Dreadful service

Reported a domestic water leak almost 3 weeks ago. An initial visit confirmed it was the company's responsibility to repair but a follow up visit was needed. 3 weeks pass & the same technician turns up to take photos of the leak he saw 3 weeks before. In the interim no.proactive communication from the.companu. Promised callbacks never came. And.booked visits never happened. Awful! And I have no alternative provider.I can switch to. Simply.awful service

Incompetent

This started about 3 years ago. AW came to read the meter, we have one of those readers on an outside wall. We were informed it wasn't working, and that they would sort out a meter change as ours was old. Nothing happened. Covid struck, not a word from AW. Fast forward to Dec 22. We had a request to read the meter, which we did. We got told our DD would be going up to £188 a month, from £19. What a shock! Phoned AW who were confused as to why, I said well do you think it's because of the broken meter, that you knew about, but did absolutely nothing with. They sent someone out, we didn't have any issues, it was a misread by us...yes we did their job for them and read the meter. While here, it was noticed that the hose to the washing machine was leaking, my husband just stuck his hand in and tightened the hose onto the connector, why the AW person couldn't do that I don't know. He also said the meter needed updating, I said that it needs to be moved also. I am getting a new kitchen fitted, and told AW this on several occasions while attempting to get the meter changed and moved before the kitchen was fitted, after numerous calls, finally got them to agree to come out while the kitchen was empty and do the work. Well, AW turned up. Bloke looked me up and down, must of thought oh little woman here, easily bamboozled. Told me point blank the meter could not be moved. I said why not, he said he wasn't booked to do it. I'd just had enough. Told him to leave. Rang AW, and asked why the move had not been booked in. They said because it hadn't been mentioned, when I had mentioned it several times!! Their response? Get a plumber to move the meter where you want it then we will come back out and exchange it!!! Unbelievable! I have to sort out your incompetence. Told them to shove their meter exchange. My plumber will move the meter, and sometime down the line, when I can be bothered, if I can be bothered, I might call them to exchange it. I have never dealt with such an incompetent company.

CONSTANTLY SAYING SORRY IS NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE

I have been chasing these people for two years and nine months ever since they made a small billing error which should have been easy to resolve. Since April 2020 I have been chasing them by phone roughly every four weeks. every time you speak to someone they tell you they have ten days to respond. ten days come and go but no response. They have registered a complaint, escalated the complaint but still no solution. They are constantly telling me that they have emailed me information but the emails are not on their system and they cannot tell me what email address they have been sent to. I know by posting this review I will get a very quick response. Having looked down some of the reviews it appears Anglian Water are only willing to comment on the 5-star rating reviews

Failing to help and turn up to a vulnerable person

Failed to turn up to my mother who has had to spend over £100 on a drainage cleaner due to Anglian Water failing to turn up to a blocked drain and a toilet blockage due to a build up of poo in the system AW never turned up at the specified time they said they would so mother had to spend money on a company to clean the blockage that built up under the road AW LOVES TO TAKE PEOPLES MONEY BUT WHEN IT COMES TO HELPING THE VULNERABLE THEY DO NOT CARE AND NEVER SHOW UP AS THEY PROMISE TO DISGUSTING SERVICE AND TERRIBLE SUPPORT I FEEL SICKENED THAT Anglian Water TOLD NOTHING BUT LIES from day one

Waited in all day!!!!

Waited in all day yesterday 21zt December 2022 for our blocked drain to clear as we have no shower or toilet to use . Nobody turned up . Could not get through to customer service. No empathy not even a message to say they are not coming Can somebody help

Anglian Water - Great Customer Service representative

Called AW to confirm a final water meter reading for a property being sold and for a final bill to be sent to my home address. Very polite and professional person (Jan) answered my call and promptly dealt with the matter. If only all utilities companies dealt with their clients like this........very well done Jan, you are certainly an excellent communicator and asset for AW.

Oliver Redden is great! What an asset he is to Anglian Water!

Oliver Redden has been fantastic. From start to finish my engagement with Anglian Water has been fabulous. Responsive, efficient, helpful and knowledgable. Oliver went above and beyond to help me with my drainage connection application to ensure it was approved in time for the contractor to commence work. He coached me through what I needed to send in and what I needed to ask my contractor for. Such a great experience! Thank you Oliver!

Shocking company

Shocking company. Although pre-payment of service has been made up till end December they are demanding payment till end March. Now receiving credit profile threatening letters even though i called them stating payment will be made 1st January 23. Pity we cannot choose another supplier.

I called Anglian Water to report a…

I called Anglian Water to report a sewage blockage which was causing sewage to leak in the middle of the road outside my house and blocking my own sewer. The Lady who dealt with my call was excellent. She was sympathetic, told me that someone would be with me soon. The team turned up within an hour cleared the blockage but said the sewer needed a thorough clean and that a team would come the following night. They came as promised. I have nothing but praise for the efficient way the issue was resolved.

Job reference. 22880164. Anglian water employee attending was Richard Evans. A very pleasant friendly and helpful gentleman who cleared our drain blockage quickly, and efficiently. I would like to thank him on behalf of myself, and my husband who has a cancer diagnosis, making a hygienic and functional drainage system essential. Thankyou Mr Evans. Xx
