Poor customer service

Can't believe a simple process of getting started with a SIM could be made so difficult. The initial information with the SIM indicated that once it was in the phone and registered it would take 24 hours to activate. After 24 hours it hadn't so contacted them through the Chatbot and was advised it takes up to 48 hours. It activated after 54 hours, other SIM's I have used take an hour at most. Not liking the service I decided to cancel, another process that is not straight forward. If you cancel then the contract is not cancelled until you use your STAC with another provider. I wasn't going to use the STAC. You can't remove your payment card from your account unless you contact them. I ended up pausing my contract and will let it time out over the 6 months timing out period. Everything about Voxi is designed to make it difficult for the customer.

I'm shocked at reading all the negative reviews. Been with Voxi for a good few years now after deciding to avoid expensive contracts and to buy my phones outright. I've had no issues at all with Voxi and only had to speak to them when I first moved to them, which must have been over 4 years ago. You get great sim only deals and they are essentially Vodafone, so you're getting a great network as well. You can also keep an eye on the website, and if a new plan comes along that offers more, usually always at the same price you're already paying, you simply purchase a new plan, which I've literally just done. I would take the negative views as a pinch of salt. Voxi are fine and I was happy with customer service when I did speak to them, but that was many years ago. The fact I don't need to call customer service shows I've had no issues.

Voxi – Surprisingly Excellent Value with Solid Performance

’ve been using Voxi for a while now and honestly, it’s been a genuinely great experience all round. The 5G speeds are fast and reliable, especially in London — no lag, no buffering, no dropped signals, just seamless connectivity whether I’m on the tube platform or walking through central. Even when I travel around the UK, coverage holds up really well. For a low-cost network, it punches way above its weight. Sure, it’d be great if EU roaming was included, but even then, paying £10 for 60GB of data is an absolute no-brainer. The value you get is hard to beat, especially with unlimited social media usage on top. It just works. No fuss, no hidden charges, no nonsense. Voxi might be low-cost, but it doesn’t feel budget — and that’s rare. Highly recommended.

Awful customer service and plan

Awful customer service and plan. Customer service used to be good but now it's bey poor with lots of copy and paste answers where they don't actually read the issues you are having. They also don't have a contact number to ring on so you HAVE to deal with the poor customer service online. Also I got a plan with 60gb and they are telling me I have ran out of data even though this isn't true when looking at my usage. When I tried to raise this with CS they wouldn't address this. Also the "perks" (in quotation marks as they are hardly perks) are very poor compared to other providers. Also the free social data seems like a con - quite from CS when I said social data was being included in my overall usage - "for you to enjoy unlimited social media data whilst using WhatsApp means you should have normal data for it to work and that depletes your data.". So basically saying that using WhatsApp (which is meant to be free data), will in fact actually deplete it.

Down for maintenance

Website down for maintenance. Need to buy a roaming pass but cannot. No indication when back up. So it will cost me to set it up as will be abroad by then. Not happy

Bought phone and returned as arranged…

Bought phone and returned as arranged with VOXI . No refund given in 2 weeks . Dreadful customer service , no contact number and Vodafone deny anything to do with them . 5 times asked to did i get email to confirm refund , never received . Passed all over the place , denying I even had an order . Rude throughout . Still waiting for my money . Do not use ever . 0001000045924667 Response unsatisfactory. I don’t need to chase up return of my money after spending hours talking to incompetents . There is clearly an issue with the refunds department and also between VOXI and Vodafone . How much worse will they be when they are incorporated with three.Still missing my £460. 18/6 Still waiting for refund and imaginary email or text to come . Can only go by my own experience but do not buy from VOXI . Still no refund 15 days later . Eventually said they sent text to phone number that was never activated and sent back . Absolute dregs .

Charge without authorization

I applied for a VOXI SIM in late 2023 but never activated it or logged in due to login issues. Since March 2025, I’ve been charged £12 monthly without authorization. VOXI claims the account was active, but I dispute this as I never used the service. They offered a pro-rated refund for this month only, refusing to refund previous charges. I can’t access my account to opt out, and they haven’t provided evidence of activation. Poor customer service—avoid this provider unless they resolve this fairly.

Awful Experience

Awful Experience, Stay Away. I honestly can’t stress enough how shockingly poor VOXI’s service has been. It’s been nothing short of a nightmare from start to finish. It all started when I simply contacted their customer service to make a small inquiry about a charge in my plan named “unlimited music video 150gb” and instead of telling me that it’s actually just the name of my contract, they immediately cancelled my existing contract. There was no warning, no explanation — just cut me off. Then the chaos continued. I tried to set up a new plan, and their system kept failing. They took payments from my account 4 times, yet somehow failed to activate a new SIM or account. Due to system errors etc. It felt less like signing up and more like being drained of my money AND time with nothing in return. To add insult to injury, their “solution” was to put me on a Vodafone 12 month contract instead, which made no sense given I chose VOXI for a flexible, monthly SIM but I was so desperate for data (I had places to be in a couple of hours) that u went for it. They lied and said I’d have data immediately and after nearly 24 hours, the service was still inactive and I was left stranded without phone or data. In the end, I chose to cancel everything. I also asked if I’d get a full refund if I’m able to cancel and they said yes. Yet now they’re telling me there’ll be a 50p charge, for what??? I don’t care about 50p but it’s just the moral of it. My time was wasted continuously, if anything im the one who should be compensated for all their mistakes and time wasting. The whole experience was just a messy, frustrating and needless waste of time and energy. I will not be touching VOXI again. Save yourself the trouble — stay away from this provider.

Great

Great! Overall! But the free stuff thing is definitely a scam. No matter when I visit it the codes are ALWAYS taken. Im starting to think there's not as many codes as they claim/the same people wait and wait and claim it. Should be a limit to how many peope can claim in the free stuff in a year.

Thieves

Only use this company if you are happy to be ripped off. They failed to cancel when asked to do so, sent emails telling me paying to a defunct account. As there policy says will only refund two months payment, and being paying for a supposedly closed account since November last year they are keeping £60 they are not entitled to. OFCOM complaint is being made. EDIT The phone number merely directs you to go online then ends the call. The agent intimated that I was liar. I do not have Facebook in this name and I do not have X at all.

When things go wrong, it’s never their fault

If nothing goes wrong, Voxi is as good as any other network. But when things go awry, they are terrible. Out of a sudden, calls and texts stopped getting through to my Voxi number (apart from calls from other Voxi subscribers). I contacted customer service online and was basically told it was the fault of every other network, not Voxi. Funnily enough, when I wanted to get a PAC, I needed to receive a security text from Voxi, but this did not get through as well (fault of the sender, you might say – but not according to the customer service person). Eventually, I was told I had to go into a Vodafone shop with proof of ID and address to have the issue resolved. Even then, the customer service advisor persisted, saying it was not Voxi’s fault. I hope I will not lose my number as I am moving to a network that can solve its issues without blaming everyone else like a spoiled brat. And you are just left with no calls or texts coming in - the callers get a message saying, ‘You dialled an incorrect number’.

Issue with referral and not paying out

So joined with the promise of a voucher through their referral scheme 2 payments later and no sign of the voucher. Spoke on webchat 3 time and the same merry go round il send a form to the back office team which takes 48 hours then a text saying my email address is incorrect bear in mind this was the email I passed security with on the chat. Then it's please contact our webchat again and then the merry go round starts again I've had enough and will be moving elsewhere rubbish service and not upholding their promos
