When faced with two mortgage products, don't choose the option with legal support included - go for the cashback instead. I made this mistake many months ago and I'm still paying for it. My completion date was last week and I still have yet to actually talk to my solicitor directly. Each time they send you a question (even if you've previously answered it) their 3 day SLA resets which is how they justify the ludicrous amount of time it takes for them to do, well, anything. My ex-partner is down thousands of pounds and I'm still stuck chasing multiple times a day, only to be fobbed off by a different person every time. A re-mortgage and Transfer of Equity following a break-up is hard enough as it is; don't make it harder for yourself by leaving it in the hands of Enact.
