We have already had our front bay windows re-done; this decided us to go further with others. We were very happy with your representative who visited, and we were happy enough to agree to go ahead with the further work.

Had a great conversation with the original visit. All options were explored and an acceptable solution was chosen. Shortly afterwards received a call to book the technical survey and then the install. The survey was quick, professional and detailed. The install was amazing. 2 fitters arrived at the time they were supposed to, conducted a quick inspection then cracked on with the install. Install complete and the fitters cleaned up after themselves, demonstrated window operation and ensured I was fully happy. I was so impressed I actually ordered a further install and received the same level of service. I’d highly recommend.

Fantastic service from sales to installation.

Fantastic service from sales to survey and installation. Couldn't be happier with the results - exactly what we hoped for for our home. Two new doors and three windows perfectly fitted. Elevating the look and feel of our home as part of updating and replacing very old ones.

Avoid - unless you want to waste nearly 3 hours for one quote

I was directed to First Home Improvements by the Help2Buy scheme which again is a bit of a joke. The sales guys who came were pleasant enough. Though nearly 3 hours to quote us on windows. We made it very clear at the beginning we were just after quotes. But no, we had a sales pitch, window display, video demo, company history, every salesman tactic going and those phone calls to the boss. Bearing in mind both myself and my partner had been at work all day, we tried numerous times to be polite. £13,880 for 6 windows and a french door. Appreciate these things aren't cheap but it seemed excessive and I agree with a lot of the other 1 star reviews comments. They really had no clue on social cues, we had a child that needed putting to bed and they were still jabbering away on their products. When we told them once again we were just looking for quotes they really tried to push us there and then to lock in a deal that was £3k less. They seemed more interested in the advertising of their company than actually listening to us. In this day and age companies should stop with the hard sell and stupid sales games and respect the potential customer with their request, it's really put us off finding other quotes from genuine companies. And please I don't want a standard message from the company, maybe retrain your staff instead.

Huntingdon

Phyllis from the huntingdon branch was helpful and informative. She was able to help me chose the windows and door I wanted. The surveyor that came answered and questions I had and the process weas really easy. The fitter were absolutely amazing and brilliant, nothing was too much trouble for them. They never stopped and got the job done fast and efficiently. They dealt with any issue that came up without complaint. Meida from the huntingdon branch came to help me with a possible future project. She was respectful of my circumstances and very understanding. I would recommend first home improvements.

Amazing advice, Great all around

Quick professional install, after surveying windows and doors throughally while placing original order. Sales team have good advice which they tailor to budget as best they can. Good local improvement schemes for certain postcodes - that I was lucky enough to be able to benefit from. All around a great company to go for when considering improving your home.

Good communication from start to finish

We had two guys come and installed windows for us just before Christmas 2024. Their names were Michael goldhawk and Mark Taylor. They both were good and efficient at installing windows in a timely manner and were extremely pleasant to talk too. Hope they will be back to install our front door and another window.

Not as stressful as I was expecting!

From start to finish, First Home Improvements have impressed us. Communication prior to installation was great and we were always kept up to date and informed. On the installation day, Ben Cox & John Haigh arrived on time, were very professional and did an excellent job. They just got on with the job and I was impressed with the speed in which they were progressing. At the end, they made sure I was happy with everything and tidied up like they hadn't even been there. Thank You

Amazing, efficient service

We are over the moon with our experience with First home improvements, from start to finish. In the call a few days before the installation I let them know I would have a young baby and a house cat with me and they worked with me throughout the day to make sure the installation worked around me and my household. The team were courteous and polite throughout and were able to answer any questions that cropped up throughout the day. Everything was installed to a high standard and mess was minimal. Mark Spencer, Chris Cade, Brandon Milliard and Marie Gabbot did a fantastic job throughout the day and we can't fault them team nor the products, we have felt a difference in the last week already!

Just had completion of a conservatory…

Just had completion of a conservatory by First and the initial contact with salesman was polite reasonable and after discussing all the options agreed a price. The builders doing the footings and brickwork were first class and were very clean and polite workers The installation team erected the conservatory within the time frame and I was very happy with the finished result. If this was the end of this review there would be five stars without any doubt however. We were then phoned by their Diss office who asked if everything was OK to which I replied yes there is just a slight drip from one of the gutters that just needs probably unclipping and look at the rubber inserts but no big deal. He said could he come out to insect the conservatory and I said certainly. He then started to talk so quickly that with my hearing I was not able to fully understand what he was saying but he offered £1000 but I had no idea what for Finally he asked if there was someone else but my wife was out so he said he’d call back when I went to reply he just hung up. He phoned back later asked if my wife was in I said no not yet and he just hung up again. He phoned next day and spoke to my wife who said about the gutter and he said he would come out at 11-30am to look at it. He then started to speed talk again saying they had done a good job and there must be something else we needed and they would give a £1000 voucher. My wife said everything was done to which he said there must be plenty of things you need and we have done an excellent job. My wife said to him countless times to slow down his speech as she was having a problem understanding him and she said I’m feeling very pressured by you and don’t like it With that he hung up on her. I have complained to First as we had a very good experience but this was tarnished and spoilt by the actions of one man.

Mr and Mrs Buta review from Coventry

I am writing to thank you for the 10 windows we have replaced at our home with First Home Improvements The team that came to do the instalation was very proffesional.They paid attention to details and worked very clean.Everithing was covered and after the work everithing was left like before. The quality seems very good so far and we have not identified any issues what so ever . Thank you again for the support and the way the instalattion was handeled. We recommend this company and I am conviced I will use their services again.
