American Water Resources has mixed reviews from customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.

Once the issue was reported, the company responded in a sufficient and courteous manner.
I like the company you sent off to snake my basement. The staff person was outstanding. But you sent me to a place that took 4 days to come out due to being back up w/ clients. Furthermore, why do I have to still pay a deductible when I pay my bill monthly - which should go towards a deductible.
Fast and efficient project repair.
Does not cover to repair repetitive sewage back up
The customer service rep was very helpful and nice.
The technician did a very good job replacing my kitchen faucet.
When I signed up for this program and explained my problem situation I was told that they were able to help me. I paid money into this program only to be told that they won’t cover my problem situation. I am a very disappointed customer 😡
I would like my $36.00 back Thank you.
Thank you for all the reviews because after reading them I will not sign up with this company,
My coverage is supposed to start today. It's been a month since I first contacted you and at least 3 phone calls later and I still have NOTHING from you. I was told 2 days ago I would receive an email in 2 to 5 minutes and still nothing. This is totally unacceptable.
Horrible they denied my claim, but didn't tell me, I called several times spoke with reps several times, they said a manager will call maybe there never around and it's been weeks and noone has called I have to pay for my own repair, horrible horrible customer service, nobody knows nothing
Please avoid using this company as they do not fulfill their contracts. They engage plumbers who fail to show up at the scheduled time. They also attempt to deceive customers into thinking they are right when they are not. It is frustrating when the contract states one thing, but they try to do something else. Additionally, it is concerning that the plumbers would arrive at someone's property without proper communication and then leave without informing the homeowner.
On July 13 inquired about coverage on a garbage disposal and spoke to an agent who helped me with the process. I recently was notified that my request was denied even though I followed the agent's instructions. He advised me to wait till August 14 to file a claim. I did receive a claim form in the mail and sent it on August 14. I want to cancel my account on each item I subscribed to immediately. I won't do business with a company where it's employees say gives incorrect information. It makes it look like you are finding a way to not pay out a claim as promised.
You sent Woods family plumbing ..they contacted you after looking at the job and they were told it was reassignedt to Rhino plumbing..they were the previous company that told me there was no clog..as of now they haven’t contacted me to come again to check out the cliog..I am so disappointed in the treatment I am getting from you..
I'm one happy camper. I took the warranty out for my water line in June. It was cheap so I said why not. In late August my water line developed a serious leak which required the entire line to be replaced. The house is almost 40 years old and my neighbor had to have his replaced. I guess it was my turn. I filed my claim on line and AWRUSA called me. I must say every step of the way these people were professional. I live in Vegas and they sent Anytime plumbing to do the work. They too were very professional. Bottom line is my water line was replaced with no charge to me. Usually these warranty companies have a service call charge but not these guys. Home insurance usually won't cover water or sewer lines. I think I'm going to add the sewer line warranty to the water line warranty and they also have an in house plumbing plan for a 3 in 1 package all for around $17.00 a month. I figure why not they just saved me around $4,000 andwho knows what else will break in an older home.
I don't like fact that the provider American Water sets you up with can contract a third party me it difficult to follow through with an issue.
Good salesmanship. They were able to convince me to upgrade my plan and also add a new plan. Your weakness.... is that I have been waiting for a refund of my original payment, before the upgrade and can't seem to get it resolved.
Terrible experience. After getting my claim number, you rep upsold me into bundling my plumbing insurance with electrical etc. I needed PAWC to locate my curb shutoff valve in order for the plumber to replace my main water shutoff valve. PAWC said that someone would be there with in 72 hours to locate my curb shutoff valve. It took over a week for them to come out. This was only accomplished after I had to change my Friday schedule and made a personal trip to the PAWC offices in Mechanicsburg. I called my plumber to schedule a time to replace my main shutoff valve. I was told to call AWR to reopen my claim. When I did AWR told me my claim was closed and could not be reopened. Why? Because Since I had now bundled my plumbing with electrical and etc., I had to wait another 30 days to make a new claim. I asked to talk to a supervisor and I was told he or she was not available but they would give me a call. I am still waiting. Terrible experience.
Never honored contract. AWRT said I was not covered because line was polybutylene (excluded by contract). Turns out the line was hard copper. AWRT then said leak occurred before contract was valid (contract effective date 6/21/24; made claim 7/15/24) so it was a pre-existing condition. I asked AWRT when/how they determined when the leak occurred since their initial (and only on-site investigation) was very cursory (took about 20 minutes). They said their "leak experts" had ways but wouldn't tell me what those ways were. End of discussion! I now believe AWRT had no intention of honoring the contract and would have kept on finding ways to delay honoring or not honoring the contract. I believe it is a scam.
