It was very easy to use Centauro, which I and my familiy has done for more than 15 years. During the last two years the service has overall developed and the price for full cover insurance.

Horrible experience. The only way to get there from Madrid airport is with a shuttle( badly organized) and once we got there we had to wait hours in the sun in the queue.
una stella perchè meno non si può. sono imbarazzanti, servizio clienti ridicolo. Effettuato prenotazione online pagamento andato a buon fine ma la prenotazione no, quindi mi trovo ad aver pagato ma no ho nessun numero di prenotazione in mano. per fare reclamo devi compilare un form dove il numero di prenotazione è obbligatorio. ho doovuto contestare il pagamento al servizio clienti della mia carta di credito. Evitate questa società come la peste.
Finger weg! Bei Abholung des Autos war viel los und die Mitarbeiter dementsprechend kurz angebunden und unfreundlich. Von anderen Autovermietungen bin ich es gewohnt, gemeinsam mit einem Mitarbeiter das Auto in Empfang zu nehmen. Inkl. Erklärung und evtl. Dokumentation von bereits erfolgten Schäden. Ich bekam lediglich den Schlüssel auf den Tresen geknallt und musste das Auto selbst suchen. Bei der Abgabe dann die Abzocke: Mir wurde ein Schaden abgedichtet, den ich nicht verursacht habe. Und da ich leider keine Beweisfotos gemacht habe, wurden 270€ einbehalten. Das Personal, ebenfalls wieder kurz angebunden und unfreundlich, lies sich auf keine Diskussion ein. Nicht einmal ein Schadensbericht wurde mir ausgestellt. Nun hoffe ich auf Check24 und den Premiumschutz, um die Kosten zurück zu erhalten. Wie bereits in vorherigen Rezensionen geschrieben: Centauro lockt mit günstigen Angeboten und verdient am Ende mit solchen Methoden. Nie wieder Centauro. Einen Stern gibt es lediglich für die Nähe zum Flughafen und den Shuttleservice.

Booked a car from Alicante airport. Had to wait over an hour before being seen to. They took 70 euro off my card for petrol and I was told this would be refunded if I returned the tank full which I did. They also blocked 1100 euro off my card for insurance against any damage. The car was took back no damage and a full tank of petrol. I received the refund for the petrol but its now been two weeks and the 1100 euro has still not been refunded? Impossible to find someone to talk to on the phone about this so I sent an email. Auto reply was they will respond within 12 to 14 days!!!!!

Buchung über Check24 inkl. Premium Schutz. Vor Ort alles reibungslos gelaufen. Bevor mir der Wagen übergeben wurde, musste ich wie gewohnt den Vertrag unterschreiben. Von einer zusätzlichen Versicherung war nie die Rede! Mit der Kreditkartenabrechnung kam dann die Quittung, 180€ Versicherung on top bei einem Preis von 200€ für den Mietwagen über Check24. Centauro Service blockt ab. Klassische abzocke!

Le temps d attente 1h30 pour récupérer le véhicule, à la prise du véhicule aucun agent pour faire l état des lieux du véhicule, notre location une ford Fiesta qui comportait plusieurs petit impact, ainsi que l essuie glaces arrière absent, obligé de faire des photos nous même, je trouve cela déplorable en cas de litiges,

Where efficiency and customer service go to die! The personnel was demotivated and moving at the pace of inanimate objects, it took 1.5 hours to get the keys in hand and drive off.

They have a full to full return policy. I returned the car full and waited 7 days for my refund. No money so i contacted them after 20 days. They auto reply saying it takes them 12-14 days to reply to emails. They make you wait at arrivals for 40-50 mins. Give you a car with scrapes and dents. Worst car hire company in Alicante by far and this is the 17th i have rented in Alicante.

Contract EC25242293 I have tried different car rental in Malaga airport, but it was my first time with Centauro. Most important things for me is good price, no hidden extra fees and nice car. The price was BY FAR the lowest included full insurance. And nice new car. The deposit from gasoline was at my account in 3 days after we came back. The shuttle bus from airport was no problem and easy to find. The driver was very service minded. I will definitely use them again.

Zarezerwowałem przez CarJet (DoYouSpain) samochód w Funchal, Madeira, na 6 lipca 2025 r. i zapłaciłem z góry. Mój lot (Wizzair) został przekierowany do Faro z powodu złej pogody. Po przylocie następnego dnia i dotarciu do Centauro odmówiono mi wydania samochodu – mimo że był opłacony i czekałem na niego z rodziną. Zmuszono mnie do wynajmu nowego auta na gorszych warunkach i bez możliwości zwrotu pieniędzy za pierwotną rezerwację. Kontakt z obsługą CarJet/DoYouSpain był praktycznie niemożliwy – adresy mailowe nie działały, a formularz kontaktowy nie umożliwiał złożenia reklamacji. To była opłacona usługa, której nie zrealizowano. Takie praktyki są moim zdaniem nieetyczne. Nie polecam. I booked and prepaid a car through CarJet (DoYouSpain) for pickup in Funchal, Madeira, on July 6, 2025. Due to severe weather, my flight was diverted to Faro. I arrived the next day and went to Centauro, only to be told that my prepaid car was not available anymore. I was forced to make a second booking at a higher price. CarJet/DoYouSpain refused to refund the original amount, even though I never cancelled — I still needed the car and was only delayed due to the airline. Their support system is nearly unreachable: inactive emails and a contact form that blocks complaints. In my opinion, this is unacceptable. A fully prepaid service was not delivered. I cannot recommend this company.

A 2.5 hour wait for a pre-booked car at Lisbon airport. Sold peace of mind insurance at the desk but battery failed on car after it was parked for 36 hours which we were advised must be negligence as it was a new car, and we must " have left something on" which is impossible on a new car, with the key out. No apology, just blamed and then charged 400 euros for a tow truck to jump start the car.

Madrid airport. Excellent service. Ignore all the negative comments. Pickup with smartkey took only minutes and we were off in a nice new fiat 600 hybrid. Drop off also very fast and staff were great. 2nd time using centauro and will use them again without hesitation. Fuel surcharge refunded within hours of drop off also. I advise using the smartkey to avoid any queues. Pick up in minutes. Shuttle bus also fast and frequent. Others said you have to wait in the sun in a queue. Not true. Waiting room with AC and seats inside! Just upload all documents beforehand to skip the queue. Easy! Had 1 issue with the car's AC (our fault pressing the wrong button), employee came out and assisted us straight away and showed us all the functions of the car. Very friendly
