I walked past a local water point that is leaking clean water across the road. I thought it would be a good idea to report it to my local water company. The app was difficult to use and would not allow me to upload photos. I was informed by email that they would look at my issue the next working day, that was fine as it wasn't urgent. The next email I received informed me that the incident has been resolved. I just drove over it and it's still leaking. So what's the point of the app? Feels like a waste of time and that the water company doesn't care.
It’s simple. Martin West was excellent. A great communicator, evaluated the situation, shared his thoughts and cleared the major drain. Job well done!
The ever incompetent Wessex Water increase prices by over 22% this week (8 x the rate of inflation) saying that it is to carry out the work needed to stop them chucking our sewerage into the public waterways and suddenly we get a letter that next week they are starting to install Smart Meters in our street. Surely smart meters are a much lower priority than ceasing sewerage dumping. The CEO at Wessex Wster has had 35 years to sort out the sewerage issue and failed. What is going on with their board of directors. Where are their priorities. ADD Quite a disappointing and somewhat patronising response from Wessex Water. It implies a struggle to pay the bills. Everyone will struggle and no matter how you pay it we all have to pay for our usage at the end of the day. Had the Directors of Wessex Water addressed the spillage issues from the start of privatisation 35 years ago, they would not be in the mess they are in. Instead they rather than reinvest dwindled much of their profits on shareholder dividends and bonuses for their incompetent leadership. They have also had to pay fines for polluting our regions lovely water ways. It’s a no brainer, water should be in the public sector. Wessex Water are inflation creators. Their ludicrous increases will have a direct negative impact on the national rate of inflation and will drive other prices up. The public should not be paying for the incompetence of this companies directors
Easy online reporting with prompt response. Thank you
We had a Will West and Zac Scott fix an issue with our waste pipe in our back garden and they were amazing. They did a brilliant job, we were super conscientious of taking things through our house, really polite, great communicators at let us know what is happening and what the next steps were, amazing with our kids when working and very careful with dirt through the house
No communication at all. Really need to think about all the people affected and not just the house that's having the work done.
Dealing with Wessex Water is always a pleasant experience. I find the staff helpful and informative, always obtaining the answer to my questions. This review specifically refers to the on line chat facility, which I used today. However, when I have contacted the call centre, I have always received a fantastic service there too.
Reported an issue and it was dealt with on the same day. Had a call from the engineer explaining what they’d done.
Great call all my questions answered
Super friendly chap
I needed to contact Wessex water to help with a water issue we were having, and everyone I spoke to whether by live chat or in person were so helpful and friendly. I really appreciated it.
No resolution whatsoever
Very Happy with the Live Chat. smooth and easy to navigate.
Lovely lady made my joining Wessex Water a joy. Very helpful, very kind .
Quick response issues solved.
Wessex water gave notice of their intention to start to repair the sewer in Northend on 7th April. The road was coned off but no work could start until 9th because management had forgotten to order the Harris railings. The trench was dug but work has now stopped because not all the health and safety procedures are in place. In the meantime, teams of 4 or more people have nothing to do. Not their fault. Why are management so incompetent? Do they think of the money and resources they are wasting everyday because of problems of their own making. Do they think about the prolonged inconvenience they cause? Water companies already have a bad reputation. Sadly this makes me realise their ability to waste money is even greater than I realised. Sad too for the men who do the work and probably have to take the rap.
Yet another positive customer service contact this time with Vicky - very polite and efficient . If only more were like these staff from Wessex Water . Excellent service thank you Vicky . A pleasure to give such positive feedback
Alastair Haste and his team have listened to my (and my neighbor’s) concerns, have made three on-site visits to assess the issues, and have reported back with constructive comment and projected remedial action. Still to put the plan into action, but this far I am very pleased with the service provided by all the WW staff that I have been in communication with. There seems to be a good vibe and work ethic.
Initial visit on Wednesday, needed to call in another gang to do the work - estimated delay to carry this out was 28 days. Phone call 2 hrs after initial visit, 'can we come to carry out the work this evening?' They arrived at 6pm, and completed at 10pm. That's service!! Thank you
