I was trying to find a property for my first rental, and moving as far as from the north west to the south coast my experience with Charters, in particular estate agent Lily, made this stress free and easy. I was able to find my perfect first home, highly recommend Charters if you’re looking for a property to rent or buy!!
Was super anxious going into this process, but Holly has been wonderful! She’s attentive and knowledgeable, and has been there for every question I’ve had responding personally and quickly.
We received excellent, attentive and friendly service from the Gosport branch - and good recommendations for possible properties. We were shown around several properties by Maya Jorgensen, who was friendly and kind as well as professional!
It was a pleasure to have Maya helping us with our search for a new home. She was always helpful and engaging, nothing was too much trouble.

Oliver worked with us to manage our rental property for almost 2 years. Oliver was professional, extremely knowledgeable on legal and process issues, always punctual with meetings, and efficient and quick to respond to phone calls and emails. He showed empathy and genuine concern for any issues we had and helped us to find solutions. Recently bought a house through Charters Alresford. Ryan and team were very professional and supportive at the outset of the process as we viewed and secured our dream property. Then Jo Goddard took us through the sales process and her persistence and regular communication helped get a tricky chain over the line. Jo was always available to speak to and explained processes and issues that arose, often managing multiple stakeholders throughout the chain to push for a resolution. Vacated my rental property in Southampton in middle of March after 6 years. Landlady confirmed she had initiated the process for release of deposit Friday 21st March. 11th still no receipt which must all be down to Charters inability to return it as contact was finally received from Rimi Tumas, End of Tenancy Manager, on Wednesday 2nd April asking for bank details and promising return within 3 to 5 days, I chased again after 7 days had passed and still nothing after 9 days, you should never promise something that you don’t then deliver on. £1,800 is a lot of money they are taking a long time to return. Next week they will be in breach of the least agreement for which it will be necessary to take action against the landlady who is clearly not at fault. I would not recommend Charters as a letting agent.
