Bitdefender has mixed reviews from customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.
I am having great difficulty trying to cancel auto-renewal of a Premium VPN subscription with Bitdefender. Bitdefender want to renew at 100% rate when online they are advertising a 50% discount!!! Their "Contact Us" link constantly times out. What to do?
Had them for 5 years. The best protection, I have never had any PC issue and im online all the time. BUTTT last year, a staff use my debit card to purchase $400 of sport betting. Thank GOD my bank USAA blocked them for suspicious activity I wont be using them anymore since they are now $80 a year and the staff are thieves and NORTON 360 has a promotion for 15usd a year... yeah no brainer

No issues with the product/service in my opinion. The issue I have that's causing me to rate at a 3 is with the auto renew option. Like most people I tend jot to auto renew on products as you always end up getting shafted paying far more as a repeat customer rather than purchasing it as if a new customer. As such I've spent the last 40 mins attempting to find out how to disable the auto renew option. I went through the app, their website and then eventually their 3rd party payment companies website in order to disable the auto renew function. I get that they want to have as many people as possible using it as it just mean repeat business. But it's just such a shady practise hiding the option to disable the auto renew. Bitdefwnder need to do better with this!

One of the best cybersecurity solutions to date. Been a loyal customer for 5 years now and counting. I like Bitdefender, as they detect more malicious samples than any other solution. It is fully featured, and I greatly appreciate how light it is on resources. They have awesome Black Friday deals, so they are always within budget. I had to contact support one day as the application kept popping up in-app offers even when I explicitly asked it not to bother me. After some back and forth with support, they fixed the issue and even offered me a free Digital Identity Protection plan. Keep it up, Bitdefender.

Ik heb bitdefender pas geïnstalleerd vandaag en mijn laptop de hele tijd vastgelopen en bij het toevoegen van andere devices werkten ook niet zo goed. Ik heb nooit deze problemen gehad bij andere anti-virus software zoals bij AVG, MC Afee. Deels van de problemen heb ik zelf opgelost na a 2 3 uur bezig geweest. Nu werkt mijn laptop weer. Bij activatie heb ik niks gekregen terwijl al betaald heb via Paypal. Het zou binnen 3 uur moeten er zijn. Zo veel werk om voor elkaar te krijgen pff. Volgend jaar ga ik deze niet meer gebruiken. Downloaden van VPN is gelukt maar het bestand krijg ik niet open zo raar. Heb contact via de mail en snel geantwoord. Dat is plus punt. Ik ben bang ook dat als ik niet tevreden ben dan ik deze abonnement niet kan stopzetten. Hoop dat ze niet zo moeilijk doet zo heb ik hier gelezen. De beste bescherming moet ook toegankelijk en gebruikersvriendelijk voor iedereen zijn. Niet iedereen is ICT-er. Dus...Om die redenen geef ik 2 sterren. Van 2 sterren geef ik nu 3 sterren omdat ze nog bezig zijn met de oplossing en is nog niet opgelost. Communicatie is prima verlopen

I've never had an issue with Bitdefender. It does exactly what I expect an AV to do. Its job. And silently at that. I've never once thought of BD as annoying, or disruptive. I also haven't had any issues with viruses. I actually have 0 complaints. [Some of the reviews here made me worry a bit so] I checked the website to ensure that I was able to easily end my service. I have a yearly plan, so maybe things are different for me, but I was able to find the "End Auto-Renewal" button on BD Central no problem. (Maybe the problem arises when you actually press the button..?) As of right now, I have no plans to switch from Bitdefender. I have no reason to lol

Insgesamt wäre Bitdefender ein gutes Produkt. Auch der Virenscanner reagiert recht schnell auf Gefahren wie Viren oder Malware. Wenn da nur nicht der bittere Nachgeschmack bezüglich der BD Firewall geblieben wäre. Als ich verschiedenste Ports schliessen wollte um den Telemetrie Datenaustausch zu unterbinden. Musste ich feststellen das dies in Bitdefender gar nicht so möglich ist. Ich erstellte manuell eine neue Regel, wies dieser den nötigen Port zu, den ich gerne geschlossen haben wollte. Dabei teilte ich die IP local oder remote mit usw. Doch dann das grosse Erwachen...nichts! Ich machte hierbei eine Überprüfung. Ich schloss den Port 80, 443 und wollte dabei einmal nachsehen ob ich ins Internet gelangen könnte. Leider ging das, obwohl diese Ports blockiert sein sollten. Machte ich den selben Versuch in der Win Defender Firewall. Dann waren die Ports komplett geschlossen und die Internetverbindungen blockiert! Also meine Schlussfolgerung, die BD Firewall schützt also demnach ungenügend. Kann das sein dachte ich?! Auch der Support von BD konnte mir nicht helfen. Die behaupten ganz schlicht und einfach, dass dies Problem an meinem Computer läge. Tut es aber nicht, denn auf anderen PC geht das ebenso wenig. Daher erhält die Firma BD nur einen Stern von mir. Ein Produkt Antivirus Total das beinahe 60 Euro sollte solche Einstellung schon können!
