Five Star Properties and Bliss Beach Rentals

This is a horrible company! After being told by the gov. Of FL to stay home and all beaches being closed due to Corona Virus. This company has refused to give anyone a refund. They are holding onto our $9,000. They say will offer us another booking but conveniently that are all booked and the ones that aren’t are several thousand dollars more. They then proceeded to cancel our booking and put it back on the market for $5,500. What a terrible time to take advantage of people. I would NeVER recommend to book with this company!!! I wonder if the owners of these people even have a clue what they are doing.

Destiny by the sea was an awesome and magical place for us. I have come to Destin for over 20 years and never ventured to this part of town. It was by far the best vacation in Destin I have ever had. By the second day we all said we want to come back and make it a family tradition. Even twice a year.

The agency was very easy to work with and answered all my questions. It was a seamless rental experience.

Will never vacation with anyone else. Simply perfect!

The house was adorable and very clean. Easy and short walk to beach access. My only suggestion would be to provide some beach chairs. We would happily go back.

The Son Kissed Condo was absolutely beautiful! The majority of the furniture was brand new and it appeared as if the home had been recently painted and accessorized. The home is more stunning than the pictures on VRBO. We only had 8 people and we were more than comfortable. It was wonderful having the lower bedroom/hangout area so the upstairs can be used for another area to relax. The location of the unit could not have been better as the walk to the beach was about 4 minutes. The beds were extremely comfortable, the furnishings very nice, and just enough clean linens. It would've been helpful to bring beach chairs as I thought they were furnished. It's obvious they take great pride in their home. The toaster is broken which owners don't know because no one takes time to tell them but it wasn't a big deal. The kitchen is fairly well stocked with dishes, bowls, pans and two sets of silverware! The oven and stove are incredible with warming lights for bacon or other food! I would suggest maybe a few extra cooking utensils and perhaps a better can opener. The location was nice and it only took about 5-8 minutes to get to stores or eateries. The only reason I am giving four stars is because the cleaning service did not vacuum the master suite and closet before we arrived which has nothing to do with the home or owners. It was probably just an oversight as the rest of the home was very clean. I would definitely return to Son Kissed for a vacation! It's beautiful!!

The word is that you are not refunding families for their lost rental dates due to the pandemic , but instead asking them to switch dates and incur the price differences.Give people their money back and they will return, but do the wrong thing and they tell 5 friends and so on... Do the right thing. Everyone is making sacrifices.

This company is so immoral, they won’t refund us or reschedule our stay without a massive increase in cost. They blocked us from commenting on our opinion

Unethical company - refusing to refund any amount of money despite being told to by VRBO, the site to which the property was originally booked. Allowing customers to reschedule trips, but ironically the only available weeks are considerably higher than what we previously paid and will require us to pay even more. Unbelievable.

It's a National Pandemic, Governors closing states, beaches are closed and I'm being told by Customer Service rep, Mike of Five Star Gulf Rentals, that I'm “being a bully” when asking for a refund for our Spring Break trip and then hung up on by Supervisor, Terry. I asked Mike, before booking, "if things get worse [coronavirus], will we be able to cancel our reservation for a refund?" Mike replied, "Yes, we will be able to work with you." (We’ve requested the phone recordings they said they have and “swear to listen to and get back to us if there was anything, they feel they could do better.” On March 20th, Illinois went on Lock-down, per the Governor. Half of our party is in IL, and therefore, unable to travel to Rosemary Beach, FL. We called Five Star Gulf Rentals at 5:46p, Mike answered (again), inquiring about the steps we need to take to cancel and get our refund. Mike informs us that they are not refunding but crediting for 12 months out. I reminded him of our conversation on the 14th and he said he “made no guarantee” and that the agreement has their cancelation policy on it. They charged us 100% before sending me an agreement to review. We never signed the agreement. If you have had a similar situation with Five Star Gulf Rentals or any rental company, I recommend filing a complaint with Ashley Moody, Florida's Attorney General.
