Entering day 4 without mains water. No end in sight. Apparently they can’t find the cause of the supply failure.
Reported a domestic water leak almost 3 weeks ago. An initial visit confirmed it was the company's responsibility to repair but a follow up visit was needed. 3 weeks pass & the same technician turns up to take photos of the leak he saw 3 weeks before. In the interim no.proactive communication from the.companu. Promised callbacks never came. And.booked visits never happened. Awful! And I have no alternative provider.I can switch to. Simply.awful service

Telephoned Anglian Water as I had a query regarding removing the water meter cover to turn the water off. Amazingly for a utility company, found the telephone contact number easily, phoned and got straight through with only a minimum of options, spoke to really helpful lady who knew her stuff and advised me how to remove the cover . Excellent, only wish other utility companies were as efficient.
How do you justify a 10.7% increase in April when ministers keep telling us that inflation is going down and in fact is going down? Remember your email said the increase reflects the year ahead not the year just gone. How did you get the increase past Ofwat??? How is your record of river and beach pollution going?
I just spoke to a really lovely lady on the phone. She ran through everything with me as I had had a leak in my toilet which pushed my bill sky high. She sorted it all out, check my tariff to see which was best and was incredibly kind and helpful.
A water problem was reported months ago. I have had phone calls telling me they would come and fix the issue on 6-8 separate occasions and they either don't turn up or they come and promptly leave again! I asked to speak to a manager who I was told would call be within 48 hours-that was 6 weeks ago and nobody has bothered to call. Appalling Service
Instead of putting the prices up why not stop wasting money on pointless TV and paper advert campaigns?? People don't have a choice which water company they use as it's down to which area they live in, they just get who they get so adverts of any nature are absolutely unnecessary and a waste of money that can but utilised elsewhere.
For the last 2 or 3 years I have been getting letters / emails from AW saying they are installing smart water meters in my area but then nothing happens. When I enquired they apologised and sent me a link to book an appointment to have a smart water meter fitted. On the day in question I took the day off work, emptied the cupboard under the sink (they said they may require access to the stop cock), and waited. No one arrived or phoned. Enquired again and they apologised (£20 for missed appointment) and said that someone would contact me within 5 days. Well that was weeks ago and again nothing has happened other than another email saying 'they are shortly to install water meters in my area'. I suspect AW don't actually have any engineers / smart water meters just a marketing department that are good at making people think that AW are doing their bit for the environment. Unfortunately I am stuck with them as there is no competition like gas, electricity, phones etc.
I had a report from occupants of a property saying they had blocked drains. Their toilets were not flushing and the kitchen sink took a long time to drain away. On visiting the site first thing on Monday 23rd January 2023, I saw that the main drain was blocked and sewage had backed up the domestic pipes and the end result was as described above. I called Anglian Water and carefully negotiated their telephone system and was eventually put through to an operator who could focus on my request that the Drain Jetting Team visit the property and unblock the drains. I was kept informed the next day by text and also when the operatives were on site. I managed to visit an hour after receiving the text to see the two lads clearing up and completing the job. Fantastic! Sorted. Thank you very much Anglian Water for your professionalism and fixing the problem. Cheers, Edward
I logged an issue with our waste water online in the morning - by early afternoon an engineer was in attendance. Constant updates in regards to what time he would arrive. Issue dealt with swiftly with very clear explanation to myself and my neighbour. Very efficient service. I have always found Anglian Water to be very easy to deal with
I have just dealt with the customer service department by telephone. Many thanks to the excellent service provided by Stephen (Steven?) Kidson. So polite and professional, a shame other utility companies cannot match. Good old fashioned service, well done! Ron Ashton
