Waited 2 1/2 months trying to have American Water Resources solve my no hot water tank issues. At the end I had to have Home Depot install a new water heater tank. Horrible experience. what am I paying for. I cancelled my water tank contract with American Water Resources. And am seriously considering cancelling the rest of my contacts!!!

I called for an issue I was told it is covered and they never finished the job. However the assigned contractor asked over the phone for $2500 before he could finish. It turned out to be a nightmare. I gave up and went a different route.

Our sewer waste line is leaking, seems it cracked. Do not waste your money with this company, they charge you for sewer line plane that do not cover replacement of a sewer line. YOU ARE JUST WASTING YOUR MONEY!

I sold my home 2 years ago. They have billed me last year and this year. I have called countless times and have been told they can't find an account for me in order to cancel or request the refunds. This is preposterous!

I signed up for the "Water Line and Sewer Line Protection Program" with American Water Resources (AWR), paying $15 a month for NINE months—no issues, no claims, and absolutely NO customer service interaction until I needed them. They promise "peace of mind" and "protection from the unexpected." Guess what? They deliver NONE of that. After nine months of paying into this program, I had a blockage in my sewer line, exactly what I was paying them to protect against. But instead of getting help, AWR referred me to some so-called "expert" who asked if I had a 3D video of my sewer line (which I had already gotten inspected before I signed up for this program to make sure everything was in working order). I provided all the info, but guess what? They closed my case. Not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES! Then, after wasting my time with call after call, a supervisor FINALLY gets in touch—only to LIE straight to my face! They told me my sewer line was in "poor condition" before I signed up for their program, and therefore they canceled my account without warning, REFUSED to cover the claim, and HUNG UP on me before I could even respond. You read that right—THEY CANCELED MY ACCOUNT AND TERMINATED MY COVERAGE OVER A FALSE CLAIM! I kept calling back, only to be stonewalled by their joke of a customer service team. No one would let me speak to another supervisor. I was being charged monthly, even after they had the audacity to terminate me. Finally, I demanded they cancel my subscription and REFUND the money I paid for NINE months of nothing. They canceled the subscription, but you guessed it—NO REFUND. To anyone thinking about signing up with AWR: SAVE YOUR MONEY. They’ll take your cash, make promises, and when you actually need them, they'll ghost you, shut you down, and leave you with a mess. This company is a SCAM, plain and simple. They're happy to take your money but won’t help when it counts. Stay far, far away from American Water Resources. They don’t care about their customers—they care about padding their pockets.

They are very kind and considerate customer service is wonderful and whenever I call they return my call with concern and get the job done thank you.

Timing, professionalism, cost

I called into American Water Resources on 9/6/2024 due to discovering water in my basement like I did approximately 2 years ago when they came out and replaced an outside pipe. The phone customer service person kept demanding that I tell him we’re the water was leaking from, but I didn’t know. He stated that he couldn’t send anyone out until I told him we’re the leak was coming in from. I told him that is why I paid for the coverage. He stated hesitantly that he didn’t want to get in trouble submitting my claim if it wasn’t a covered loss. He told me he dispatched the claim and that a plumbing contractor would be contacting me within three days, after a very lengthy conversation explaining my dissatisfaction regarding my water problem. I never got a call from a plumbing contractor at all as of today, 9/21/2024. I’m very disappointed and upset. This is the second time I have used them within the last two months without getting needed repairs done after paying for the contracts!

AWR was easy to engage and response of assigning a service contractor was quick. We had the water leak stopped and fixed in no time. Totally satisfied!

American Water Resources came through for me the last time I called, even though they had denied me previously. They provided the service I needed after my plumber provided the diagnostic evidence they needed that there was indeed a blockage.

Following a previous negative experience, Johnny found a way to add protection to my current policy, combined all to be paid at the same time, removing the hassle of knowing what was due when.
