Bitdefender has mixed reviews from customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.
I am having great difficulty trying to cancel auto-renewal of a Premium VPN subscription with Bitdefender. Bitdefender want to renew at 100% rate when online they are advertising a 50% discount!!! Their "Contact Us" link constantly times out. What to do?
Had them for 5 years. The best protection, I have never had any PC issue and im online all the time. BUTTT last year, a staff use my debit card to purchase $400 of sport betting. Thank GOD my bank USAA blocked them for suspicious activity I wont be using them anymore since they are now $80 a year and the staff are thieves and NORTON 360 has a promotion for 15usd a year... yeah no brainer

Software tut was sie soll. Aber die Abwicklung mit Digital River? Kompletter Horror. Es ist für mich unverständlich wie man das Abonnement Management outsourcen kann und der Dienstleister es nicht schafft meine Bestellnummer zu finden. Wenn ich aber über die Bestellnummer mein Kennwort zurück setze scheint diese zu existieren. Nachdem ich dann mit dem neuen Passwort versucht habe mich einzuloggen war wieder keine zuordnung möglich. Und die Mails zum zurücksetzen? Kamen nach dem zweiten Versuch einfach nicht mehr an. Eine Kündigung war also nur über Kontaktformular möglich bei der ich jetzt hoffen kann, dass das überhaupt registriert wird bevor die nächste Abbuchung kommt. Alleine die Abwicklung mit dem Abo Management und die absolute Intransparenz dazu (keine Möglichkeit mit der App oder über die Bitdefender Central diese anzupassen) ist für mich Grund genug die Software zukünftig zu meiden. Sehr Schade eigentlich, weil die Software eigentlich ganz okay ist.

Uso Bitdefender ormai da anni e non mi son mai sentita al sicuro come da quando ho installato questo antivirus. Per me è il migliore! Il rinnovo automatico si può gestire tranquillamente all'indirizzo indicato nella sezione "supporto prodotti per privati" (o per aziende) e ci si mette 1 minuto a disattivarlo o riattivarlo, oppure direttamente dal bitdefender central nella sezione "i miei abbonamenti". Per ora pienamente soddisfatta! Considerando che alla scadenza annuale trovo sempre un'offerta più che buona, per me rimane il TOP degli antivirus!

Bitdefender Agent Disappears after 10 days during my 30 days free trial. I do not understand why there is a seperate application for that. Anyway, Bitdefender protection is on and working normally but the agent is no longer in the system tray (it's been 3 Days now idk he quit maybe). Bitdefender uses over 600MB of your RAM (check task manager for yourself).... That is incomprehensible seeing that the software advertises Machine Learning and Cloud detection. Bitdefender has a HUGE IMPACT on your computer's performance. Not lightweight at all. Features nobody uses: Safe Pay. Problems: -with Web and Audio protection via Skype. Even if you have enabled camera and with notify only for mic, screen share does not work (disabling everything in Bitdefender fixed the problem) -Anti tracker blocks different things on Edge and Firefox (blocks less, hence not working properly). -One click optimiser always facing problems deleting some files because it is in use or whatever rather than just deleting them and stopping all services that are using them or give the user the option to do so rather than being a waste of time. Confusion: putting cryptomining protection behind a paywall (only for total protection and up) which does not make sense since you advertise to protect against "all malware". It should be available in all the products. Price: Pocket drainer. Bitdefender VPN seperate app automatically installed rather than giving the user the option. Again with the seperate apps in the software industry that I just do not understand. Randomly changed the update interval from 1h to 12 hour by itself. creepy. -Anti-Tracker Extension: Superb -Firewall: normal average, does not have more features than windows firewall besides Port Scan Protection. That's it. -Virus protection: Pretty good Conlusion: Not recommended. Disappointed.

There is a common thinking that Mac's do not need antivirus protection. I use Bitdefender and it has located and prevented trogens attempting to get into my Mac. I am totally satisfied with the Bitdefender product and the quick and immediate help I get from the customer support whenever I have had a concern or question. GO WITH BITDEFENDER.

It is not possible to cancel the subscription by myself. All links and pages are faulty. The login fails. I only managed to cancel the subscription via email. I have been using Bitdefender for over 10 years for up to 8 devices. That's it, I'm out.
