Poor customer service

Can't believe a simple process of getting started with a SIM could be made so difficult. The initial information with the SIM indicated that once it was in the phone and registered it would take 24 hours to activate. After 24 hours it hadn't so contacted them through the Chatbot and was advised it takes up to 48 hours. It activated after 54 hours, other SIM's I have used take an hour at most. Not liking the service I decided to cancel, another process that is not straight forward. If you cancel then the contract is not cancelled until you use your STAC with another provider. I wasn't going to use the STAC. You can't remove your payment card from your account unless you contact them. I ended up pausing my contract and will let it time out over the 6 months timing out period. Everything about Voxi is designed to make it difficult for the customer.

I'm shocked at reading all the negative…

I'm shocked at reading all the negative reviews. Been with Voxi for a good few years now after deciding to avoid expensive contracts and to buy my phones outright. I've had no issues at all with Voxi and only had to speak to them when I first moved to them, which must have been over 4 years ago. You get great sim only deals and they are essentially Vodafone, so you're getting a great network as well. You can also keep an eye on the website, and if a new plan comes along that offers more, usually always at the same price you're already paying, you simply purchase a new plan, which I've literally just done. I would take the negative views as a pinch of salt. Voxi are fine and I was happy with customer service when I did speak to them, but that was many years ago. The fact I don't need to call customer service shows I've had no issues.

Voxi – Surprisingly Excellent Value with Solid Performance

’ve been using Voxi for a while now and honestly, it’s been a genuinely great experience all round. The 5G speeds are fast and reliable, especially in London — no lag, no buffering, no dropped signals, just seamless connectivity whether I’m on the tube platform or walking through central. Even when I travel around the UK, coverage holds up really well. For a low-cost network, it punches way above its weight. Sure, it’d be great if EU roaming was included, but even then, paying £10 for 60GB of data is an absolute no-brainer. The value you get is hard to beat, especially with unlimited social media usage on top. It just works. No fuss, no hidden charges, no nonsense. Voxi might be low-cost, but it doesn’t feel budget — and that’s rare. Highly recommended.

Awful customer service and plan

Awful customer service and plan. Customer service used to be good but now it's bey poor with lots of copy and paste answers where they don't actually read the issues you are having. They also don't have a contact number to ring on so you HAVE to deal with the poor customer service online. Also I got a plan with 60gb and they are telling me I have ran out of data even though this isn't true when looking at my usage. When I tried to raise this with CS they wouldn't address this. Also the "perks" (in quotation marks as they are hardly perks) are very poor compared to other providers. Also the free social data seems like a con - quite from CS when I said social data was being included in my overall usage - "for you to enjoy unlimited social media data whilst using WhatsApp means you should have normal data for it to work and that depletes your data.". So basically saying that using WhatsApp (which is meant to be free data), will in fact actually deplete it.

Trustworthy but done with the services.. whenever I try to buy data/internet since i travel a lot it’s a TORTURE to sign in. “Hmmm, that didn't work as expected. Please bear with us as we squash the last few bugs” pops up and always have to go on live chat to buy internet. It takes half an hour to buy a internet package every single time!

Webchat never connects... no help at all

I have tried to connect to the webchat for the past few months, all it ever does is glitch and never connects. I have been paying for a phone number I have never used and because I cannot connect to the webchat, they will not cancel it through social media. Another problem is that I am paying for my grandmother, who is 85 and does not have social media, nor does she speak english. Yet they have been telling me that she needs to contact them through social media? It's quite ridiculous at this point. I spent over 3 hours chatting to them through social media and after all of the security questions, codes, and back and forth, they told me they still can't do anything. I am absolutely tired of this, I have been with Voxi for a long time but will not be recommending from now on, as it is an absolute scam and waste of time.

Worst network system I have ever seen in my life. It's too much I am fading up with Voxi. And now I am gonna change my sim and it's my suggestion to don't take this sim.

