I was asked to enter a code which was sent to me by email. It was a six digit number but the form I was completing wanted an eight digit number and there was no way I could point this out!
Had an issue spoke over online chat to Amy who took details, recommended actions and was very helpful and knowledgeable, would recommend using the chat as its easy to use and a human being at the customer end not a bot!
Blocked sewer near the boundary of the property reported at 18.30 on a bank holiday weekend Saturday, they were on site by 21.30 and what looked like a quick fix turned into a several hour job, but they got it done. Great service and work from James & Ben, plus the office for keeping me updated. Thank you!
Contacting Wessex Water using the online chat option is always seamless and easy. I have never had to wait in long queues and the advisors are always really helpful and solve my query promptly.
‘Dirty water coming out of the taps’ Later was informed that work had been carried out on the water supply in my area, which had resulted in sediment coming through the pipes. Followed advice, at different times during the day - turn on the tap at the point of entry, A link was supplied to claim for compensation as I am on a water meter. A positive experience
The lady who I spoke to on the phone at Wessex Water was very helpful and arranged everything for me. It didn’t take long for the lovely young men to come and unblock my drain. Thank you very much
The various people I spoke to were very helpful. I tried to fill in the online form to get the rainwater reduction but being elderly and not good with computers i couldn't complete the final bit. The call handlers sorted it out with no fuss.
Today was our third call out to Wessex Water in the past seven years and, as on previous occasions, they dealt with the problem quickly and with great efficiency. thank you!
Wessex Water are always ready to help ! We have had a recurring problem with our sewer, it gets blocked often, but as soon as I report it they attend, usually the same day, the people on the phone, online and the guys who turn up to do the work are always polite and well mannered, the job gets done quickly and this time we might be getting a more permanent solution.
friendly and helpful, should save me some money.
I found the online survey difficult but the direct phone call with Simon was good
From a customer service point-of-view, the company deserve the 5 stars. I just hope we have our water metre fitted soon and the promised contact will be forthcoming. If so then this company are clearly doing all they can to live up to their promise. Thank you for the quick advice.
I got the impression that I was Talking with a real person and not AI
Fast helpful response Yes all the right things and came back very quickly with an answer
I know, it is in the middle of 2025. In 2019-2021 wessex water took money out of my benefit allowance every month for many, many years. I had no problem with that. Makes sense yes? In 2019 i went into hospital and everything went wrong and i was in a coma for a very long time. Months it took and when eventually discharged from hospital, my story so breathtaking as how i managed to survive, i was on the news. Wessex water who had been receiving money out of benefits until my time in hospital curtailed them, billed me. I am a poor old man, living in a 1 bed shoebox. When i spoke to wessex water just 2 weeks ago as now i have no income at all because i am being "migrated from ESA to UC" I said to them at the same time, "how come you took money each month when i was in a coma, no one was here!" The lady on the phone said, "well now, from what i am looking at, the dates you are talking about shows you used more water then than you have ever used. (Thats a quote) These water company's have not the slightest idea and hold us all over the "water barrel". Their "customer service is breathtakingly awful if you are "poor". 1 bed flat.....6 months in hospital and i used MORE water then, "than you ever have done". Ask them to prove it. What they do is say, "prove you were nearly dead"....Nope....you prove i used water. You cant because you "guesstimate". Bullys, nasty, nasty bullys. Awful experience and there is nothing anyone can do about it
Helpful chat online
The chat experience was easy and my query solved immediately. The only reason I marked it 4* rather than 5* was the reason given in answer to my query hadn't been notified to me by prior correspondence.
Easy to arrange call out online Also the the speed to sort out the drain
Online form takes 3 days for a response. Telephone kept on queue with excuses of being “busy”. I had to stop waiting. No help or answers at all for why the water pressure has dropped to a trickle and no way to predict the restoration of supply.
