Poor customer service

Can't believe a simple process of getting started with a SIM could be made so difficult. The initial information with the SIM indicated that once it was in the phone and registered it would take 24 hours to activate. After 24 hours it hadn't so contacted them through the Chatbot and was advised it takes up to 48 hours. It activated after 54 hours, other SIM's I have used take an hour at most. Not liking the service I decided to cancel, another process that is not straight forward. If you cancel then the contract is not cancelled until you use your STAC with another provider. I wasn't going to use the STAC. You can't remove your payment card from your account unless you contact them. I ended up pausing my contract and will let it time out over the 6 months timing out period. Everything about Voxi is designed to make it difficult for the customer.

I'm shocked at reading all the negative reviews. Been with Voxi for a good few years now after deciding to avoid expensive contracts and to buy my phones outright. I've had no issues at all with Voxi and only had to speak to them when I first moved to them, which must have been over 4 years ago. You get great sim only deals and they are essentially Vodafone, so you're getting a great network as well. You can also keep an eye on the website, and if a new plan comes along that offers more, usually always at the same price you're already paying, you simply purchase a new plan, which I've literally just done. I would take the negative views as a pinch of salt. Voxi are fine and I was happy with customer service when I did speak to them, but that was many years ago. The fact I don't need to call customer service shows I've had no issues.

Voxi – Surprisingly Excellent Value with Solid Performance

’ve been using Voxi for a while now and honestly, it’s been a genuinely great experience all round. The 5G speeds are fast and reliable, especially in London — no lag, no buffering, no dropped signals, just seamless connectivity whether I’m on the tube platform or walking through central. Even when I travel around the UK, coverage holds up really well. For a low-cost network, it punches way above its weight. Sure, it’d be great if EU roaming was included, but even then, paying £10 for 60GB of data is an absolute no-brainer. The value you get is hard to beat, especially with unlimited social media usage on top. It just works. No fuss, no hidden charges, no nonsense. Voxi might be low-cost, but it doesn’t feel budget — and that’s rare. Highly recommended.

Awful customer service and plan

Awful customer service and plan. Customer service used to be good but now it's bey poor with lots of copy and paste answers where they don't actually read the issues you are having. They also don't have a contact number to ring on so you HAVE to deal with the poor customer service online. Also I got a plan with 60gb and they are telling me I have ran out of data even though this isn't true when looking at my usage. When I tried to raise this with CS they wouldn't address this. Also the "perks" (in quotation marks as they are hardly perks) are very poor compared to other providers. Also the free social data seems like a con - quite from CS when I said social data was being included in my overall usage - "for you to enjoy unlimited social media data whilst using WhatsApp means you should have normal data for it to work and that depletes your data.". So basically saying that using WhatsApp (which is meant to be free data), will in fact actually deplete it.

Friend referral scheme is a scam

Friend referral scheme is a scam. I’ve contacted VOXI 3 times now, they are online only so no phone call possible and no email - you can only speak to them on live chat. and believe me it’s painful. The live chat doesn’t work well on mobile - the page isn’t formatted properly. I’ve asked for a complaint contact email address and been told one doesn’t exist. I feel awful because I referred a friend to them. This was back in January - neither us received the voucher promised. The only positive is it’s no contract so we are able to easily cancel and move on. Just be warned the referral scheme is a scam - we are 3 months of payments since the referral and no voucher received. And before VOXI reply saying check your junk, we both have repeatedly and on my last contact with your customer service team I was advised the vouchers had ran out and were waiting to be restocked. If you don’t have stock of the reward, you should stop advertising the reward. I’ve made a friend switch services when they probably wouldn’t have.

Incompetent support staff

I left Voxi, and ported my number. Thereafter I wanted to log into my account to ensure that my plan and recurring payment were cancelled. Turns out you can't do that. Login requires OTP, and that doesn't seem to arrive on your number once it's ported. So I couldn't check that. I also had some pay as you go credit on the account, which I wanted refunded. So I contacted them vial live chat. 30 min, 3 different people (wrong team twice - how? I didn't get to choose one) and several security checks later I still have not managed to get anyone to confirm that my plan was cancelled, and that my refund was on the way.... Still on the live chat as I write this. Wish me luck. It's insane. No one seems to know what they are doing at that company. Edit: 20 min later, still no progress. Edit: 2 weeks later the allegedly processed refund of my credit still hasn't arrived. I have in writing that it was processed and would take 5-7 working days. Dreading spending another hour trying to get that sorted.

