We are profoundly disappointed with our recent trip. Upon returning home after skiing, we discovered that the keypad on our door was malfunctioning. It was only slightly after 5 pm when we contacted the after-hours service, who attempted every possible code but were unsuccessful. The local team was unavailable for two hours, and the after-service line was located overseas. Consequently, we were locked out of our home for over two hours in freezing temperatures. We have requested that the property manager contact us after our trip, but we have yet to receive any response.
THIS PEOPLE RENTED THIS HOUSE AS PART OF THE EGLE NEST COMMUNITY AND IT WAS OUT OF THE PRIVILEGE ZONE. WE TRIED GENTLY TO CHANGE THE HOUSE FOR ANOTHER ONE EVEN MORE EXPENSIVE AND THE PEOPLE WERE NOT OPEN TO IT.
I wanted to express my disappointment regarding our recent experience. It took us nearly three hours to locate the house because we were given the wrong address. We called the emergency number multiple times, but despite our efforts, it was impossible to find the property until a local resident kindly accompanied us and helped us locate it. Additionally, the rear exit from Eagle Nest was closed due to road paving, which caused further inconvenience. Unfortunately, we had to cut our trip short and leave abruptly, as we received no effective assistance to resolve these issues. I am very disappointed with the level of service and attention we received. I hope you take this feedback seriously to improve future experiences for other guests.
We have used blue ridge mountain rentals many many times. This was the first time that something completely out of anyone’s control happened - the house we were supposed to stay in flooded due to a heavy rain storm that passed through. They notified us right away and we were already on our way, Angie was wonderful working with us to find another rental during a very busy holiday week. Within 2 hours she had us placed in a beautiful community that worked out well for our group of 4. I would highly recommend BRMR as they always have the best customer service and response time. Thank you for helping us and still allowing us a great new years in the mountains.

We made our reservation in August 2024 planning for our Christmas vacation Dec 21-28, 2024. We arrived at the rental home that cost $3900 for the week to find a 20 foot dump trailer in the front of the house taking up the driveway, it appeared that this home was having the wrap around porch remodeled before we arrived and looked like the renovations would continue after we left. When I called to request the dump trailer be removed, they said no it will stay and there were no other options for us on our Christmas vacation in the mountains, we would be forced to look at a dump trailer all week, give up a large part of our parking area and have 25% of the porch under construction and unusable. This rental company in our opinion does not care about complaints, they refunded us $500 but that was after multiple requests to resolve our issues. They said our contract doesn't give refunds, however we feel that by not giving us a warning about the property being under a remodel during our stay and not giving us as the consumer a choice in the matter is 100% a breach of the contract. The house itself was fine but not what we wanted to work around all week, it's just not fair, it's our 1 family vacation in years, since this reservation was made 4 plus months ago, to schedule a remodel while actively renting a vacation property is blatantly wrong and someone should be accountable. Buyer Beware, this rental company is not interested in customer service. If your rental has an issue, it is likely nothing will be resolved in your favor. It seems that they have too many properties and no quality control. Perhaps they are forgetting that vacation rental customers do have legal rights in these matters. If we as customers must abide by the signed contract, so must the rental company.
The house was just as advertised. It was very well stocked and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We had a great experience with Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals. If we needed anything they were available. The booking, check in and check out process was smooth. We had terrible weather on our departure day including Tornado warnings and they worked with us to stay an extra hour so we could leave safely and answered calls on a Sunday at 8am. Highly recommend working with them..
Easy process, great cabin.
The house we stayed at was beautiful with incredible views. There were a couple of things that needed maintenance before our arrival and had not been taken care off. The disposer in the downstairs kitchen had a sponge blocking it.we had to call for it to be repair and it took 5 days for someone to come. The two washers had mold growing on them. I think all appliances need to be run before guests arrive.

Cute and cozy little space. Kids loved the loft upstairs and we enjoyed the privacy of the bedroom. The fireplace and balcony were great. My main complaint was cleanliness upon arrival and the washing machine was very loud which is located in the kitchen. Just be sure to use it during the day. The rental company is very responsive. Would stay with them again.
The rental was just as described and pictured. It was comfortable, nicely furnished, and very clean. All the instructions from BRMR were clear and timely. We had a great time!
The unit was relatively worn - felt like it was rental car quality and everyone who had previously rented simply used the home hard for a few days and left. Lots of wear and tear. If you’re looking for a crash pad - this will do. If you want an elevated and luxurious rental experience, keep looking.
When you are spending quite a bit of money to rent a cabin, you expect a great experience. Unfortunately, that was not the case for us. We stayed at The Nest at Seven Devils. When we walked into the cabin, we saw two fridges, one in the kitchen and the other right near the stairs where there's little space to walk past. We thought it was a bit odd until we started putting food in the fridge that is in the kitchen and realized the fridge isn't working. No one informed us of this. Made sense now that they had two fridges. We started putting our food in the other fridge and realized that fridge also was not working. So now there's two fridges that don't work. Then we tried to connect to the wifi. Could not find the wifi name on the list of networks. We called customer service about the fridge and the wifi. One of the maintenance guys came and informed us that the second fridge is here because the first one stopped working with the people before us, and he confirmed the second fridge wasn't working. He said first thing in the morning he would replace the fridge. We also spoke to him about the wifi and finally figured it out and confirmed the login information given was not correct. Next morning, it's 10AM and no one has come yet to replace the fridge. I call customer service which is in India and told me they reached out to whoever they needed to get the status of when we will be receiving the fridge. I told her I'll gladly stay on the phone until she receives a response, but she told me she has to end the session so she can contact whoever it is she needs to about the fridge. But she told me she already reached out to someone, so that made no sense, so I said I am not ending the call until you hear back from someone. So we sat on the phone in silence for about five minutes and then she proceeds to tell me the fridge request ticket is actually closed and was taken care of? I said no it's absolutely not resolved, and we did not get a replacement we need one. She said she would call me back in five minutes to reach out to them again, I said fine. Did she call me back? Nope. So I called customer service again, got a different rep, told them the situation and need someone asap. The maintenance guy from the first night called me and said he ended up switching days with someone else and will let them know to call me and give me a status. No one called. Three hours later I called the same maintenance guy back letting him know and he apologized and said he'll call them right away. They finally came and replaced the fridge. The replacement fridge also wasn't working correctly, but had a little coolness to it, and we were just very tired from the back and forth, so we just hoped for the best. Oven was filthy, kitchenware was not cleaned, found food on plates. Pictures on the website are outdated and don't have the same items in the cabin such as knives, table, end tables, etc. The blinds on the windows are broken, bathroom door handle is falling off, shower faucet is loose, blanket was dirty, found a used tissue on the floor. The welcome packet to read when you arrive is not up to date. It says they only have a gas fireplace, when the living room has a wood burning. The fireplace on the lower level is gas and it looks like it's taken apart, not sure if it works or not. The wood burning fireplace was the highlight of our stay, but overall, not worth booking through this company. And reading the BRMR responses in these google reviews, there seems to be no accountability at all and keep blaming their customers.
We had a wonderful Christmas Vacation at this cozy yet spacious cabin! It was very clean and had a well appointed kitchen. The views are spectacular and we all enjoyed the huge wood burning fireplace. We will definitely be back!
The cabin was beautiful, well stocked and well maintained. As advertised. The beds were very comfortable. Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals provided excellent service, check in was easy. We received an email 2 days prior to our arrival indicating the fridge in the kitchen wasn't working, they quickly provided a fridge in the garage in the interim and offered concessions for the inconvenience. We will definitely come back and stay again!
