Overall good service
Used Enact to remortgage. Pretty smooth process, kept informed throughout. Got a response via the messaging option when needed and got through on the phone every time I called. Would use Enact again.
They were tremendously helpful throughout

Things started really well in the remortgaging of my two Buy-to-Let properties, but things are now dragging on. I'm not appreciative of phone calls during my working hours, and equally not appreciative of the repetitive auto generated replies on the Case Tracker. For one property, I've had weeks and weeks of the onus being put on me to sort an issue out, without telling me how to, and now Enact are claiming that they can deal with it.... a lot of time wasted.

Quick and easy to sum it up and all done well within a month. Tracker system that is sent via email link keeps you updated at what stage you are at. I would highly recommend and no doubt will be using again

I am very disappointed with the level of service received from Enact, they seem to have no regard for the fact they are dealing with people, their lives and in my case, a very sensitive and emotive situation. You are assigned a caseworker and must conduct all communications via an online portal – this is extremely unhelpful when sometimes all you want/need to do is have an actual conversation with someone. You can call their general enquiry line, but this is essentially just a human answering service, because all they do is pass your message onto the team who are dealing with your case – a message you can leave on the online portal anyway! In my case, they wasted over a week asking me the same questions over and over again - answers they could have found if they had simply read the documents they asked me to upload. Within that time, they also negated to answer any of the questions I repeatedly put to them and seemed to just simply ignore them. After all the back and forth, they then ‘refused’ to proceed with my case and told me I’d have to go through my solicitor. I only found this out because I called their general enquiry line so I could get an update on my case – it is still unclear if I ever would have been told this if I hadn’t made that call. The delivery of this message was unprofessional and has ended up costing me more money, because they could have told me that in the very beginning if they’d bothered to read the documents they asked me to upload. I would not recommend Enact at all and strongly urge people to look at other conveyancing firms.

I used Enact for a re-mortgage (Chloe). The service I received was always prompt and very professional and I would not hesitate to recommend them or indeed use them again. The online portal is very easy to use and there were no hidden surprises in terms of additional costs at the end of the process.

Enact was appointed by the new lender of my remortgage. Three main issues: 1) enact lacks of pro activity and responsiveness 2) they rely on post service without tracking, losing control of the timelines 3) they lack of flexibility and options to work around their poor process. 1. I asked to treat my remortgage case as a priority given a tight deadline. While the Enact chat function was responsive, the manager who owned the case was not to be seen and very unresponsive. I had to escalate and request for information about the official status many times and push to accelerate as much as possible. If you don’t chase them, you will just wait. 2. Everything was somehow proceeding slow but ok, till the request to sign the mortgage deed. Enact rely on post services to collect official documents (e.g. mortgage deed) but they do not track them. I did sign and returned all the documents on the same day, but they cannot proceed as they did not get them back. Be aware that They cannot track the post. If you have no time and something goes wrong, this will impact you and they won’t help. 3. When asked to find other options to progress, they did not give any. The only option they gave me was to wait (without any consideration of the remortgage deadline). They also declined to use scanned copies I provided while waiting for the originals to arrive. Then they kept chasing me and telling me to return the documents. Like the lack of progress was my fault. In the end I will likely miss the remortgage deadline because of them. Overall poor service a general lack of care towards the end users.

You will lose your sale / buy if you going to use Enact! Case worker changed 3 times - No respect to us as customers - No call back ! Case worker called Nicola and Stuart Barton they are really bad and failed to send basic 4 answers to the buyer's solicitor and we missed the date of exchange contract. I saw other people complaining but I was not expected to be one of them because our buyer is a cash one. SHAME ON YOU ENACT.
