We signed up to V4 Consumer on the promise of “up to 24Mbps” broadband. In reality, the best speed we’ve ever had is 12Mbps, and on several occasions it has dropped to 0Mbps despite showing a signal. It’s completely unreliable. We have had to just use the data on our mobile phones while in the house. When we raised this issue months ago, they admitted there were no upgrades planned in our area. Their only “solution” has been to offer a small discount on our monthly bill, which to me is an admission that the service isn’t good enough. But they still refuse to let us leave the contract without paying a huge termination fee (north of £300). I have now reported this company to the Ombudsman. Terrible service, unhelpful support, and a company that clearly doesn’t care about its customers. In my opinion this is a scam company. Avoid V4 Consumer at all costs.

Terrible, when they want to make you offers they call you multiple times a day from different numbers but as soon they need to refund you they dont reply. STAY AWAY

I got complete resolution for what could have been brushed off as an intermittent issue. From making sure the home checks are done to locating the fault with the network and following up after engineer visit, everything was taken care of.

This company is is a joke the speeds are rubbish restict service and will not help the most vulnerable families so left with no Internet till my payday

It is a fraud service and always charges me more money. My home broadband begins Feb 2025. From Feb 2025 to now (July 2025), V4 Consumer already charged me more twice. Every time they do not provide refund and I have to get my refund through raise a dispute to the Ombudsman. This time, they charged me more again, and sent me a refund confirmation email on 7 July 2025. Through the refund confirmation letter, i should receive the refund within 14 days. However, I do not receive! I have to claim money through small claim court. Anyway, tips for other customers, the Ombudsman and Small claims Court can get the money back from the company.

I was struggling with payments. MALIK rang me and was the most kind and understanding person i've spoken to on the phone..he listened,clarified details so i fully understood. He helped me to recieve the best possible outcome. He is a credit to you're company and i wouldnt hessitate to recommend the company to a friend because of MALIK'S help.

Arpa has been so helpful and committed to solving a problem we had with our landline - he is the ultimate help, always persevering and following through with calls to check the issue has been sorted. Very humble too. Thank you - brilliant customer service!

We selected V4 Consumer as our new Internet provider six weeks ago, and their service has been first class. The most important thing is to be able to talk to a real person without delay, and our contact, Malik, has been brilliant, answering all of my dumb questions accurately and politely. The whole experience so far has been great.

Great Help.

The worse provider of any broadband I have ever used and worst customer service from anything I have experienced. They stopped taking payments from me without me knowing, when I called for something else i was advised that they could not help me or discuss anything with me due to my account being with a debt collector!!! The first man I spoke to would not give me any further information and was extremely rude. I then spoke to another lady who was trying to help but did not understand at all that I had not cancelled the direct debit and it was in fact V4 consumer that had stopped taking payment without any communications to me about this. It was not until I wrote a formal letter that anyone took the situation seriously. When they eventually reduced the early termination fee and took me off the debt list they called it "a goodwill gesture", when the entire thing was their fault. I have never missed a payment in my life and in the process of buying a property- their mistake could have jeopardised that and their staff were rude and unhelpful. I would not recommend v4 consumer to anyone

Too early to say much about actual speed etc. Much the same as before. But, they were very quick and responsive to questions and helped me set up things, esp. VoIP phone. So far been impressed as you are talking to people willing to help.

Quick service, nothing too much trouble, excellent after care. This service was for my mum, who has dementia and needs a phone, so the quick service helped her keep calm. Thank you all and especially Amil

The support I’ve received has been wonderful

I rang V4 customer service about a question on my bill about an Express assurance. Arpa, the account representative, clearly explained the benefits of that Assurance. When I asked about any cost reduction on my total bill (I have V4 Broadband and a SIM only contract for my mobile phone), he patiently checked what he could do to offer reductions and he listened to me when I said that I didn't want to extend my contract. He managed to give me some small but appreciated discounts without extending my contract.
