Useless
Bought some festoon lights for outside, they were installed correctly, however they only lasted 3 weeks.
Home Bargains has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and quality, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.

I visited the ashington branch. The store was airy and clean . After I selected my goods off I went to the checkout. There were a couple of ladies in front of me and they were greeted with a hello by the checkout lady called jenna. .she was friendly and polite to them and even said thank you. Then it came to my turn what a jekyll and Hyde. I got no greeting I was giving no eye contact I got no please or thank you she was only interested in getting another member of staff on the tills so was talking to her colleague while zapping my products? 2 star service and that's being generous
I visit Home Bargains earlier this afternoon in Albany Road Cardiff, 1 of your staff name Luke ( he maybe a supervisor ) wearing red shirt walked in front of me when me and my son was looking at the shelf to see what drinks to buy, what he could have done is walked behind us and he did not even say 'sorry' or 'excuse me' for doing that, I found that is kind of 'rude' attitude towards customers. You know I work in retail myself so that kind of behaviour is not acceptable.
No school cakes or giant monster munch. Absolutely raging. Not acceptable. This place is terrible.

They're not always the cheapest with Poundland, B&M and supermarkets sometimes having cheaper prices on certain items. However they're handy stores to have nearby and you never know what bargain you'll find instore. So they're always worth a visit. My only advise is to always check that any reduced items has been tracked as reduced before you leave the shop as they sometimes don't use barcode stickers and the discount needs to be entered manually. I do feel sorry for the staff at my local Home Bargains, as it's in a rough area and shoppers often cause issues for them such as breaking items or being abusive to the staff. From some of the other Home Bargain shops I've visited look to have the same issues. It's crazy that we live in a world where people think it's acceptable to act aggressively to store employees...

Get rid of head intercom At the till, All the staff are doing is chatting away to their colleagues and not even bothering with any communication with the customer, I feel like interrupting their conversation just to get served. Where has customer service gone?

For JANE FLEETWOOD HOME BARGAINS 18/03/2025 Went to home bargains Fleetwood to get 4 x 50 kilo compost. I was worried how I could get them in my car boot as me and the wife have serious heart conditions. There was no need to worry as a member of staff a lady called Jane was so helpful and nothing was to much trouble she loaded the bags on a trolley then into my car boot. I felt so guilty depending on this small petite lady putting the bags in car for me but she made me at ease. So big thanks Jane you are an asset to Home Bargains and a good representative of the great staff in store. Regards, Bill OAPs & Disabled Cleveleys

Visited Inverurie store yesterday to buy some fence paint. They only had 2 tubs and I needed 6. Staff were very helpful and checked stock in warehouse, before advising more would be arriving the next day. They reserved 6 tubs for me. Apart from the great price, the service I received was excellent. Can’t fault them .

New store opened recently, poor management of store , no staff on tills , shelves empty and long time in between restocking products. My recent visit was disappointing so I left shopping at empty till and walked out . Will only use store when desperate
