Do not order from them

I ordered a lsrge strawberry cheesecake for mother's day. They delivered a chocolate cake. My mom does not like chocolate. When I called customer service they basically said too bad our terms and conditions day we can substitute. They should let you before you checkout and at least substitute for same flavor. Better to look up bakery in that area and order from them. I will never recommend them or order again. Also I tried posting review on their site but somehow I am never trusted so never shows

Read the small print. Petty company

I spent $250 on a big basket of food, bouquet of flowers and two balloons for my mother’s 85th birthday and Mother’s Day. One balloon arrived flat and the happy birthday balloon was missing altogether. When I spoke to customer service they said that they replaced “like for like” and sent a chocolate bar as a replacement for the balloon. I complained saying that is not the same, I would not have agreed but they quoted the fine print that they reserved the right to do this. They refused to refund me the $10. This is a petty and insensitive response from this company and I will not use them again. Read the fine print.

wrong products

Don't pay for upgrades there is no guarantee they will get them (read the fine print) I ordered a personalized hamper for my sister as I’m living in Ireland I thought I’d use a local provider HAZELTON’S’s There were many issues with the delivery that resulted in the hamper not being received for over a week with spoilt fruits. The delivery is not guaranteed next day or weekend deliveries. Later I spoke with my sister to see did she enjoy the Cabernet Sauvignon wine that I chose for her as part of the hamper. I was very surprised to be told she had not been sent the red wine I had chosen but an inferior white wine (she doesn’t drink white wine). I could understand if a different red wine was sent. When I contacted Hazelton’s along with a picture of the wine sent I was advised there would be no refund or correction in the order as 5 days have passed since the delivery. If you are buying from them make sure to check with the recipient in detail of what they actually received what you purchased and paid for. Make sure to do this within 5 days or there is no redress. I wanted to send something personal to my sister to let her know I was thinking of her whilst we’re apart for her birthday however the whole experience has been very disappointing from start to finish. I most certainly did not get value for money and would not recommend Hazelton’s for sending products you may pick specifically to recipients likes.

I am very disappointed in a special…

I am very disappointed in a special delivery of a planter to a couple getting married. What was advertised was nothing like received. Ordered a wooden planter box with what I thought were plants, planted. Received a cheap looking dollar store basket and plants in little pots still to be planted. Customer service just saying changes could be substituted and NO REFUNDS! Apparently agreeing to their terms and conditions and expecting at least something comparable is not what happens. Customer service just kept spewing all those rules 3 times. They finally offered me a $1 refund on the planter base. Really???? It wasn’t the cost it was the gift itself that was the issue. Poor, poor service… will never use them again!!!

Worst nightmare ordering a surprise birthday cake and balloon for my son!

I had ordered a surprise birthday cake for my son’s 19th bday (who studies at a Canadian University) from the UK and it turned out to be my worst nightmare!! Since this was his first bday away from home, I wanted it to be special and had coordinated with his friend/roommate to pick up the cake when delivered and surprise him. The cake never arrived and after endless calls/emails to Hazleton’s I was given a run around with endless excuses for four days and told nothing could be done because the courier was third party and Hazeltons couldn't contact them on our behalf. The courier company chosen by Hazeltons (Canpar) had unmanned phone lines and were closed for the weekend which meant nobody could update on tracking information - it was frustrating to deal with Hazeltons who were most unhelpful at this time and they stated nothing could be done until the order was delivered by the courier. They could not understand the fact that the cake would not be suitable for consumption after being in delivery trucks and warehouses for almost 5 days. I had to dispute the charge with my bank and the cake finally was delivered the same day but in a deplorable state so they had no choice but to refund the money paid for the order. It would have been far more professional and courteous if they had simply refunded when the delivery date wasn’t honoured! The cake was delivered in such a bad state that it was almost disrespectful! I would have been extremely embarrassed had this been a gift for someone other than family as this is not the way any gift (let alone a perishable edible item) should be received! The company must review their courier company as inefficient deliveries are enough to tarnish a company’s reputation and this must be addressed and remedied appropriately. I had to rush another cake through Uber eats to save the day for my son’s surprise birthday and I should have opted that choice in the first place. Never again and I will surely leave a review on Google as well so nobody suffers the way we did!!

Appalling

Appalling! Con artists. They had the nerve to send out a gift that was actually cheaper than the one I'd selected. When challenged they said that in the fine print it specifies they are allowed to substitute Surely if they substitute they should refund the customer for the price difference (nearly $20) they said they would only give credit on future orders. They have the audacity to think ! would ever use such a lying unethical company again. I hope people see my review and steer clear of this dodgy outfit.

