It was very easy to use Centauro, which I and my familiy has done for more than 15 years. During the last two years the service has overall developed and the price for full cover insurance.

Horrible experience. The only way to get there from Madrid airport is with a shuttle( badly organized) and once we got there we had to wait hours in the sun in the queue.
una stella perchè meno non si può. sono imbarazzanti, servizio clienti ridicolo. Effettuato prenotazione online pagamento andato a buon fine ma la prenotazione no, quindi mi trovo ad aver pagato ma no ho nessun numero di prenotazione in mano. per fare reclamo devi compilare un form dove il numero di prenotazione è obbligatorio. ho doovuto contestare il pagamento al servizio clienti della mia carta di credito. Evitate questa società come la peste.
Finger weg! Bei Abholung des Autos war viel los und die Mitarbeiter dementsprechend kurz angebunden und unfreundlich. Von anderen Autovermietungen bin ich es gewohnt, gemeinsam mit einem Mitarbeiter das Auto in Empfang zu nehmen. Inkl. Erklärung und evtl. Dokumentation von bereits erfolgten Schäden. Ich bekam lediglich den Schlüssel auf den Tresen geknallt und musste das Auto selbst suchen. Bei der Abgabe dann die Abzocke: Mir wurde ein Schaden abgedichtet, den ich nicht verursacht habe. Und da ich leider keine Beweisfotos gemacht habe, wurden 270€ einbehalten. Das Personal, ebenfalls wieder kurz angebunden und unfreundlich, lies sich auf keine Diskussion ein. Nicht einmal ein Schadensbericht wurde mir ausgestellt. Nun hoffe ich auf Check24 und den Premiumschutz, um die Kosten zurück zu erhalten. Wie bereits in vorherigen Rezensionen geschrieben: Centauro lockt mit günstigen Angeboten und verdient am Ende mit solchen Methoden. Nie wieder Centauro. Einen Stern gibt es lediglich für die Nähe zum Flughafen und den Shuttleservice.

We recently hired from Murcia (Covera) airport, a company that as a family we have used since 2002. We generally use them 7 - 9 times a year. However our last experience has left us feeling very disappointed! Our car was a Fiat 500. I think it was fair to say it had seen better days, very grubby inside, dents (some quite extensive), scratches and grazes. We are generally thorough when noting damage and probably spent twenty minutes photographing them all. We left the compound and within two minutes were on the motorway so we put the radio on. Alas no signal, I expected that the Ariel had been removed and placed in the door pocket, floorwell or boot, clearly we couldn’t check the boot whilst on the motorway, so I checked once at our destination, however it clearly wasn’t with the car. As we don’t drive much at this time of year we didn’t feel it was a major issue resolving to mention it when we handed our keys back a week later. This I did and was absolutely astonished to find that I was being charged €60 for a ‘missing’ Ariel. I explained exactly what we had (or not) found but clearly the operative was very keen to charge for an Ariel. We have used this company since 2002 and this was how we were treated. Even more galling was the fact that I had mentioned the Ariel to him in the first instance, clearly I should have said nothing and taken a chance. Really really disappointing.
Finger weg! Thessaloniki Flughafen. Wagenübergabe findet nicht statt. Wir sollten mit einem defekten Licht (das Glas war gesplittert) losfahren, für etwas Sand im Fußraum sollten wir 75€ bezahlen, der Service ist unzuverlässig und extrem unfreundlich. Nie wieder!
Centauro Mallorca- not to be trusted . ( AE 5823 771/ ER25066627).I booked through Centauro’ s broker AE website which offered a promo and stated “ airport pick up “ ( instead of “ shuttle bus “ . When the voucher arrived it only referred to shuttle bus pick up . I queried this with an AE call centre . They admitted the website was wrong but offered no apology or compensation - just saying I could cancel and rebook . I wonder whether this was a deliberate mistake to lure customers in or genuinely an accidental error . If the later , I would have expected remorse and compensation . So I assume it was not accidental .
Une étoile parce que je ne peux pas mettre 0. Centauro est la pire compagnie de location de voiture. Ils vont tout faire pour vous arnaquer. Si vous ne me croyez pas, regardez les commentaires. Nous avions pris une voiture à un prix défiant toute concurrence avec une assurance tout risque via Booking. La navette a pris beaucoup de temps mais le chauffeur était très gentil. Arrivées au comptoir, une autre histoire. La femme de l'accueil nous explique que notre assurance n'est pas valable et que nous sommes obligées de prendre leur assurance pour louer la voiture. Nous étions deux dont une parle parfaitement portugais. Là cette femme a fait exprès de parler de façon incompréhensible et je ne parle même pas de son attitude. Nous avons finis par ne pas prendre la voiture même si nous l'avions payée. Grand bien nous a pris car en voyant les commentaires, je me rend compte que le montant de l'arnaque aurait pû être beaucoup plus salé. Donc encore une fois, FUYEZ !!!!!
I wouldn't ever use this company again. They are dishonest - the agent on the Alicante desk lied to me on pickup, saying a 200 euro fee was a damage deposit and would be returned if the car was returned undamaged. It wasn't, it was non-refundable 'Smart Cover'. Buyer beware - don't believe what the agent tells you and read the small print of what you are signing. There are better car hire companies out there. And of course, I contacted Centauro customer service at the time who denied that the agent had lied and were unable to help me further.
I have used Centauro for almost 20 years and hopefully will continue to do so. The staff are very professional and friendly and I’ve never had a problem with their cars.
Wij huren graag bij Centauro. Service is goed, personeel heel vriendelijk. Auto is zelden die we hebben besteld maar meestal een goed alternatief. We hebben wat langer dan normaal moeten wachten op onze auto, omdat er geen automaat op de luchthaven aanwezig was. Deze moest van het parkeerterrein worden gehaald. Voor het eerst benzine kosten moeten betalen en het restant bij inleveren wordt terug gestort.
I picked up the car on the 19th of February 2025. Overall the service was not great starting from the airport pick up time till the time they handed me the keys of the car and told me to go outside and find it by myself. I took several photos of the car which was in a bad shape at the rear. I made a full circle of the car taking photos and I left. When I was back to hand over the car, the employee was checking every inch of the car trying to find something and he did. He told me that a plastic "minor" cap which was under the front bumper was missing and asked me for photos. I didnt have any photos of that because it was in a spot underneath the car and I couldn't see it at first. Being rude and straightforward he told me that I have to pay for the "damage" since I couldn't prove the initial existence by photos and he charged me 350 euros for that. So ignorant and pathetic customer services, I was wondering how a small plastic part can cost this amount of money and if they gad an price list for that. It was my word against his but he won because they had the details.of my credit card, which they blocked 1400 euros as an initial deposit and another 120 euros for the diesel. They charged me 350 euros for something that I didn't cause but I could not prove it through my phone and the photos. Overall is a pathetic scamming company who tries to make the most of it with these methods. They are unethical and professional thieves that they steal your money in front of you, right on your face. Do not trust them, do not book with them, you are definitely gonna lose money for nothing.
The service was excellent! The car pick-up and drop-off process was very simple and hassle-free. It had a few scratches and dents but it was fine as most of the damaged was included on the contract paperwork that is sent to your email address after you have collected your car. The fuel deposit was refunded to my account a few days later. No hidden fees. I have re-booked another hire car from Centauro for May this year from Alicante Airport. Overall, recommend Centauro.