AVOID

Unfortunately, even giving 1 star feels like too much. My 16-year-old daughter left for a school trip to France yesterday. Before she left the UK, we purchased a 2-day roam pass for her. The payment went through, so we assumed everything was fine — until she messaged us from a friend’s phone saying her roaming wasn’t working. Restarting the phone didn’t help. I contacted their so-called support team via Facebook, and the response I got was laughable: "Sorry for the inconvenience, please ask your daughter to contact us directly." Are you serious? I’m literally telling you she has no way to contact anyone because your network has failed her completely. This is typical copy-paste, scripted nonsense with zero effort to actually help. As soon as my daughter is back, we’re switching to another provider — one that actually has a working support line I can call and speak to a real person. Avoid this network at all costs. It's a waste of time and money. Oh, and by the way — roaming only started working after we paid for an additional 1-day and 2-day roam pass. What a joke.

we have tried to contact voxi chat for over an hour today after they sent me a message on 26th of March to say get in touch about a free plan for April after being cut from the chat 4 TIMES today this Provided is a full WASTE of time don't bother with this provider as they have NO customer service Skills or how to look after there Customers PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE AVOID at all cost Definitely NOT Worth The Effort....Lost of other networks out there......to spend your Hard Earned MONEY

fraudulent scam

A friend recommended me to Voxi and said after 3 payments you will get £20 voucher. I did 3 payments and no voucher. I chat to Customer service 4 times and every time saying will send it to you which turned up its a scam. Never received a voucher and I made 9 payments. Its fraudulent scam never trust them.

Referral scheme a SCAM

If you join voxi hoping you'll get a referral voucher for referring friends....don't hold your breath. TWICE they have fobbed me off saying that it is MY fault as they 'sent the email' and I never claimed the voucher....pack of lies. First time I thought maybe they were right..second time round...100% know they are wrong. I checked my spam folder constantly to make sure I didn't miss this next mystery email..nothing was sent .but their 'dedicated team' as they call them says they sent it. I will be taking my money elsewhere unfortunately which is a shame as their tariffs are great prices.

Zero Star for Voxi

Zero Star for Voxi This company deploys all the shady tactics! So I wanted an e-Sim. I go on their site to get one. Sign-up process was fairly straight forward and I got debited for the sim and data bundle I requested. And I got an email saying that I will get the sim within 24 hours. This is where the good news ends. After 24 hours, I contacted customer support (CS1). They said I need to wait for 48 hours. I said okay and waited for 48 hours. Still no e-sim. I contacted customer support (CS2) again, and after about an hour, they said my order was cancelled. I was not notified of the cancellation, nor was I told the reason. I pressed and they finally told me it was due to missing of EID number; whatever that means.The CS2 said I should make another request but at this point, I was no longer interested. I asked for my money back since I did not get the product and service I paid for and another merry-go-round started. The CS2 said I need to make another request. I requested for a supervisor but CS2 said they have to send me a physical sim before they can issue a refund. I left it and went back the next day. I got another CS this time: CS3. CS3 said I must request for a physical SIM before I can get a refund. I refused since I did not need a physical sim before they took my money. I left it and went back the fourth time. The new CS4 said I need to have an account before they can issue me a refund. To have an account, I need a mobile number. But I did not get any e-sim from Voxi, so I do not have any mobile number. CS4 said I need to supply my EID for the account to be created. Again, I said I do not have an EID since I did not get any sim. I then asked for a supervisor. CS4 finally came back and asked me to submit my card details used in making the payment. I supplied it and four days later I got my money. I initiated this on the 5th of February and eventually got my money by 10th March 2025. Voxi and its agents purposely made every effort to frustrate my refund request which is so shady and in horrible taste.

Absolutely terrible service, drops signal all the time compared it with my brothers Vodafone sim and Vodafone never dropped a signal even through the tunnels.