A horrible scam of a company

A horrible scam of a company. My father made a $170 gift order for me but I did not receive the items mentioned on the website at all: 1. The products were all mostly sub-par from different brands than what was mentioned on their website. 2. A few items were missing and no effort was made to replace them with anything even close. 3. They had mentioned on their website that I would receive these items in pine wood tray. Instead I have received the cheapest woven rope tray. When I wrote to customer service, they hid behind their terms and conditions saying they replace items that are out of stock with items of equal or more value. First, if everything was out of stock including the basket, why list the product? Second, they were 100% all cheap items very different from what was listed. This company is clearly cheating their customers because ofcourse people will not verify their gifts. If I had not received the forward from my father, I wouldnt have checked either. My worst experience with a company and customer service ever. They know they’re scamming people and doing it anyway. These people should be sued and imprisoned.

Don't waste your time

Don't waste your time Wine case delivered was cracked. Substituted a lesser wine when I paid for premium. No customer service. Offered, after email exchanges the difference in the price of the wine...but not the wine case. This was for a 70th birthday present. Very embarrassed with the inferior products. Paid nearly$200.00 for crap. As one reviewer states this could have been bought at the grocery store or maybe the dollar store.

Honest review

Sent a basket worth over $200 to a customer that fell ill and the package bounced around for well over a week only to have my sick customer have to go to the post office to pick it up. The live plant had several flowers fall off and it looks sick as well as the baked goods were smashed in the boxes. The company did nothing to help, simply advised to keep trying the shipping company with whom they hired. It was supposed to be 2 day service and it ended up being 12 days with a live plant and baked goods. I asked about a potential partial refund as they did not deliver the package or possibly a credit and was told the only way they would do this is if the basket was been returned to their warehouse. at my expense. They did not care that the package was bouncing around the province, they did not advise that there may be an issue with the delivery address which was a town...not like a farm or somewhere rural). Completely unprofessional and only cared about "send us a review". Well, here is the honest review. The recipient was supposed to have a nice gift to brighten their day as they go through extremely tough times and this only created them more grief. Enjoy this honest review.

Very disappointed. Description does not match to what you get

Ordered beer gift basket from them as a birthday present. It was delivered a week later. Two cans were damaged by cold. Surprise, surprise we a living in a country where it could be cold enough for beer to freeze. Instead of flight board they put a cutting board, instead of distinct glasses - four double-walled glasses, which I would be ashamed to give my guests. I left a review for that gift basket on their site and "it will be published after reviewing by our administrator". Do you think it will be ever published? :)

Scamming company!

I ordered 2 weeks in advanced and it was delivered too early, left outside in the cold and contents of my order were in poor quality. When I reached out and explained, they said they don't do refunds, this is was their response. No responsibility taken on the service they are providing. I paid for it to be delivered on time on a specific date and they did not respect that. They are scamming customers and giving a bad name to the gifting industry as their response was: Substitutions are actually quite common within the gifting and gift basket industry. Misleading the customer to make add ons to the hamper and then not letting them know if the items will not be included and are charging the money for those add ons and not delivering it. don't purchase with this company, you won't get what is shown on the website!!

I ran into technical problems on their…

I ran into technical problems on their site as I was using a Canadian laptop in the United States to order. This caused technical issues on their end. I was offered the option to do a Canadian e-transfer but quoted the costs in US dollars that were not converted and so the transfer could not occur. I then had to contact customer service which was HORRIBLE, as the payment option could not be changed, Miko from customer service was demeaning and incorrect. Terrible experience.

They will send you "delivered with pictures but actually not.

They will send you "delivered successfully" nd with photos only to find out it was rejected by the recipient as the last name is different. they will not let u know but instead put " delivered" when contacted, they refuse to refund you without asking for the sipping fee of 20.00 and wont even apologize. They said that " we dont notify our clients, we dont have to send notifications" so its clearly that this company dont care. and they replied " yah, thats right, we dnt do that". Simply unbelievable. Put your money elsewhere.

Stolen package - No refund

My mother ordered a surprise package for me. The delivery company HAZELTON'S uses didn't call me and notify me only hours later, and the package left in the entrance to the building. Meanwhile the package was stolen. I tried to reach HAZELTON'S customer service but was noted that customer is accepting the risk of lost and stolen gifts/gift baskets, and a lot more "explanations" it is not HAZELTON'S responsibility. Be aware when you order!

Poor delivery

Poor delivery I ordered this as a gift for my adult children on Christmas Day so they could enjoy a treat on the day without me there. The delivery promised 1 day ground delivery. I specifically waited till 23 Dec to ensure delivery on the 24th or the 25th. They did not ship until the 27th December, and it arrived on 28 Dec. We missed Christmas. The customer service team were unhelpful and not apologetic.i would not recommend this company at all.

Will not use again very upset.

Will not use again very upset. Missing item (coffee) and they will not send replacement. Keep asking for photographic evidence. Not possible to provide as recipient did not know it was missing and it arrived covered in plastic in a cardboard box! Hazelton’s adamant they will do nothing until we send photographic evidence. I believe they did not put in the coffee! I have since found out they only sent 2 cheeses instead of 3 …how can they get away with this and what can I do?
