Prepare to be bombarded with spam calls

Signed up for an account, and then bombarded with spam calls & messages to my mobile number, confident this is from adding my number to ancestry.com. Avoid, wouldn’t advise giving them your details.

I'm unsubscribing

I'm unsubscribing, I feel as if the LDS is salivating over personal info so they can suck me into their world, I was married to one & lived in Utah, so no thanks, it's not for me. Bye

I have only just started getting my head around your site so I am in NO position to write you a review, certainly NOT in the near future. I am 79, disabled and have difficulty finding my way around the house, never mind your website details. It seems the norm now to pester people for reviews when they have not yet got their feet under the table ............. A good way to put people off continuing to search if constant pestering continues ....... I am sure you have heard this before? If so, do something about it and leave people alone! If I find that I am related to God, you will be the first to know, believe me! Janet S. MacLellan (Mrs.)

To unwind the past

This experience has been at best, uneven. On my mother's side there mistakes given by an unknown party. It seems that one cannot correct them without upgrading the account. On my father's side I believe(and I'm doing more research to confirm) that there were two people of the same name living at the same time but in different parts of the country. So, yes, you gave me a place to work from and it will be a struggle to unwind the past.

Untrue results

My mother is Italian/ Irish/ American Indian. None of those nationalities were mentioned. My father is French & German. German showed up but only %4 French. : ( Very unhappy with the results. I knew both my maternal and paternal grandparents so I know their stories and nationalities.

No muss

No muss, no fuss. Sent in my DNA test and was kept updated every step of the way. Have already referred Ancestry to several friends/family.

the good and not so good

the good: It was interesting to see the many components of my genealogical ancestry. Was even surprised by a couple of them. the not so good: The constant request for monthly monies if I want to delve any deeper.

I learned where I came from

I learned where I came from, which is something I have been thinking about forever. Now I know the roots of my other side after not having known any of them The company kept me informed each step of the way, as they analyzed my DNA sample It was great to hear almost daily what was happening and when I would get the results.
