I phoned wessex water at 0810 on Wednesday 09/07/25 to report a blockage in the sewer system at goss drive street Somerset.Less than two and a half hours later David Mitchell arrived, so hats off to Wessex water for the speedy response, and in particular to David Mitchell, he worked very hard in sweltering temperature conditions and cleared the blockage by 1300, keeping us residents informed of the situation and progress, a really nice guy! Well done and Many thanks to all at Wessex water
I was totally surprised by Wessex water, I was expecting a much harder time getting issue resolved, however Oscar was more than willing to help and was a pleasure to speak to.
Reported a blockage to out of hours council for a blockage in a public sewer and the man hole seemed to be in my back garden got no where last night so rang up again this morning and got put through to a drainage company who said they would raise the enquiry and someone would be in contact soon anyway 2 hours later I got a call from Wessex water saying an engineer would be out shortly within 30 mins of that call an engineer rang me and said he’d be 10 mins and with that 20 mins later and the blockage was cleared the engineer was friendly and efficient and did an amazing job would highly recommend Wessex water
Water pressure has been poor for 3 years. For many weeks now our water has been off at times every day. The water pressure has been blamed on the drought but it was happening before the hot weather. We did have some bottled water delivered which helped for drinking water but only for this week. 6 people in the house and we rarely have enough pressure for a shower.
Prompt and accurate info
The leak in the road that I reported still hasn't been fixed despite 2 deadlines being missed. However, I remain confident that you will eventually get round to finishing the job.
Operator was very nice and answered all questions quickly.
I contacted Wessex water to come out and check my drain in my garden. Engineer came out next day and diagnosed the problem. Great work.
Contacted three times about the same thing then on the last contact they told me to do the thing I had already explained I've done on the first contact...still not resolved the issues and it's been over a week.

The person I spoke to, Jordan I believe, was very helpful, exceptionally informative and gave me easy to understand information. I've had a few bad experiences with Customer Chats with companies like Eon and Amazon and have had occasions where I'm certain I was being passed over to an AI chatbot or someone who's first language wasn't English and we had a language barrier- but I felt that Wessex had reliable informative respectful people working here.
I didn’t receive a single update on my issue even when the water was turned off to my property no one knocked on the door to advise.
The chat lady Louise used my first name in a condescending way, not as a friendly way. The way my mother would if I wasn't doing as I was told. She then had the cheek to shorten my name, even though you ask for our name when starting a chat. If I want to be called Sally I would have put Sally. My account is also in the name of Sally-Ann so why? One of my bug bears is when someone thinks they can shorten your name when they don't even know you.

Had no idea where the water turned off outside as I had a leak spraying inside. Wessex water came quickly and located it buried deep in moss and grass. Very thankful 🙏
