Useless
Bought some festoon lights for outside, they were installed correctly, however they only lasted 3 weeks.

I visited the ashington branch. The store was airy and clean . After I selected my goods off I went to the checkout. There were a couple of ladies in front of me and they were greeted with a hello by the checkout lady called jenna. .she was friendly and polite to them and even said thank you. Then it came to my turn what a jekyll and Hyde. I got no greeting I was giving no eye contact I got no please or thank you she was only interested in getting another member of staff on the tills so was talking to her colleague while zapping my products? 2 star service and that's being generous
I visit Home Bargains earlier this afternoon in Albany Road Cardiff, 1 of your staff name Luke ( he maybe a supervisor ) wearing red shirt walked in front of me when me and my son was looking at the shelf to see what drinks to buy, what he could have done is walked behind us and he did not even say 'sorry' or 'excuse me' for doing that, I found that is kind of 'rude' attitude towards customers. You know I work in retail myself so that kind of behaviour is not acceptable.
No school cakes or giant monster munch. Absolutely raging. Not acceptable. This place is terrible.

A big shout out to Ben in Swindon (great western way) for being extra helpful loading my car, when you see something you have to buy it, in this case garden table, six chairs and an umbrella, excellent value for money.

Bought a neck hot water bottle and it had a split from age, the rubber had rotten. It leaked hot water onto my skin causing red sore skin. I returned to armley branch who refunded it and kept it. They told me to report it online. They didn't take any of my details. I complained online and got a reply saying that because it had never happened before they would be taking no further action and gave me advice not to use boiling water ( which I didn't) and to keep the tag! They never contacted me to ask any questions and didn't even take my name. Shockingly poor response. If this happens to you then you know they have been warned and chose to do nothing.

I visit the Cumbernauld branch regularly to shop and visit the cafe. The staff are friendly and very helpful. You can have a laugh with them and I find that brings out the best in people. Treat people with respect and you'll get it back. Well done Cumbernauld you are the best. From a regular breakfast customer 👍

I appreciate it was opening day at the new store in Plympton and there was going to be a lot of teething issues but this review is from the perspective of a visually impaired person. Firstly there were no disabled parking bays as they had been used by people who did not have blue badges, the trolleys were not free and didn't look new as I expected from a new store and the overall layout of the store was very confusing but maybe that's just because I'm visually impaired. As for the staff I only really spoke to one who I suspect was the manager who was quizzing customers as they went through the till but not only did he seem shocked that my friend and I had only bought 10 small items but also did not believe me when I said I was visually impaired. As for the customer toilets I had mixed feelings as the disabled toilet could be used by anyone and did not have a radar key lock on the door so I had to wait quite a while. I did not sample the offerings at the cafe as by the time my friend and I had queued up for our small basket of goods (roughly 20-25 mins) we just wanted to get out of there. Oh this store also has a garden section which was as you'd expect from a garden section although places like Chaplins which is also in Plympton has a much better selection. Overall a mixture of good and not so good with my final musing being that with it's narrow aisles and confusing layout it's probably not the best place for anyone in a wheelchair or someone on the autistic spectrum with social anxiety issues as its a very overwhelming place but then it was opening day as I said at the start.

They sent the wrong item. All I got was an apology and methods to send the item back at my own inconvenience and wait days for the refund to land in my account. I was offered to keep the item with a 50% discount. Why would I pay anything for an item I didn’t order or want?? Bear in mind they charge for postage. Worst customer service I’ve had for a long time. Definitely avoid.
