my flat, up 2 flights of stairs through my private porch entrance, then my flat door is in front of you. I duly text the delivery company back stating I wasn't there and to leave it outside my front door, giving them the codes to enter through all levels. When I returned no parcel anywhere. Looked at the photo from Evri and the company had left my parcel outside the main gate on a public pavement, with my personal identifiable information showing i.e. name and address for all the public to see. Contacted Home Bargains, sent them my "conversation" via text between the delivery driver and me and number of delivery driver, photos of where my property was located in relation to where the parcel was left to customer services, and they sent me a form to fill in and sign which included I should contact my neighbours, I am a single woman that lives in Greater London, so they expected me to go around strangers homes to see if anyone had it? That if parcel arrived I should contact them etc. I did sign the form at my time which I should have charged them the living hourly rate in London, as had to print scan and email back. Eventually they gave me a refund of £29.70 stating they were not to send a replacement, no apology. I felt I had absolutely no customer satisfaction from this experience. I didn't ask anyone to put my parcel within 25 meters of my post code, that's why I put my address, because I expected the parcel to be delivered to my front door. If I was ill or disabled and unable at that point of time to walk down 2 flights of stairs I couldn't. If I had experienced any kind of instance where it would breach my security e.g. domestic violence my name and address were on public display. 12th January 2025, I got home and there was a package outside my front door, brought it in and label had Evri on the front of it and date of 30/10/2024, opened it and all the items that I ordered from Home Bargains were inside. I duly got in touch with Home Bargains and they asked me to give a convenient time so it can be picked up. I suggested I leave it where Evri dropped it, outside the front gate on the public pavement where it was originally dropped and they can see where that was by the photo from the delivery company, Evri, I really do not have the time and certainly not the inclination following the appalling service I have had from this company to put myself out, so they can pick up a parcel that should have been put outside my front door in the first place. Numerous emails I have had to sent, not sure if some of the contacts are A.I. or people that don't understand English? Does Mr Paul Rowland and Mr Tom Morris, directors of T.J. Morris LTD. registered on the government company information website know what's going on? If your delivery company cannot deliver to people's actual address, let them know, or find a delivery company that can. Other delivery companies do not have a problem delivering, including grocery deliveries that walk up 2 flights of stairs with heavy items to my actual address with no complaints, what is the problem with Evri where they think it's perfectly acceptable to leave personal identifiable information of people on public display in public areas, with a risk of theft and additionally no thought for the purchaser who may not be able to save Evri's time to go to a communal area to pick up your purchase, where you have paid for delivery cost, you may not be physically able to do so due to illness, disability etc.
