Overall good service
Used Enact to remortgage. Pretty smooth process, kept informed throughout. Got a response via the messaging option when needed and got through on the phone every time I called. Would use Enact again.

When faced with two mortgage products, don't choose the option with legal support included - go for the cashback instead. I made this mistake many months ago and I'm still paying for it. My completion date was last week and I still have yet to actually talk to my solicitor directly. Each time they send you a question (even if you've previously answered it) their 3 day SLA resets which is how they justify the ludicrous amount of time it takes for them to do, well, anything. My ex-partner is down thousands of pounds and I'm still stuck chasing multiple times a day, only to be fobbed off by a different person every time. A re-mortgage and Transfer of Equity following a break-up is hard enough as it is; don't make it harder for yourself by leaving it in the hands of Enact. Source your own conveyancing firm and take the money.

The process of mortgaging with Enact was a very simple process compared to other that I have used in the past it made for a pleasant surprise. The only area I would say I found to be a bit frustrating was was being asked to gather all the paperwork together and send over then being asked again for more paperwork and more up to date paperwork. However considering all of the paperwork issues I still found Enact to be very professional and very helpful and suportive.

Rubbish! Their online portal never worked so I wasn't able to access the progress of my case. When I filled in my details they got a fair few of them wrong initially, including my bank account details! Their phone lines never had a good connection, which meant communication was difficult at the best of times. And the biggest problem, the amount sent back to me after the remortgage had completed is incorrect. You'd think they would be able to do simple maths, but no! I'll be ringing to get what money I am owed.

I had to remortgage as a single applicant following a relationship breakdown. My caseworker was extremely knowledgeable and professional. There were a few issues with the bank and he was more than happy to keep going back and forth to rectify this. There was always someone to speak to when I had questions and honestly, I couldn't have used a better company and I have previously used 2. Everything was done in less than 4 weeks. Thank you so much for your help.

Enact was commissioned by my bank to handle the conveyancing on my remortgage. I was really impressed with the service. I was provided an online link to my account where I could log in whenever I wanted to see how it was progressing. Anything I needed to do ( like sign & return documents ) was detailed in the ‘My Tasks’ area just like a to do list & when I’d completed them this was indicated. There was also a range of choices of how I could get in touch with staff if I needed to . I chose the online chat service, where I was able to get the information I needed very quickly. The team were super efficient - very professional , I never had to ask anything more than once. At the start of the process my bank had given me an approx timescale for completion. I was delighted that completion was over a week faster than this, it was such smooth process. If I am ever in a position to commission a conveyancer myself in the future Enact would be my first choice.