Can't even deliver something as simple as a sim. 7 days it's been missing from 😂

Charged me 10 pound for a rolling contract sim. Paid for the sim and they've failed to deliver go on live chat they keep disconnecting talk through X and they tell me I can't get my money back. Absoultely ridiculous. Oh yeah I missed the small detail of paying for a pixel 8 which they also didn't deliver and so far haven't received my refund. If you want to get scammed feel free to take out a contract with this so called business s

The package is cheap BUT they throttle you!

I ordered 3 voxi sim deals - which by the way was annoying because you have to place the order 1 at a time and each time, you HAVE to create a new account... you cannot have more than 1 sim card per account. So i had to have 3 usernames + passwords. The package is cheap and their customer service, whilst they take a long time to action the smallest things, they genuinely do want to help but I feel like they are overworked (too many open support chats per operator) because their responses are super slow... a task that takes 5mins took almost 40min. However, the reason for my low stars is because they throttle the network speeds. In July 2024 o2 and Vodafone signed an agreement to share networks to increase the performance for everyone and since Voxi is a part of Vodafone, using the Vodafone network, the data speeds should be comparable - so you would think! Sat on my chair I checked both the o2 sim and the Voxi sim before porting my number away from o2.... For this test, I used my Samsung S23 Ultra and I did not use the dual-sim option, I placed 1 sim in the Sim1 slot at a time, restart the phone and ran my tests. I tested each sim 3 times and got the following averages: O2 Results: Signal Strength (bars): 4 out of 5 Data Connection: 5G Download Speeds: 270Mbps Upload Speeds: 20.2Mbps Ping: 4ms Voxi Results: Signal Strength (bars): 2 out of 5 Data Connection: 4G Download: 36Mbps Upload: 10Mbps Ping: 40ms I spoke to Voxi live chat support and they said the download speed averages are 40-48Mbps, so it was almost at expected. They use the same network but they throttle the speeds - that's how they can afford to give away big data bundles cheaper than everyone else. It would have been 1 star but their support team were at least genuinely trying to help.

Voxi cancelled my order to make me buy at higher price

Bought a phone and sim during the black Friday deal. I received confirmation it would be sent via next day delivery. One week on after repeatedly trying to access the portal, which fails due to a confirmation number which the portal glitches on, and trying to contact a human (the chat bot also glitches when asking to speak to a person). I've just been told the order is cancelled and I will need to reorder, obviously without the deal in place. Customer service was very poor, they said it "could have happened for many reasons" when asked and just told me I had to reorder without the deal. Very poor all round

Good coverage and for a seemingly low price...but be warned!

Good coverage and for a seemingly reasonable price.... HOWEVER where they get you is by not including any roaming in other countries - even in the EU! So you always have to pay extra when travelling and it's very expensive. The 'benefits' (Voxi Drop) are minimal. Any codes are already mysteriously gone by the first day of the month and they tell you to check back at the beginning of the month. I am starting to think it is a scam. I've been with Voxi for years, however there are much better options out there for phone contracts that are cheaper and offer better packages and benefits.

Not helping and feel like I'm being lied too.

Really struggling to see why I should stay with voxi after refiring a friend to them and being told I'd get a reward when clearly this isn't the case I've been told twice now I'd be sent an email and I haven't my friend that has joined got the code to redeem via email. I've been told I won't get one as out of stock the. Told by a different member of staff I will once the form has been done and had a text from voxi that makes no sense at all. Promised an email with the code to redeem and still nothing so might just end up leaving them all together. Tbh the voucher code isn't the problem it's now the treatment as a customer for the last 5 years and if this is the customer service I don't want to give my money to them.

Just gets worse and worse

I wrote a review yesterday, but my issue is still unresolved, and the handling has been completely unprofessional. After a poorly timed missed call while I was at work, I later received an unrequested temporary password, which was alarming. Chat support dismissed it as “not a big deal” and made me wait 20 minutes for a manager—something that’s happened multiple times, with no resolution. The lack of care and proper procedures is shocking, and there is still no solution, which is why I’m posting again.
