Useless
Bought some festoon lights for outside, they were installed correctly, however they only lasted 3 weeks.
Home Bargains has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and quality, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.

I visited the ashington branch. The store was airy and clean . After I selected my goods off I went to the checkout. There were a couple of ladies in front of me and they were greeted with a hello by the checkout lady called jenna. .she was friendly and polite to them and even said thank you. Then it came to my turn what a jekyll and Hyde. I got no greeting I was giving no eye contact I got no please or thank you she was only interested in getting another member of staff on the tills so was talking to her colleague while zapping my products? 2 star service and that's being generous
I visit Home Bargains earlier this afternoon in Albany Road Cardiff, 1 of your staff name Luke ( he maybe a supervisor ) wearing red shirt walked in front of me when me and my son was looking at the shelf to see what drinks to buy, what he could have done is walked behind us and he did not even say 'sorry' or 'excuse me' for doing that, I found that is kind of 'rude' attitude towards customers. You know I work in retail myself so that kind of behaviour is not acceptable.
No school cakes or giant monster munch. Absolutely raging. Not acceptable. This place is terrible.

Home bargains you should be ashamed of yourselves. Fiance bought a broccoli from you 2 days ago., there were brown bits on it when he got it home, go to use tonight, it's mouldy and soft. I shall be returning it tomorrow to get a refund, any problems I will be refering you to trading standards.

I commend home bargains on their differently abled policy Could they be letting the blind employees stack the shelves,as when I get to the counter the prices at the till never correspond with the prices on the shelves And yes I know if I point it out you will sell me it at that price but today it was 3 items and it stopped a queue from moving for 15 minutes I I'm imagine money being lost and a lot of customers embarrassed at the till but what do I know

I’ve placed many online orders for Home Bargins never had an issue. My delivery came and was missing items. I did contact through email. Then someone gave me a number to call I called this but unfortunately was told everything goes through email …… I did recieve a reply asking to send photos of what I’d got. But odd as how can you photograph items you haven’t received never the less I sent picture of the box with what I’d received …… I ordered 4 balloon stake lights. Now how can the packer put one balloon light and 3 stakes ? Anyhow I received an email telling me they can’t resend but issued a refund for the 3 missing lights my 4 star is because they do not have a call centre to deal with issues it’s all done via email with such a large company you would think that they would have a customer services line who could deal with you rather than you waiting on reply’s. How’s about folk who haven’t got email addresses ? How do they get on ? I will purchase online again but I hope in future I’ll receive all of my orders

Quite a surprise . . outside, Home Bargains lacks a bit of 'style' and looks like a cheap discount store~ which, of course, it is. The strapline is Top Brands - Bottom Prices, and that seems to be true inside. The store presentation is neat, clean and well organised, and there is plenty of choice of dry foods, fresh vegetables, dairy, housewares, gardenwares, clothes and a lot more. The product ranges appears to be wider than Aldi, Lidl, B&M, Morrissons, Sainsburys and even Tesco, although that is a broad generalisation. Prices seem a bit lower than Aldi/Lidl on many ranges, but there are price differences due to the differences in brands available - there are few or no 'house brands' in the food sections. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable and the store manager (Loughborough) is experienced and enthusiastic about the store and the HB business model, unlike most local managers (if you can find them) at almost all other supermarkets. So far, I am quite impressed. Home Bargains seems 'fresher' and more diverse that B&M, Lidl and Aldi.
